I wasn't dressed like a complete slob or anything, but right from the start I felt like I wasn't treated any differently than any other person. Top notch staffing here. We were seated at a table that was beautiful and semi-private and they had a birthday card prepared for me as soon as we settled in. The waiter was very experienced and pleasant. 5 stars for that gentleman. I had a wedge salad and for the first time in my life, A5 wagyu filet mignon. My wife had the sea bass. Of course we shared. Both dishes were amazing. Everything else we at was delicious as well. No complaints whatsoever. After we finished eating, Steak 48 wasn't done with us yet. They came by with a complimentary dessert that they beautifully presented me. My clothes didn't fit anymore by the time we finished with that. We're already thinking about our next trip here. This is a very fancy steak restaurant in Beverly Hills, we went with a big group so it was great because we got to try everything. Everything on the menu sounds delicious, it's really hard to just order a few things. Right off the bat they come out with freshly made buttered biscuits. Their prawn appetizer is so fresh and delicious. The corn brûlés stole the show, we ordered two different types of potatoes, the cheesy ones were Yum. We also ordered the calamari appetizer, cream, spinach, the table ordered bacon, which came hanging and just dripping with goodness. I don't really eat bacon, but I tried a little piece. The table ordered steak, which I don't really eat. I got the Sea bass crusted with Parmesan. It was cooked very well, I think I was just seafood-ed out. The service is exceptional, but what do you expect for a restaurant in Beverly Hills. Our server was amazing. I forgot his name, but he was Greek, and he made the dining experience just so much better because of his cherry attitude and jokes, he told us, he made us laugh. First off, I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time and checking their dress code before going. When I pulled up to the valet, I saw a gentleman in a Nike tracksuit get turned away by security, which I honestly appreciated, it showed they take their classy, upscale atmosphere seriously. Once inside, we checked in and were seated right away. From the very start, the service was flawless. One of the gentlemen assisting our lead waiter greeted us immediately, asked if we preferred sparkling or flat water, and brought out their signature bread, which was super tasty. Our lead waiter then came by with the menu and wine/cocktail list, giving great recommendations. We wanted to make sure we had room for everything, and I'm glad we did because every dish was phenomenal. For starters, we had the heirloom tomato topped with crab meat, avocado, and pesto, and the beet salad, which they kindly split onto two plates for us to share. My wife ordered the oysters, which were spectacular. For our main course, we went with the 22-ounce aged ribeye, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. We followed our waiter's suggestion to go just a touch over medium-rare since the steak continues to cook slightly on the hot platter as it's brought to the table. Excellent call! We were also celebrating my wife's birthday, and the staff went above and beyond. Took my partner here for Valentine's Day and honestly, this was our fourth or fifth time at Steak 48, and somehow it keeps getting better. At this point I feel like I should just set up a mailing address here because it genuinely feels like home. Toni took care of us the whole night and made everything so smooth. We went all out with the mushrooms, blue point oysters, shells and cheese, the ribeye, and Caesar salad. Then for dessert we got the red velvet banana pudding, which is exactly as amazing as it sounds.
