    House steak with Veges
    Marissa K.

Got ribeye steak plate today from here which was delish! It came with mash potatoes with gravy and mixed veges and corn. Pretty yummy for meal from food court!

It was my first time eating here. The food was pretty good. I got the steak and scallop combo. They food is made fresh to order. The cashier takes your order and yells it over to the cook, who then grills your food. My order came with two thin pieces of steak and four pieces of scallops. The scallops are seasoned with cayenne pepper and a bit of Tabasco. It had just a minor kick to it. I asked for the steak to be cooked medium well and it was. It had a nice seasoning to it. The sides it came with were corn, mixed veggies and mashed potatoes with gravy. Was it worth the $19? It's the Ala Moana Food Court where everything is overpriced.

10/17/23 LOCATION: Located in the Makai Food Court at Ala Moana. It's nearer to the Hawaii Cookie Company side. FOOD: We were just looking for a small snack so my hubster and I halved a steak rib eye plate. The steak was lightly seasoned and looked more like a cutlet type steak. It was tasty. It came with steak sauce but I didn't need it. It's not unusual for plate lunches to be in the $17-25 dollar range so a plate plus a large drink set us back $21.99. So in the range of what you'd expect. I wanted to see if it was a mainland chain or local chain. I was thinking mainland because of the kikoman soy sauce but I was wrong. Google yummyhawaii.com and this restaurant is the newest addition to more familiar favorites: Liliha Bakery, Yummy's BBQ, Little Joe's Steakhouse to name a few!

Who knew mall food would taste this good. Located at the Ala Moana food court, we decided to stop here around 1 or 2pm for a late lunch. We both decided to order the house steak. This dish comes with mashed potato, corn and mixed veggies. We both got our steak cooked medium well. They give you 3 thin slices of the steak. They were surprising tender and tasted so good. Everything was delicious!

Good size Ribeye Steak! Tender & tasty!

Came here before but decided to leave a quick review. Ordered the Rib Eye with mashed potatoes and corn. Ordered it cooked medium but it came medium rare. Fortunately, it was still very tender and I enjoyed it. The rib eye portion is generous and very tasty. Not much fat or tough parts. I will continue to come here when I have a craving for rib eye.

My new best friend...named Ribeye ;) $14.95 gets you all of this!

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE 4.5 stars if possible? Good food, fast service, reasonable prices - half a star knocked off for not delivering the steak the way I asked, but it and the whole experience was oh so good :) === 2. FOOD Should you trust steak in a food court?? Oh yes! All of the people lining up daily for steak could not possibly be wrong! And wrong they are not - the Ribeye Steak ($14.95): 8 oz of juicy, tasty ribeye steak, served on your choice of mashed potatoes or rice, and coming with sides of kernel corn, and steamed broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. It's oh so good, with none of the guilt based on the very reasonable price. ...now if only they could cook the whole piece medium rare (half of mine was rare)... === 3. SERVICE Available in English and Japanese - it's fast for a food court / take-out place with it comes to ordering and then getting your dish. === 4. ATMOSPHERE Like all other places in the Ala Moana Center food court (Makai Market), there are plenty of tables available and parking is as plentiful as Center's parking structure can be!

First time ever to eat their steaks galore

Their menu for their dinner is absolutely easy to read and choices are very affordable. We have been to the food court many times but it as my first time trying their dinner plate. The portions are very generous I like it their chef sprinkles not too much of their garlic salt. I hope they also add variety of soups to go with sandwiches that I do not see there...a simple hot dog, French fries and drink set might work out well too!

When I arrived at the counter, I waited about 2 or 3 minutes for someone to help me. The lady that did take my order was very nice. This was my 2nd attempt to have them cook the steak how I requested it. This time the cook did a bang up job. He cooked it to my liking which is a lot to say because it is fairly thin slices that he had to prepare rare. Thr scallops are perfect, moist and tasty. This time around I am satisfied all around. The price is not bad either for $14.95.

It can be busy at times but the lines here never go to crazy; but than again it's almost always busy in the food court at Ala Moana. This is also connected with the burger place so if steak isn't in your cravings then a choice of a burger is next door. The prices are pretty good especially for the ribeye which is around 14-15 dollars. They ask how you want it cooked and you shall receive it that way. They have never over or under cooked my ribeye. The portion is pretty big as well and it'll fill you yup for sure. The plate also comes with steamed veggies like broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. Also next to the steak is mash potatoes with a pool of gravy in the middle. YUM! There is also corn on the side as well. For about the same price of the ribeye you can get steak and shrimp and the shrimp is seasoned pretty well and comes with 4 jumbo sized shrimps. The steak isn't as good as the ribeye but it's still pretty good especially for the price. They also have drinks and a soda machine with 30 plus drinks from low calorie to juices and sodas.

I get what you're thinking, "mall food?". But believe me, this place is actually pretty damn good. I usually order the steak and shrimp, but today I went with the ribeye. It has a nice smokey flavor, and it's well seasoned with salt, pepper, and perhaps some sort of steak rub. The steak itself was surprisingly pretty tender, and was cooked just perfectly. The veggies are also pretty good, though a tad salty for my palate. Overall, great food, at a steeper price than your average mall food...but again, I did have ribeye lol. Check them out!

Always wanted to try this place. It was very crowded. The price was reasonable. Rib eye, mash potato, corn and steam vegetables. I was very pleased with the quality of the steak. The only down fall was the wait time. It took about 30 minutes for my order. Other than that I enjoyed my meal.

What…read moresurprised me was that when we were eventually seated, the restaurant wasn't even half full. I'm sure there are factors behind the scenes that guests don't see, but it was a bit confusing from a customer perspective. Thankfully, our server more than made up for the rocky start. She was friendly, attentive, and offered great recommendations throughout the evening. We started with the BBQ ribs, which were very tender and flavorful, though slightly sweeter than my personal preference. For our entrees, we ordered three fish dishes, a burger, and some sushi. When we asked our server for her favorite fish, she recommended the Kampachi, so we ordered it prepared three different ways--grilled, sautéed, and steamed. About 15 minutes later, she returned to apologize and let us know they only had enough Kampachi for two orders. It was a little surprising to hear a featured protein was nearly sold out so early in the evening, especially at a restaurant in this price range. We adjusted our order and selected a different fish for my sister. Overall, the food was good and well-prepared, although a bit pricey in my opinion. The experience was somewhat of a mixed bag--from the initial wait and limited fish availability to excellent service and enjoyable food. In the end, the company, conversation, and outstanding service outweighed the negatives. We made sure to thank our server and left her a well-deserved 20% tip. As always, this review reflects my personal experience on a specific day and time. While there are plenty of other restaurants I'd still like to try, I wouldn't rule out returning in the future.

I was able to experiment with different flavors with the Old Bay seasoning, garlic mayo, lemon, and butter. The garlic mayo was surprisingly good with the lobster. You can also throw the Old Bay seasoning on the chips if you're in the mood. The price is pretty steep which was my mistake. I don't know what I was expecting when ordering lobster in Waikiki. The lady at the cash register was less than pleasant and helpful so it makes spending that money feel a little more painful. If you can afford it and are really craving a lobster roll, this should satiate you. I didn't feel like I needed more to eat after finishing my meal. Location: The store is located in the Royal Hawaiian shopping center. You have to take a staircase from the first floor to a lower floor to get to it. You may need to ask around for directions. The restaurant is super small. Maybe two or 3 small tables that can fit no more than 6-8 people.
