Well first time coming to this place and being able to look at the reviews on Yelp gave me a little bit of a heads up with what I was getting into! And I say that after following the young man in the lady had taken my order she passed along to her cooks and guy started cooking my ribeye while I was making my salad and getting my drink and paying for the mail The salad was awesome it gave me the option of cucumbers tomatoes red onions the best croutons I've ever had they were like obviously from their cheese toes is what I'm guessing it's just yell malicious It had chopped a beats really yummy blue cheese dressing and three bean salad and probably other things that I wasn't paying attention to and then I got my drink which was just a water with lemon and then I paid for the mail and it was under 20 bucks! It's a 10 oz ribeye and cooked perfectly tender didn't need any sauce! Then they have a potato bar and it's got mushrooms and grilled onions so you can add those to your steak as much as you want and they're really really good and then it also had a baked potato side that had real butter melted cheese like nacho cheese in addition to cheddar cheese and chives and sour cream I didn't see bacon but that's okay It was really good and here's a picture of my steak and my potato and the garlic bread is yummalicious. read more

It's such a darn shame because this restaurant could really be a perfect place for families and dates. The menu is awesome and the prices are good. I mean you get what you pay for the steaks are mediocre. But I could NOT get past the filth of the restaurant. All young kids working and none of them doing their job. The tables were dirty and not cleared and the floor was disgusting! It really made me have second thought about finishing my meal because if the front end looked like this than the back end was probably worse I'm sure that if they could hire a manger to oversee the staff and instruct them to clean up the place it might start thriving with customers. It's too bad because this place has history with the community, it's been there for a long time. Such a disappointment. The owner should go in and check on these things. My experience with the service here was awful! The girl helping us took our order, gave us our table topper, and left. So, we helped ourselves at the salad bar, and went to pick a table to sit at. We assumed we would get the bill at the end, and pay after we finish our food. There wasn't staff to direct us so we thought we were okay to sit down. I noticed we were waiting quite a bit for our food so I looked over to the kitchen to see if our order was ready to be ran to our table. As I was looking, I noticed another girl look back at our table and laugh. I walked back to the front and asked the girl who had helped us initially about our order and she said something along the lines of "oh, you guys have to pay first... I'll tell them to put the order in right now". I understand that this was a miscommunication issue, but it could have been solved earlier. The staff who helped us initially knew that we sat before paying (again, we weren't directed to pay so we assumed we would get the bill at the end), and proceeded to let us wait and walk by us while our food wasn't even sent to the kitchen yet. The service was bad, there was mold on the roof of the salad bar, the steak was supperrrrr tough, and we saw a small dog running around the kitchen. I would say it's way better than Sizzler and I hope it stays around a long time. They have lots of different options of meat that you can get but we ordered beef. They ask have chicken of you want that. With that it comes with two sides and one piece of garlic cheese bread that is so yummy and reminds me of my childhood. Yum! You order your food and if your getting a salad there's a bowl that you can fill but it's only for one time. It's not unlimited refills and after that you pay at the counter and they will give you this wooden item to put on your table. There is a side sauce area that has lots of different sauces such as gravy, mushrooms and even yummy tasty onions to top with your meat! This is one of those places you've been coming to for YEARS and it never changes; that is a GOOD thing! This moderately sized, unassuming place called "Steak Corral" is a bit of an enigma to those stopping by for the first time. First of all, you are met by longish hallway leading to an overhead sign (or two) showing their menu. The menu is not a big one but the selections pack a wallop. No lunch menu here, just choose something from the dinner menu and you will be fine. I'm pretty sure there is a kids menu but not 100% on that. They must, I brought my grandkids here and they ate fine! So anyway, back to the unorthodox way of ordering (for newbies)...a member of the waitstaff will meet you under these signs and ask what you'd like, just tell her and she'll write it all up for your whole party and then put in onto a quaint rustic wooden holder, place it on a tray, and off you go to part II. Part Deux is where you walk the line. The "cafeteria-type" line. Don't let this dissuade you from anticipating a GREAT steak. And also, please do not look at the TINY kitchen where they create their marvelous steak morsels. Walking down the tray line you will have the opportunity to create your own salad (pro-tip: place your dressing on the side in a smaller bowl so you can pack more salad on your salad bowl) and it is a 'one time salad bar' though if you really feel you need seconds you can get it for another buck fifty. Trust me you won't have room in your tummy. So moving down the line there are places for utensils (get them!) a drinking vessel (get it!), and other things. Get what you think you'll need or you'll be back! A drink station is there, choose your drink, there is coffee too if you'd prefer. At the end of the tray line you will pay the lady. Again, do NOT look over her left shoulder at the truly minuscule kitchen where the two chefs are working elbow to elbow (literally) to prep your delectable steaks! You looked, didn't you? Moving on, go to the moderately sized square dining room and choose a seat. You will notice a "condiment bar" (for lack of a better word) and a "sundae bar" that is pretty basic but gets the job done. If you had ordered a baked potato you can come up to the bar for the fixings. If not, go sit down and eat your darn salad! It won't take too long for them to grill your steak, so eat up so you can get to that sizzling steak when it arrives. The waitstaff will bring your meal when it is done and drop it off at your table, they always ask if they can get you ketchup (or catsup) or anything else before they leave. You can get your own drinks when you feel like it. As much as you want. So don't be lazy and ask them. They are just dropping off your steak and being nice. You could have picked up your own steak sauce at the condiment bar!! Don't forget to leave a TIP! Now you eat. Don't be surprised that you just bought a New York steak for under $15 and it tastes DELICIOUS and is cooked exactly how you ordered it. Despite rare and medium rare suddenly being very unpopular at restaurants, these chefs WILL do it correctly if you ask. The fries were good if you ordered those, they are not "steak fries" nor are they "shoestring" somewhere in between but still good. All in all, quite the unassuming little place that has remained largely unchanged through the many years it has been here. So what if the decor is from 40 years ago. I like that. It may not seem current, trendy, or hip, but they serve consistently yummy food and the staff is helpful, friendly, and professional. What more could you want?? read more

For the salad bar, I load up on lovely greens, beans, soy bacon bits, and cucumbers and dress it with French dressing. For the baked potato, I hit the potato bar and kick it up a notch with their delicious caramelized onions, bbq sauce, mushrooms, and green peppers. It's quick, tasty, and it gets the job done. So I make the order at the front counter, move on to get my salad bar and drink, pay and sit and wait.... For a 10oz rib eye steak with 2 sides and a drink comes with it, only $12.45+tax, good deal! The steak is juicy, salad bar doesn't offer a lot of choices but sufficient.
