Are we kidding. Why the hell is there hair in the bag with my food on my buffalo sauce????? I'm beyond disgusted. A hairball are we kidding.

Steak and shake I can say It's not the most perfect hamburger joint but it is one of my favorite. My 1st and 2nd experiences were not the best ,I had hair in either in my fries or in my salad but I continue to go because my hamburger is always delicious. This steak and shake is no different than all the ones I've been to. The service can be slow, their floors are usually sticky and the bathrooms are not perfectly clean.

I don't think we've ever ordered a dine-in meal where something wasn't incorrect or forgotten. The managers don't care. Servers are overworked and almost certainly underpaid. Food is as you would expect from a SnS, it's neither better nor worse at this location than any other. Small bonus point for their dine-in side salads being way above average in terms of the amount of fresh chopped veggies they cram into that little bowl!

Crap on table that they never clean. But did provide bill. No food

Arrive late night to this dirty, smelly place. Over half the tables are dirty, dishes piled up. Not that busy. Yet 10 minutes after I ordered I am sitting at bar waiting for my drink. I could say something but why should I have to ask twice for what should have been handed to me when I ordered. Counter top sticky with spilled drinks. About to walk out but too hungry to leave. She did drop off my bill though, priorities I guess. What a dump! 5 minutes later, used the restroom and left. Likely will be another 20 minutes before they realize I am gone. Without any food. Taco Bell, hear i come. Avoid this place like a bad crack habit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the best steak n shakes I've been at. The fries were really good here. I got the royal burger and enjoyed it. Would come back!

Casual, colorful, the kind of spot where you expect someone to walk in wearing flip flops and carrying a fishing pole. Comfortable vibe. Easy place to settle in and see what the fryer can do. First up were the fried green tomatoes. They came out looking like they'd just won a beauty pageant. Crispy outside, tender inside, cooked exactly right. Texture nailed. But flavor-wise they felt like they forgot their gym bag at home. Needed salt. Needed a little personality. A rare moment where the fryer did its job but the seasoning clocked out early. Then the headliner arrived. The fried chicken at Champy's Famous Fried Chicken has a reputation to protect, and thankfully it shows up ready to work. Crisp, flavorful crust. Juicy inside. The kind of chicken that crunches just enough to make everyone at the table look over and get jealous. "If the deep fryer had a Hall of Fame, Champy's chicken is getting a first-ballot vote." And then came the move that sealed the deal. A dip into Champy sauce. Suddenly the flavor level jumped another notch. Salty, tangy, just enough punch to make the crust shine even more. The sleeper hit though? The cole slaw. Creamy, balanced, and actually refreshing next to all the fried goodness. It's the quiet kid in class who ends up acing the exam. Easy to overlook, but absolutely worth ordering. Now for the tiny curveball. I happened to land there on karaoke night. And let's just say... the speakers believed they were performing at an arena concert. Loud enough that conversation required leaning halfway across the table and reading lips. On the flip side, the crowd was clearly having a blast. A few genuinely good singers, a few that were more... enthusiastic than talented, and plenty of people cheering them on. Honestly, respect to anyone with the courage to grab a microphone in a room full of strangers. So no star deductions for that. The people who showed up to sing were having the time of their lives. Bottom line, Champy's Famous Fried Chicken is a fun place with seriously good fried chicken. Order the bird, grab the slaw, lean into the fried side of the menu, and enjoy the show if karaoke happens to be on the schedule. Just maybe bring your singing voice... or your earplugs.

By this I refer to the Maillard reaction, a chemical process that occurs when amino acids (from proteins in the flour) and sugars (like glucose or fructose) in the bagel interact under heat, typically above 140°C (284°F). This causes the surface of a sliced bagel to take on a golden-brown hue, producing a delicious result that pleases customers. It does, however, require time and electrical current to accomplish. The people at this Panera don't consider the satisfaction of their clientele, and therefore simply put the bagel through a quicker process that slightly warms and dries out the bagel with no Maillard reaction, leaving the bagel's surface completely white. Here is a photo of Professor Louis Camille Maillard for whom the process of toasting is named. Your Panera has brought shame upon his legacy and caused his corpse to spin within his grave.

Popeyes was practically a staple of life when I lived in Louisiana. The lines were always long, the…read moreservice was often indifferent, but the chicken was usually worth the wait. Because of that history, I have a pretty good idea of what Popeyes should be. My wife suggested chicken for Sunday dinner, so we made a last-minute trip to the Gunbarrel Road location and ordered a 16-piece spicy family meal with three sides. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The first thing that struck me was the chicken's appearance. Rather than a balanced assortment of pieces, the box seemed to contain a pile of thighs, a couple of breasts, and several rather sad-looking drumsticks. The chicken was edible, but it certainly did not taste fresh. The dark color may have been partially due to the spicy seasoning, but it looked and tasted as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for quite a while. The sides were even more disappointing. The serving sizes have clearly shrunk over the years. The mashed potatoes, red beans and rice, and coleslaw all came in containers that seemed much smaller than I remembered. The mashed potatoes were the lone bright spot. They tasted exactly as expected and were probably the best thing we ordered. The red beans and rice, however, were one of the saddest examples I have ever encountered. The container was only about three-quarters full, and the contents were bland, watery, and completely lacking the flavor that makes this side dish a Popeyes favorite. Then there was the coleslaw. It looked as though it had been sitting so long it belonged in a museum display dedicated to coleslaw. It had that glazed-over look that immediately tells you freshness is not part of the conversation. To be fair, the employees were friendly enough--certainly friendlier than some of the Popeyes locations I visited in Louisiana. We even waited a little longer because we assumed the extra time meant fresh chicken was being prepared. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Overall, this meal was simply disappointing. The chicken tasted old, the sides ranged from underwhelming to nearly tragic, and nothing about the experience would make me want to return. Judging by how quiet the restaurant was, I suspect there may be a reason for that. We will not be back.
