Located where Connor O'Neill's used to be, they've totally remodeled the place and the atmosphere is very retro with velvet red seats, dark woods and very low lighting. Service was impeccable, and for me, this might be the best thing about this restaurant. Don't get me wrong, this is not a bad place at all, but considering the price, we've had better food in other steakhouses. The menu offers classic steakhouse fare and if you want entertainment, order the Caesar Salad made table side for two. Since it would have been too much food for us and we couldn't share just one, we didn't get to taste if, but it's supposed to be amazing. Instead we got the Lobster bisque which was delicious and perfect as a starter to share. I don't eat steak so I ordered the Halibut with Truffle Risotto, Wild Mushroom, Romesco and Fennel which was very good. My husband who is the beef eater ordered the King's Cut Ribeye, and was shocked to be disappointed with a more than $70 ribeye. The meat was perfectly cooked, but the problem was with the total lack of marbling this piece of meat is famous for. It's the first time my husband complains about a ribeye (the only cut he orders when we visit a steakhouse), so I trust his judgement. Thinking about it, I wonder if it was a mistake and he got a different cut, it was so strange (especially after talking to our daughter who had a good experience with her ribeye). Otherwise, the sides and sauce were fine, nothing exceptional. For dessert, we had the Key Lime Pie, the consistency was too soft for me, but my daughter told me she likes it that way, just a matter of preference. We learned a lot from the salad maker and would therefore excuse his earlier mistake of pouring water in a frantic manner that overfilled and spilled onto my date's pants. The ribeye and the lamb are done well (medium rare was a good choice). Tender beef with decent amount of fat. The lamb had great lamb flavors. Both had great crusts. Would have preferred it to be more juicey. The truffle butter was a plus. Enjoyed the lighting and intimate setting. IT WAS SO GOOD!! Literally the meat was so mouth wateringly amazing. Great vibes, pacing, service, drinks, music. Even the bathroom felt like a 1920's bootleg club. So classy. Dress code definitely wear something cute. Even the pepper grinder was a designer brand. Literally the best food I've ever eaten & worth every penny. (Except maybe the 9$ bottle of still water) The only thing, which i feel like is on me cause I'm weirdly particular, if you're taking leftovers they box it for you!! I wish I would have asked to do it myself because it wasn't *all* there. Context, I'm the type to eat the skins and suck marrow out of bones (not in public tho, it's impolite in the US). Always a meeting with staff going on in the back and it takes forever to get a cocktail. Service is relatively poor--the staff sends off a vibe that they really don't want to be there. Have had two different run-ins with the bartender trying to order a drink--doesn't want to deal with you unless you are a barfly seated at the bar. Really needs new management--if you are going to open at 4:30 and take reservations at that time, how about being ready to actually serve your customers. read more

Wow! This place was pretty amazing! We came here for my sister's birthday dinner and boy was this place fancy! The staff was extremely friendly right when you come in! That was a pleasant welcoming to our dinner. Then we were seated immediately without a reservation! (I recommend making reservations) The restaurant has a pretty good crowd. Now the food! Wow the best steaks I've had in a while. The sauce options were also to die for (I recommend the chimichurri) the elote as the side was so yummy. My sister has the spinach and she loved it. Eaten at many of the best steakhouses in the country (Jeff Ruby's in Cincinnati, Pine Club in Dayton, Gibson's and the original Morton's in Chicago, Cut in Beverly Hills to name just a few) and Steakhouse No 316 in Boulder (and Aspen apparently) is as good a steak as you're going to get in Denver. It's terrific, great cuts of meat, well marbled and cooked to perfection w several sauces if you like. Twice baked potatoes are wonderful, warm sourdough and terrific Caesar salad. If you want steak and you find yourself north of Denver you will be very happy here. Note: I haven't tried every steak place in Denver, so there's that... but have tried many around northwest Denver and Boulder County and none come anywhere close to Steakhouse 316. read more

I doubt I'd ever come here on my own. This place is just too good. You go in, and you're greeted to this ambient, romantic atmosphere that's ideal for fine dining and late-night. I came with my boss and coworkers for a late-night meal. Our waitress was Molly. My boss got the special Top Cut steak and oh my goodness, it was superb! I had their gnocchi side dish, and it too was delicious. Mushrooms and parmesan on top. One of my coworkers had the lobster mac n cheese. That was good. Drinks were either manhattans or cocktails. I have to say that this dinner was one of the best work team dinners I've had. If you do come, be prepared for a good meal but also a hefty check. This steakhouse caught my attention the very first weeks I moved to Boulder. From the outside it seems like a small, rustic, and almost hidden establishment with an alluring mystery and confidence. Once through the doors, the Steakhouse lives up to this mystic portrayal; and without trying to give much away ill just say that this place is absolutely stunning. Basking in some sort of past-era elegance, it's both classy and inviting. We sat down a shifted through a very satisfying selection of exorbitant wines. The steakhouse also has a full bar with some very interesting cocktails. To start off the meal, we nibbled on bread and butter, then ordered a table side Cesar salad that was spectacular. After that...well...it didn't miss two starts for nothing: The meat was pretty good. However, Steakhouse No. 316 has a rival right on Pearl St. (the upscale 'Franks chop house'), and for a lot more reasonable price, same here quality of appetizers and wines, the meat and sides over at Frank's are just better. I wouldn't personally go out here again for a steak dinner when they are clearly #2 in the arena. The sides were, to put it kindly, unappealing in taste. Their specialty (the twice-baked baked potatoes) tasted like a mouthful of minced garlic in your mouth. For the price that you're paying I would hope nothing would be amiss at your table. The coffee wasn't great, either. On a positive note, the Key Lime pie was fantastic. However, in all sincerity, a great salad, goodish meat, bad sides, and delicious pie is not enough to make this place worth your money. Can't say I wasn't a disappointed that such a beautiful interior does not house an equally beautiful meal. I have a new favorite steakhouse in Colorado! Let me introduce you to Steakhouse No. 316 in Boulder. We dined at Steakhouse No. 316 for dinner over the weekend and had an absolutely phenomenal meal. We were blown away by each thing that we ordered and the Steakhouse No. 316 staff was nothing short of dazzling! We arrived & General Manager, Ishael Ananda greeted us and showed us to our table. We were seated in the main dining room by the front bay windows. Steakhouse No. 316's aesthetic is moody, & elegant with dark hardwoods and red velvet banquettes. Ishael and our Server Riley gave us stellar recommendations for our entire meal. We could really feel their passion for the restaurant which made our dinner that much more exciting! Per Riley's guidance, I started off our meal with a Specialty Cocktail - the Devil's Advocate. The Devil's Advocate is made with Yuu Baal Mezcal Joven, Peach Nectar, Lime, Habanero, and Cinnamon Honey. Wowza this cocktail was fire (& subsequently was actually on fire at one point lol). The Yuu Baal Joven tasted of dried fruit and soft smoke with a refreshing finish. The peach nectar added a gentle sweetness to this cocktail that brought out the tempered heat of the habanero. I loved this cocktail so much I had two of them! For starters, we had the Petit Seafood Plateau and the Tableside Caesar. The Petit Seafood Plateau is made with King Crab Legs, Oysters and Jumbo Shrimp served with Hogwash, Cocktail & Mustard sauce. The Petit Seafood Plateau was perfection - Steakhouse No.316 gets their seafood flown in fresh daily so the quality of everything was top notch. The Petit was also a great size for two people. The King Crab Legs were rich and sweet in flavor with a delicately tender texture - SO freaking good. The two East Coast oysters had a brilliant salinity to them and the two West Coast oysters were smooth and sweet. The Jumbo Shrimp were hearty in size with a firm texture; they had a nice sweet taste to them with a very subtle nuttiness. The Tableside Caesar is made with Baby Romaine, Crouton, White Anchovy, and Parmesan. Guys I absolutely DIE for a Tableside Caesar; & Steakhouse No.316 is the only steakhouse in Colorado that I know of that does it. They whipped up a Caesar salad - from scratch - dressing and all right in front of us! The Caesar dressing was creamy with a luscious balance of salt and tang that transformed the lettuce into a sinfully indulgent salad. The clean cheesy flavor of the Parmesan mixed with the briny anchovies and tang from the lemon and tabasco had our taste buds rejoicing. 10/10! For our steaks from the Prime Butcher Shop, we had the Kansas City Strip and the Butcher's Cut which was an 8-oz Top Cut Rib-Eye. Ross had the Kansas City Strip cooked medium and had Pan-Seared Scallops over-the-top with Cognac Peppercorn Demi Sauce on the side. The Kansas City Strip was awesome; it was cooked perfectly and was tender with a bit of marbling throughout. It had a rich steak flavor that paired beautifully with the seared scallops. The steak and scallops easily stood on their own taste wise but when the Cognac Peppercorn Demi Sauce was used, it had a great peppery aftertaste that added some spice to the steak and scallops. I had the Butcher's Cut 8-oz Top Cut Rib-Eye cooked medium per the chef's suggestion with a 6-oz Maine Lobster Tail over-the-top with Black Truffle Butter on the side. This top-cut ribeye was premium and SO flavorful! It had all the juicy marbling of a ribeye but since it was the top-cut, it had the tenderness of a tenderloin. The lip-smacking juiciness of the top-cut ribeye paired wonderfully with the sweet flavor profile of the lobster. Now, please take a look at this Black Truffle Butter! OH MY GOODNESS. Have you ever seen anything more beautiful?! Talk about black truffle butter heaven - the black truffle butter had a mouthwatering garlic & earthy taste that intensified the succulent meaty taste of my ribeye. I couldn't get enough! For sides we had the Miso Glaze Shishito Peppers served with Haricots Verts & Egg, the Parisian Mushroom Gnocchi and the Asparagus, Béarnaise, Salmon Roe. The Parisian Mushroom Gnocchi was my favorite! The tender gnocchi pillows had absorbed flavors from the mushrooms and were topped with salty parmesan cheese to complete this outstanding side. For dessert, we were treated to Ishael's Lime Basil Limoncello. This creamy basil limoncello was superb and was unlike anything we have ever tasted! Ross and I were both blown away by the magical combination of cream, basil and the hint of lemon. The Limoncello was refreshing and left us wanting so much more. I'd been anxiously awaiting the opening of this business and am so glad I finally made it in. Upon entering I absolutely could not believe how the interior had changed. Gone was any semblance of the days when Connor O'Neills Irish Pub was contained within it's walls. The furnishings, pictures, and and vibe are luxurious, welcoming, and sexy. I honestly just wanted to move in. The walls are covered with beautiful dark wainscoting and the pictures are framed in gold. The seats in the lounge area covered in beautiful fabric (velvet! be still my heart) and many are adorned with tassels. What brought me in on this fine Sunday was the big game (Go Pats!). I was tickled to see that they were hosting a viewing and offering their happy hour menu throughout. So what did we order? Uh, pretty much everything! With libations under $10 a piece we started our viewing party in class with a 1922 Manhattan for me (oh the cherry was heavenly), a Gents G & T (for my gal pal), and the Czechvar Pilsner for the dudes. They also carried local libations, like Woody Creek vodka and whiskey. This was a big hit at our table as the second round of happy hour drinks were upgraded to add this local flair. It was smiles all around. Touchdown for Steakhouse No. 316! Now, for the food. The bread is out of this world (we actually had two rounds of it) as was the butter! They offer three different types (the truffle butter was our fave). As for Happy Hour Bites my choices were the bison sliders, cowboy flatbread, and the truffle parmesan fries. I think my favorite of these bites was the cowboy flatbread. Not only was it conducive to sharing, it was also delicious with the aged balsamic drizzle, pesto, fontina, rotisserie chicken, arugula, and caramelized onions. My gal pal (she has gluten and dairy allergies) went for fire grilled beef skewers. The staff and service were impeccable. I can't even imaging how many times my water was refilled (I'm guessing I drank about 12 glasses). Hey the glasses are smaller side. Did I mention that they have three sister restaurants in Aspen? Steakhouse 316 of Aspen being named one of the best steak houses in the country by the Food Network. Truly a beautiful place to host a get together or celebrate a special occasion. Oh my goodness I am speechless. First off, as soon as you walk in the steakhouse, you are greeted and felt at home. The servers are attentive and constantly walk around checking on you to see if you need anything. We both got the filet mignon with a side of Mac and cheese (The sides serve at least two people), and oh my goodness the filet mignon just melts in your mouth as you are eating it, the filet is seasoned perfectly, and the Mac and cheese is some of the best we had. I go to steakhouse 316 when I want an authentic steakhouse experience. There are no "bad" tables which is refreshing. The service is always very professional and efficient. The food quality, preparation and presentation is reliable. The menu is classic with many offerings for non-meat eaters as well. The bill adds up quickly, but I don't mind paying when the drinks are strong, the food is delicious and I'm fully satiated when I leave. We always have a fun time when we go here. read more

We had an incredibly disappointing experience last night. We usually love this place and I've recommended it to a lot of people, but can no longer do so. Steakhouse No. 316 is a fine dining restaurant and the prices reflect that. However yesterday both the service and food was subpar. The service being especially bad. Perhaps since we were just a party of two and we didn't order alcohol, we were less of a priority to the staff, but we still spent almost $500 on this birthday dinner and left feeling really ripped off. I get that sometimes issues happen but at this price, things really should be impeccable, and in this case there were multiple issues. First and foremost, after we got our food we were completely ignored. We no one ever checked to see how the food was or if we needed anything. I had to get up and find someone to ask for refills on our drinks. We both ordered the cowboy ribeye, but unfortunately mine was really tough. Since no one cared to check on us we just ate it as is, but at $75/steak this was not ok and should have been made right. We also started the meal with mussels and frites. This was a little messy since we were not given any plates or a dish to place the shells in. The end result was some food residue on the table. In the past, a server would have cleaned this up but no one did. I realize this isn't a huge deal but this IS a fine dining restaurant so sitting there with a dirty table for the remainder of the meal was not acceptable. Once we were done we sat there for at least 20 minutes with empty dishes, dirty table and empty drinks. Finally someone came and took our plates and we sat there for another 20 minutes with a dirty table and empty drinks until I flagged a busser over to ask for our check. Last night was beyond disappointing. The things that happened generally wouldn't matter too much in a regular restaurant, but we chose to pay very high prices for a fine dining experience and got a diner experience. We told the server at the end that the steak was tough and that no one had come by our table since we got the food and she just apologized and walked away. Something should have been done to make it right at that point. At minimum letting the manager know to apologize. This was a special occasion and a splurge and we may as well have gone to any other regular restaurant for a better experience. read more

They were not so busy, and to me that was unacceptable. We also had a 7pm reservation and had to still wait 20 minute for a table. The oysters rockerfeller was packed with flavor, my 2 pounds of crab legs were not. I cannot say it was worth it, nor would I revisit.
