We were given menus by the hostess, but there was a slight delay with water service and what not. Eventually, our waiter did come by to talk a bit more about the menu. (I should note that the table was only set for a party of two and we were a party of four. So, it wasn't until our first dish arrived did they notice that we were missing tableware and plates for the rest of our party.) We mentioned that we'll be sharing a bunch of things, so this is what we ordered: The food came quickly and we did have to make room immediately. I do wish they would have paced it a bit better though. * Beet Salad $15 - They were kind enough to split this in two plates right off the get go. I thought that maybe because the peach cobbler took a bit longer, maybe it was forgotten. He apologized profusely and offered to send us with an order of beignets. We were pretty full and had a drive back, but he insisted and said it would only take a moment or so. So we agreed and I waited for it. The order came with 10 little freshly fried doughnut holes, lemon curd, raspberry gelee, and strawberries. We headed to the car and I enjoyed a few there. They were just okay though, nothing really special. 3/5 Overall, there were some really great highs and a couple of lows. I appreciated how the manager tried to make up for the error and did ask where we were seating, so I assume he could address it with the staff. We REALLY loved certain dishes and would return again for those. I would still rate this highly because we did have a generally good experience. 4.5 stars

They had two flavors one mixed with orange juice and one that was simply sweetened (not overly sweet at all. Less sweet than any yellow canned mate you might be thinking of). I tried both choices and the orange juice one was really good but after a full glass I felt a little weighed down. I can't remember the last time I drank that much orange juice. The food comes out and this is where my review is going to get unhelpful. I have no idea what either of these are called and honestly I don't need to know. The flavors were on point for both. One was a traditional seeming empanada with a ground beef mixture on the inside. Not spicy but the flavors were robust. The outer layer of the empanada was also flavorful but fell apart a bit from the heavy sog of beef filling. The taste was still great for all of it and it came with some kind of chimichurri adjacent sauce on the side that was maybe the best thing about the empanada. The second choice was less of an empanada and more of a tart or small pie? It had cheese and corn for the filling and was extremely gooey. Like more gooey than it had any right to be. I don't need to tell you that the combination of crust, cheese, and corn was delicious. If anything it was maybe a little too simple but I could eat that any day of the week and be happy. I got a wonderful table outside under some shade and gave my baby daughter some bites of the meat filling. She loved it. Left after drinking two more cups of the standard mate and felt amazing.

To start I didn't actually get to eat food from this place. This negative review is more of a reflection of the own than the food or even the staff. I order some food for takeout for a young woman that had just had surgery, so she order through Postmates cause she was told to eat red meat. The restaurant manager and hostess was helpful and accommodating through the process of ordering the food and having card issues due to the price point. However the owner was a different case. At first I though he was just being curious but soon accused me of being a scam artist and trying to steal food. It was obvious he had been drinking all night as I could smell the alcohol on his breath. I tried to explain the service and that it is legit but he just wanted to yell and be a jerk. I told him I understood his concern and gave him a number he could call to voice his displeasure. Even offered to cancel the order if he wanted to waste $150 in food. He just wanted yell and demand to have my card or the customers card. There are other high end steak houses in Boulder I would go to other than this place. A high end steak is a high end steak wether you pay $30 or $70. The extra cost is for service and environment and I would never give my money to an owner that would speak to someone like he dId and say/accused the things he did. read more

Wow, what an incredible evening at Steakhouse No 316! We had reservations but arrived early to grab a drink at the bar. It was packed, but the hostess was fantastic and managed to seat us right away, such a pleasant surprise, though I wouldn't expect that every time. The atmosphere is classic steakhouse, dark, elegant, and inviting. Every staff member we encountered was exceptional, from the person filling our water glasses to our waiter, the manager, and the charismatic guy preparing the tableside Caesar salad (a must-try!). The Caesar was made fresh right at our table, and the server was not only skilled but also hilarious, explaining each step with flair. My husband and I split the New York strip, a special that night, and it was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes and mushrooms we chose as sides were absolutely delicious. For drinks, I tried the Devil's Advocate, a mezcal cocktail that comes with a fun little presentation--don't want to spoil it, but if you love mezcal, it's a must! We went to the bar again to order a second drink and asked them to charge it to our table. Meanwhile, we watched the waitstaff deliver endless orders to the outdoor spaces, nearby tables, and to-go patrons. I am still not certain there were restaurant managers, but we finally cornered a man who looked in charge and he turned out to be the HVAC manager; to his credit, he actually listened and tried to help. Eventually, I had to walk over to the kitchen area myself to vent my frustrations and demand a single burger sitting in the window so one of our graduates could eat before they had to leave for there ceremony. When our food finally arrived, multiple items were wrong, but we were too hungry and annoyed to care. While we greatly appreciated the HVAC manager comping our meal, we would have much preferred the lovely, calm celebratory experience we expected. It seemed our table (and maybe 2 other tables next to us ) were having a similar experience. My guess is our orders were pushed to the bottom of the queue in favor of quick turnarounds like walk-ups and to-go orders. The restaurant floor management was completely absent, and there was zero teamwork--bartenders refused to step out from behind the bar to lend a hand. Any minor gesture, like a basket of fries or proactive communication, would have helped, but the staff simply didn't care. Pedro's has been here since sometime after the pandemic was over. We have a lot of Mexican kitchens as well as Taos style food but I inky know if one other Tex Mex eatery in Boulder and one we have not had a good experience. Pedro's was actually good. Neither of us drinks Tequika but we both got something we liked. My husband loves Amber beers and he was able to get one here. I am forced into iced tea in these situations and Pedro's made a nice one for me. Our server was so friendly helpful and efficient. We had decided we'd give them a try by testing out their nachos with grilled chicken and for the two of us made an ample meal at such an early hour. At seating we were brought a good sized bowl of warm corn tortilla chips and a red salsa a step beyond many others we have had. Not bland a d nit hot and very refreshing. The nachos were good too with ample chicken and guac included. And a smooth queso too. The booth seating was pleasant and comfortable and in such good condition and I was at a good height , and did not feel dwarfed as in some other booth seatings here in Boulder. The decor was nice and exemplified the Tex Mex theme. It was also nice that the customer base was not solely CU students as many in Boulder are. Families from all walks of life in Boulder as well as students filmed the tables. Many seemed like regulars and yes, of course some were students and some probably tourists as downtown on a Saturday would predict. I'm sure we will be back again.
