We love grabbing a bite to eat at this local hot spot. The atmosphere is always fun, but be ready for some noise! Went here yesterday to celebrate my friend's birthday. It was a pretty cool spot with some good drink specials. This place is pretty spacious and openup even more right before the DJ goes on. The tables are cleared to make room for a dance floor. DJ plays oldies and new songs to hype the crowd up along with a drummer who also plays to the beat of the songs making for a great set! There is an outdoor patio area reserved for those who wish to get away from the noise and to smoke. I thought the string lights were amazing and added a great touch. The bartenders were swift to take orders even with a large crowd, I definitely appreciate their efforts to keep up. The only reason I am eating this 3 star is because I tried to set up a birthday dessert with one of the staff members and they had agreed to do it before their shift ended at midnight. Right at 1145 I was informed that said staff member would be leaving early and couldn't do it. Staff member then told me to go order it at the bar, which I went to go do but was then informed by the bartenders that they werent taking anymore orders for dessert. I'd I had known earlier, I wouldve just requested the dessert be brought out earlier. Nonetheless, this is a place i would come back to and try more food . PS the wings are amazing read more

Wow! Let me just say that this place has the best wings and burgers you could ask for. Came in to eat and was not left disappointed. Farrah was our server and she was awesome. She recommended the hot wings and they're some of the best wings I ever had. We ended the meal with a cookie skillet she suggested and I must say she knows what she is talking about. I've been eating and drinking here since the week Steam opened. The food was definitely more creative and unique the first year but I still enjoy a meal here on the outside deck. I find that the items listed as 'specials' are always your best bet for a great meal. Entrees come with unique breads and special gourmet cheesy butter, olives and roasted peppers. The specialty-seasonal drinks are delicious and there is a great happy hour here with half price mixed drinks. The drinks are always large and perfectly prepared, from the bar or at a table. The only drawback here is that the noise level is horrible inside, thus the outdoor seating in the summer is very enjoyable. Service here has always been cheerful, courteous and professional. Best to come here off-peak hours so it's a little quieter inside. read more

I turned 21 in june and I go to steam with my friends quite often. It is usually such a vibe until it wasn't.On Friday October 7th, 2022 there was a shooting outside of steam. I was having a drink with my boyfriend,aunt,uncle and sister when all of a sudden I see one of the security guards running across the bar after a man with a gun. I have never heard the screams i've heard until that night. My aunt called 911 and they arrived quickly.It was so traumatizing to say the least. I don't know the whole situation but I have never experienced something happen so bad at steam until friday the 7th. read more

Went there kind of late on a Tuesday. Because it was late I just had their award winning "Wass" burger. Overall the burger was great. The two stars for me were the bread and beef. The bread was buttery and soft. The meat was very fresh and tasty. Also the bacon was thick and of good quality. The Chipotle mayo was so-so. In my opinion it needed more Chipotle as you could hardly taste any. I think next time this is the only thing I will substitute with mustard. The place is nice and relax. I love this place! The cheesesteaks are amazing. They have a gluten free bun and a separate fryer for gluten free tots. The service staff is phenomenal - always kind and positive and hard working. We've been nearly weekly the past year and had so many wonderful meals. We take our four kids and it's very family friendly. Again, you HAVE to try the cheesesteak. Sometimes it takes a little time to get a table or some patience with dinner but it is 100% worth it. Our favorite spot with awesome servers and atmosphere. Best place in the area. read more

This restaurant is great. Atmosphere is comfortable and has a great social feel to it with great music playing (Classic Rock but they have an MP3 Juke Box I think...) Buffalo Shrimp and Scallops wrapped in bacon always a winner for an appetizer. Their fried calamari is unique from the boring simple versions. It has a nice sauce and they fry up some jalapeño slices. Soups, Burgers, Entrees, all winners... combine this with solid servers this is a consistent high quality joint that is nice to have. I have not done the night life side of things here but my wife has and had a great time. Highly Recommend! read more

Tonight was great! We arrived tonight for dinner. We were sat almost immediately. The meals here are usually consistent. My wife went with the steak salad. The steak was cooked to temperature. The salad was fresh and very good. I went with the grouper special. The grouper was also cooked well and the Thai salsa was amazing! The mashed potatoes were good as well. My daughter says it's worth the four but I actually think it's three stars. The hostess and wait staff seem to be a little rundown, grungy beards, T-shirts, gym shorts. Maybe I have an eaten in a pub in quite some time. I did enjoy the pork Mac and cheese. Crab chowder was too spicy for me and so was the fish tacos for my daughter. This happened a week ago but I'm still annoyed by the situation. Made reservations for 8:00pm, two people, told the hostess we had reservations when we got there, at 8, and then it seemed like all three people seating people had to start looking for open tables. Was then asked if we wanted a table in the back but they have to move those tables by 9:30 for a DJ. Asking us if an hour and a half to eat was enough time and "you'd be done by then right?" isn't exactly how you'd talk to a customer who put in the effort to make a reservation. So we went and found some place that wouldn't give our dinner a time limit. Thanks for wasting our time. read more

Not the best place to go... I have tried "Steam Pub" several different times, usually in the evening and the service never gets any better. The food is not bad, but the wait staff seems indifferent to making their presence known and you just have to wait. Also very loud and hard to have a conversation. And if there is any kind of entertainment (music occasionally) don't even try to get waited on, just go to the bar yourself! read more

We've been here a lot. It's our go to bar at home (outside of Philadelphia). The food is always really good. The drinks are good for the price. I myself like beer more than mixed drinks because I find it's a better deal than mixed drinks anywhere, so this is a great place for me. They always have pretty good beer. They always have the mainstream cheap beers (Coors Light, Miller Light, Blue Moon, etc.) on tap with a rotating selection of craft beers (my favorite). Although recently they've had quite a lot of Ballast Point, which I'm less fond of. It's all good, though. They're more fair with their higher abv drafts, offering 12oz pours instead of 10oz like in the city (it makes a difference). I'm pretty sure Dogfish Head Olde School, a more expensive 15%, was only 10oz, though, but the 12oz Ballast Point was 12%. The food's always excellent for the suburbs, but very good compared to bars in the city. I've had burgers, crab cakes, French Onion Soup, and probably more if I'm forgetting. So far I think these are the best burgers in the area. The French onion soup is my favorite dish from here. Its even comparable to some Philly restaurants I've been to. The crab cakes are better than area chain sports bars who specialize in crabs (if you know what I mean), but I'm not gonna go ahead and say it's the best I've ever had. The only bone to pick I have is for their $5 burger night. They make the burgers a lot smaller and don't include fries. Do they know the point of specials like this is to bring in customers and not make more money? If you're going to make smaller patties, at least include fries! read more

I had been wanting to try this place out for a while - had heard good things. Those things were positive and those things were accurate. I had the Wass burger and it was DELICIOUS. I am a big burger fan and this one was great! Great meat, great sauce, fresh veggies, just terrific. I had fries which were also very tasty and fresh tasting. The service was fine, nothing too great, but defintely not detrimental to the experience. There's a yelp 10% off your check with check in, so that was an additional plus. Only negative thing was the volume inside the joint - very loud. Just a lot of talking from a full house. I don't really think there's a way to improve upon that - it's a victim of the building's layout. Additionally, I think some people like the crowd. There's a large bar that runs through most of the length of the place and a lot of TVs around which I like too. It's really just a typical bar with food, except the food is really really good. read more

My girlfriend ordered stuffed meatballs and got regular meatballs. She was disappointed. I got a steak salad with spinach. I had no complaints with my food. My family used to go here a lot but it's been awhile so my fiancé and I decided to order delivery from here. We ordered a chicken cheese steak, mild & sriracha agave wings, and a brad Fox burger. The burger was decent. The chicken cheese steak was okay as well. Both of those meals were supposed to come with fries but we got 1 teeny tiny order of fries that we barely could share. It was sad. The wings though break my heart! They used to be so amazing but these were so bland! I don't know how wings could have such little flavor and be so rubbery. I'm super disappointed because they used to churn out such quality food. I guess I'll have to find another wing place to go to since the quality has severely dropped here. read more

So apparently they have a policy of making you settle up at the bar before being seated at a table if you made the mistakes of getting drinks to kill time during your wait. They do not transfer it to your bill at the table. We found this out the hard way while being lead to our table and having the bartender scream at us. We were not heading to the door to leave with out paying we were heading to a table to be sat further in the establishment and order food and possibly more to drink. The screaming was unnecessary and rude. I have been here lots of times and will probably be back because the food and wait staff are nice but I will NEVER order anything from the bar itself again. I would rather tip the nice waiters on the cost of the drinks than tip rude bar staff. read more

I love Steam. Living in this area there only is a handful of good bars and this is definitely one of them. I am particular fond of their happy hour. Half priced drinks and $5 appetizers! Their chef is awesome, as well. Each week he puts out a new list of specialty entrees and apps. The service is stellar, too. The waiters, to put it bluntly, know their shit. Food, drinks, whatever you want they could tell you all about it. The noise level can get a little annoying the later you stay, but honestly this place is an all around great place. read more
