I've been to Steam well over ten times in the past year or so. It's the perfect spot to go to for after work drinks if you work in the Huntingdon Valley area. Also, their outside area is really nice on a warm spring night! Service is usually always great. I've only had one weird experience where a waiter didn't believe I was twenty-one and made a fuss. That same waiter apologized to me the next time I came in. -- On Wednesdays I believe they have $5 sangria. The red is the best! I've only had one experience where my allagash white was really flat. My waiter was nice about it and got me a different beer. There are so many great options on the menu and the menu is pretty large. My favorite being the steak and spinach salad. I opt-out the feta and add goat cheese instead. All types of delicious. It's usually my go to, but when I'm feeling something else I get the turkey burger. All of my co-workers have raved over this damn burger and they were 100% right. Other good options are the fish tacos, wings, veggie quesadillas, buff chicken dip (SO good), scallops, etc. Ambience is nice, very dim. Tables are kind of close together, but not so much that you are on top of each other. Friday nights you will definitely have to wait for a table and your food takes a while, but the outcome is worth the wait! read more

It's an Ok bar. Lotta old people. A LOT. Weird for A Saturday night. Also they have a live band every Saturday night....who the hell thinks that is a good idea? And you know it's going to be a Cover Band. Blasting music so loud you can't hear a thing. Humbug. Can I just sit and enjoy my drink while watching the game please? And maybe check out the eye candy while trying to not look creepy? Also it was packed. You'll see in my reviews I prefer quiet. Assholes and elbows are not my thing. I don't see why women like that schtuff. Those women never come to the bar to meet new people they just want to tease and rub elbows. I don't get it. Btw the Long Island was HEINOUS. It's a typical local bar. I almost feel bad reviewing this place because I'm sure only local let's frequent it and it may be based on a reviewers frame of reference. Nevertheless, their playing Britney Spears oops I did it again and backstreet boys.... Nuff said? This is the type of place where people wear flannel shirts and drink PBRs The beer selection is actually quite decent. They have big screens to watch the games so that's a plus. This plays may be better in the daytime. I'll give them a thumbs up for carrying Stella cider though not a lot of places have that. $5.25 read more

I've gone here two times. Once on a Friday when there was a "dj" however it was too loud and the music was not good. The food was good - although we ordered Homey BBQ wings and they were EXTREMELY SPICY. Not what honey BBQ should taste like. There cocktails/margaritas were decent but not worth the price. The service was extremely slow and our waiter was, for better lack of a word, an idiot. I have never had a worse server than I did here . We definitely got stuck with the worst server. He was slow and inattentive and we always asked other waiters and they helped us faster than our waiter did. My boyfriend and I were craving a burger really late at night one weekend and decided to get take out from here. The burger was actually pretty good, but I was stuck on their fries! The best thing about Steam is the outdoor patio. It is big and the restrooms are right inside the door. Oh, and they were cool with our dog! The chop salad with falafel was awesome. I would love to eat that everyday. The crab quesadilla was pretty bad. It was the product of someone who has no idea what a quesadilla is or the characteristics of what a good one looks like, tastes like or feels like. This version was hard, dry and tasteless. The canned crab was no help. We each ate 1 of the 4 pieces and ditched the rest. Our last dish was the buffalo scallop and shrimp wrapped in prosciutto. The idea is great. The scallops and shrimp were good. Shrimp a little overcooked, but otherwise it was good. The prosciutto was a little dry and hard. The first few bites were great, but the buffalo sauce got a little old. The beer was good and the outdoor seating was spot on. Just don't get the quesadilla. read more

I'm a foodie and I don't eat fastfood. I found this restaurant on Yelp under "gastropubs". This was one of the best food experiences I have had in a while. I came in for a burger but got the pork belly tacos and garlic parm tater tots. Best meal ever! I also ordered the Elderberry Sour ale. Delicious!! The staff was very professional as well. Devon was a lovely server and great person to talk to! I went with my boyfriend and we started with the Bang Bang Shrimp accompanied by the Red Sangria and the Spiked Apple Cider. We loved the shrimps spicy taste and the crunch yet creamy texture. We both had burgers and they were excellent in taste but slightly over done, so ask for the burger a little more rare than you usually would lol! This is such a cool place, my husband and I have dined here often since the place opened at all times of the day, so brunch, lunch and dinner, takeout as well (covid). The meals are always creative and delicious, the service is stellar and the cocktails are extraordinary. It's what you want when you dine - really outstanding service, fresh ingredients, high quality and delicious. We are old farts, so don't do the nighttime entertainment, but I hear it's great. read more

My husband and I used to love this place and still did right up to yesterday. We came here to have an early Valentines Day dinner. We were impressed with their seafood and steak dinner selections and based on our experience from eating there before, we thought it would not disappoint. When we got there we were the only ones there and excited about it. We ordered the lobster tail with scallops. The steak with shrimp and the bang bang shrimp. Food tasted great. It wasn't until about 15 min after we ate that we started to experience severe stomach pains and after that experienced the worst food poisoning we ever had. My husband and I were both down ( and still are) from the horrible pains and vomiting that we went thru. We will not be going back. read more
