Nice little place, with real nice owners. Enjoyed the location and quaint inside. Had a soup and sandwich, soup was delicious. The tuna sandwich was average, missing red onion and nothing special. Thought prices were very high, $11.50 for soup and sandwich is expensive, we could have had a cheaper meal for lunch at a sit down restaurant. For 2 meals it was almost 30.00, and that is crazy. I am not sure I will be back because of this. However, if they were priced more reasonable I would go back, as a very cute place. read more

Ouch... Ok, so tried this today and I want to say that I love the atmosphere to a point. Great kitchy niche vibe, very homey and welcoming. Love the mismatched chairs and wierd stuff. Place was clean and easy to look at. However, Do yourselves a favor and get rid of any chair that you feel you need to drape a towel or blanket over to make it appear presentable. You've got a cool place, don't make me question what's under the blanket before I sit down... That's the good part. Now the bad... As we were walking up to the entranceway we were greeted by the owner, (I knew him from a recent article in the local paper) smoking a cigarette right outside the entrance that forced us to walk through his smoke as we entered. I seriously hate that... just move around the side of your building please! We were apparently "The first customers of the day"... it was 10:30am. Ok, that's cool. Everyone has slow days. I asked for an espresso drink. They don't do espresso. Ok, no biggie. I asked for an iced French vanilla. "Sorry no iced FV, it's too hot, we just brewed it".. ok, again, no problem... thanks for the heads up actually, I detest dumping hot coffee over my ice and diluting my drink! Do you have a regular iced coffee that you can put a flavor shot into? "Nope"... ok... fair enough. The young lady who I assume was an owner of some sort said something to me that I wasn't able to figure out and began making me a Vanilla iced coffee with the hot coffee being poured over the ice essentially making me watered down coffee...( I asked for extra ice) she said no problem and that she'd put more ice in the already diluted mixture... ughhh. Ok, just stop! Please can I just have a regular iced coffee with whatever brown liquid you have available that will be cold when you hand it to me?! Prices were fine. But coffee was weak and staff (2) was very disorganized. I would recommend another coffee purveyor as well. New England coffee is everywhere as is green mountain or any of those gas station coffee suppliers. Get a small single head espresso unit as well and a good bur grinder. Just so you can offer an iced latte or a something... just sayin. Menu looked tight, but I don't know how it rates. $1.50 for a brownie is great, until i realized it was a 2" square... its ok, charge me $5 and give me a sizable brownie! I'll probably give them another shot at some point after they work the kinks out. Sorry guys, this one was a black mark. Please take this as constructive criticism. Had breakfast here this morning and everything was so delicious! I had a veggie omelet with bacon. The coffee here is fresh and their French Vanilla muffin is amazing....soft and moist like a pound cake! Owners are always friendly. And the decor is clean and comfortable. In a historic building, tastefully decorated, this is a clean and comfortable place. The staff (owners?) were super friendly, albeit a tad forgetful with a couple parts of our order, but it was early in the morning and I could tell they were trying their best to accommodate us with everything we wanted, even a band-aid for my son's toe that had developed a blister. We just had a simple breakfast to go, but everything was fresh and tasty. I would definitely go back next time I'm in the neighborhood. read more

Steampunk Station has it ALL going on, breakfast all day and superb lunch items, too. Delicious hearty sandwiches and soothing and oh so comforting soups. Steampunk is run by Kelly and Angela, two of the nicest people I have the pleasure of knowing and I enjoy patronizing their gem of an eating establishment, for sure. Kelly is busy delivering you mouth watering entrées, as well. There are so many for me to list but MUST be tried, for sure. Kelly uses ONLY the finest and freshest ingredients and it is evident when you taste these delectable dishes. Food and service is impeccable, the atmosphere is funky and cool, a superb hang out anytime of the day. I HIGHLY recommend a stop at Steampunk Station, not only for their fine cuisine but for some good conversation in a relaxed setting, plus watching the train go by behind the station is fun for all ages. read more

The bubble tea is absolutely insane. Showed up a bit late(on the closed side) but the two owners let me and my buddy stay and grab a quick bite to eat. When the food arrived, I was actually erect. Taking a sip of that sweet bubble tea gave me endorphins that ran through my body more than I've ever experienced in some time. The food was fantastic, it was equally delicious as the drink that had came out first. I love the name too "Steampunk" made me think of that time on platform 9 3/4 in King's Crossing train station in London, UK. The atmosphere is neat, funky decor, neat that it's an old train station. Went for lunch, prices are OK so was the food, nothing great, nothing bad, pretty much a sandwich I could make at home. I got the pastrami sandwich, wich was just a plain old sub roll, with some pastrami, cheese, and a bit of mustard heated up in a microwave (it wasn't toasted). No chips, pickle, or side came with the sandwich. Wish them luck but honestly nothing to inspire me to go back. maybe I will try the breakfast. read more

Great atmosphere, friendly staff..loved the menu. Will return. A little pricey but worth the quality. If the prices were a tad lower he would pack the customers in. I bought their homemade hummus for 5 dollars, small container but it was like no other I have tasted. The coffee was very fresh, not bitter and loved the egg sandwich. It was a 2 egg omellete with a touch of green and red peeper on toasted Italian from Tripolis. I will return to try some of their sandwiches, he gets all his cold cuts from the North End in Boston and cannot wait to try his homemade meatballs. I love trains and coming here I get subs, salad or fruit salad, coffee, milkshakes, tea and there's always something new off menu so make sure to always check with the employees, today I tried the homemade meatball SUB with provolone on a Tripoli roll so good that's not on the menu. The accommodations are comfortable with lots of trinkets to look at, working fireplace and flat screen tv, most important the restroom is always clean.
