You would be better off staying at home and following a Pinterest recipe than going to this place. -This "fancy" restaurant has great service with food that is eh for the price. -Our water glasses were never empty - the bread is crunchy on the outside and doughy on the inside. It feels like it is being baked at the wrong temperature or the dough is being frozen and not given enough time to thaw before baking. - the salad was okay, nothing to write home about, but the croutons are wrong... the break and crumb and must be picked up with fingers rather than a fork. - the pizza feels and tastes like it comes out of a box from a grocery store. If you're going to get the pizza just go to Lucky Slice next door. -the potatoes were chunky and watery at the same time. They weren't creamy like they should be. -the oven roasted chicken was okay, but it should have been pan seared at the end -too much cheese, cheese is a garnish and should not cover the entire dish in a thick layer to hide all the flavor. -After eating here, you will need mouth wash and/or gum to get the flavor out of your mouth. read more

After seeing an article about Chef/owner Geraldine, I wanted to check it out. The restaurant is beautiful and very classy. We did not get any appetizers. My son ordered the house risotto which was a Paella-type dish, his wife ordered the chicken piccata with Parmesan potatoes, and I ordered the crab and shrimp ravioli. All of us chose the salad as the side dish. I had the house dressing and it was wonderful! So much flavor! The one word I would use to describe the food is rich. My daughter loved her dish, but only could eat a 1/3 of it due to it being so rich. The flavors were very good. The vodka sauce that was used with my ravioli was very flavorful. My son really liked his risotto. He said the smoked sausage was a his favorite part in the paella. I'm sure we will be back again to try other things on the menu. read more

Fortunately they gave us enough bread sticks I was able to dip them in the "bisque" and get full off that since the risotto was not good. I would not eat here again. This is such a cute place. There's like two sections, a dimly lit romantic side and a bright side. A little fancy. Service is amazing I can say that for sure. Our server recommended an off the menu red wine and it was sooo delicious. I'm just sad I forgot to get the name. I'm telling you, it was not dry. It could've had a little more thick flavor but overall I loved it. Had like 3 or 4 glasses I believe. I tried the fried calamari, it was bland and I don't know. Didn't seem fresh to me; was very tough and dry. Had the Frutti Di Mare made with white wine instead of the tomato sauce offered. Bland. It had clams, mussels, calamari, shrimp and apparently scallops. Clams were so delicious, they tasted fresh. The scallops? The best thing on that plate. The mussels had to have been frozen for sure. The shrimp was juicy and well cooked though. You get a soup or salad on the side and I chose the salad, the lettuce or greens they used could've been in smaller pieces. & Our server took mine when I wasn't done cos it was off to the side because I started my entree lol. We really love going to Stella's for a wonderful meal. The food quality and preparation are always top notch, and the service is amazing. I had the most delightful shrimp and lobster risotto. My wife's rustica farfalle was similarly fantastic with chicken and crisp pancetta. They have a house specialty tiramisu for dessert, which while freshly made, was just a bit too wet with coffee for my taste. Overall, a wonderful experience and a favorite of ours in Ogden read more

Full story posted on their facebook page. 6 of us had excellent and perfectly executed meals, 2 were ok and 2 were completely uneatable. The 2 that we ok were both the same meal, the Chicken parm with an upcharge for alfredo instead of marinara. The dishes came out put together and cooked well but there was almost no sauce on the dish. One of the 6 great meals was chicken parm with marina and it was swimming with sauce. Cheese on top of the chicken, drenched in sauce and then noodles swimming in sauce on top of that. The two with alfredo sauce did not have the cheese on top of the chicken and with zero exaggeration looked like breaded chicken with butter parmesan noodles resting on top. They both asked if they were going to get their alfredo sauce with the dish and the server just said. "there is sauce in it" They replied with oh I don't see any and the server again said, yes its mixed in with the noodles. Oh well, can I have it like that one over there where you pour sauce on the chicken and so I can taste the sauce on the noodles, so it isn't so dry? He repeated, they mix the sauce with the noodles. So they asked, well it is very dry without enough sauce on it so can we just get some extra sauce then? The server said yes no problem and left the table. To be continued. The 2 uneatable dishes were both steaks. One was order med and the other med rare. They both came out dry as a bone and beyond well done. My dad's steak who sat next to me, you could hear the knife cutting it when he tried to eat it. They both asked the server if something went wrong and if they got the wrong order as the steaks were way over cooked. They said they would have new ones cooked. My dad never got a new steak so after 20 minutes he attempted to eat a like a child had to spit it out on the plate as he couldn't even swallow it. My mom did get a 2nd steak and when they put in on the table and she cut into it, even the server said oh my heck because it was so rare it was still purple and cold even on the edge that she cut off. The sever took it and said I will have it fixed. They eventually brought it back out cooked correctly but now an hour after we all first got our meals. My dad never got a new steak even though his plate sat there untouched. The manager came out 15 minutes after we got our meals and new steaks and sauce was requested. Instead of saying sorry and fixing the problems, she began to argue with my sister about how there is sauce on her dish even though she agreed it was not like their normal dish. She stated that the noodles must have soaked it all in. After 5 minutes of debate, she finally agreed to get them more sauce. It took another 15 minutes before they got their sauce. After my mom had received her second steak and while we still waiting for the extra sauce the manager came out a stalked around us watching us eat. We asked her if we could help her and she said, I am just making sure the food is good. We responded with, well you are aware it isn't, we still don't have the sauce we asked for almost 30 minutes ago and my dad still have not gotten a new steak and my moms second steak came straight off the cow. We showed it to her, and she didn't even respond. At this point as you can imagine frustrations were high and my sister at the end of the table started a conversation with the manager to discuss what was going on and her unacceptable behavior as a manger. Our requests we not crazy and fully justifiable to have meals corrected that were not just a little off but terribly done. When she first talked about the steaks being overdone, the manger replied word for word. "Ma'am I tried her steak when she sent it back and I thought it was just fine" Well at that point I lost it and interrupted the conversation and asked... You tried it? And she said yes, and it was fine. So, I asked, was it medium rare? And she said no it was well done. Then I yelled... then it doesn't matter if you thought it was fine. She ignored me and went back to speaking with my sister. After they were done speaking, which took 10 minutes of back and forth for her even to consider that all of this was a problem. She said I will see what I can do. Another 20 minutes went by as we all sat there waiting for her to come up with a solution and bring us our check. We had to stand up and go ask for the manager again so we could get going. She finally came out, she comped 3 dishes, the two Chicken parm that wasn't even eaten because it was cold before they got any sauce and my mom's steaks. They did nothing for my dad's uneatable steak and took no considerations for the time we were there and the hell it was to deal with. We got there at 5:30 and did not leave the place until 8:15. I have never in my life seen or heard of anything so insane and I can never go back. read more

She could not eat it as it was too salty. I had a pepperoni pizza. Taste was good but crust was undercooked and so flaccid that the cheese and pepperoni just slid off and congealed in the center of the plate (see pic of take home box the next day). The food is fantastic. Delicious flavors and textures. Staff was great as well and prompt. Even with covid regulations it felt like a nice dinner out which hasn't happened in a long time. Back to the food they have pastas and risottos as well as other mains. I will definitely be back. We tried one of the risottos and it had a slight earthy cinnamon flavor and it worked so well! We had made a reservation for eight and rather than simply telling us our table wasn't ready, the maître d', obviously lied about not being able to seat us because one person from our party had not arrived. When he finally took us to the freshly set up table, I asked him if he would have seated us if one of our eight party members canceled. We were very patient as we knew it was a Friday night and they were probably busy. Around 25 minutes later not a single person came over to give us water or say "I'll be with you in a moment". A table of 12 sat down next to us 10 minutes after we had arrived and with seconds they got a server taking orders and water put on their table. We had a wonderful experience back then. Last night, again... great experience (I will explain the 4 out of 5 stars in a bit). So... the location on 25th street is incredible! The decor and ambience - on point! Such a great venue. The staff, wow! So engaged and on the ball. (We has a table for 14 and they did an amazing job taking care of us.) The menu? Great selection and the specials were enticing and also included one that was vegetarian. Not sure if this was on purpose, but for patrons like me, it was appreciated!!! The meals were plated and presented in such an appealing way. I had the butternut squash ravioli plate. I really loved the texture and freshness of the pasta. Here is my only criticism. Somebody in the kitchen went a bit heavy on the salt. Actually, really heavy on the salt. It didn't ruin my dinner... but let's just say my water intake significantly increased. I would have normally sent this back, but again, it was a large business dinner and I didn't want to be "that guy". Sands the salt... Stellas would have earned a 5 star. (Maybe on a future visit, we can change this review to 5 stars). Stellas on 25th is well worth a visit. They are a wonderful addition to an awesome street, filled with shops and restaurants that are second to few. If you enjoy good Italian fare and like to be treated well... Stellas has you covered. This is a cute new restaurant with a more upscale vibe especially for 25th street. It was very busy the night we went but we were seated relatively quickly. We ordered and had finished the bread and our salads loong before the main dishes (pizza and pasta) came out. They took forever!! There were empty tables and still a hoard of guests waiting by the door to be seated-they seem short staffed. We had the quatro pizza and chicken Alfredo which were okay but nothing stellar. I've had much better at other restaurants. Oddly enough the Alfredo dish was made with bowtie pasta noodles instead of the traditional noodles. It was fun to try a new restaurant but I'd say they need a good couple more months to figure out the kinks and get much faster at serving guests their food in a prompt fashion! read more

We heard about this restaurant through the Wasatch Savings Guide. I was delighted to try a new Italian restaurant and was really excited about the opportunity since I had a coupon. We sat down, eager and hungry only to then find out, they don't accept the coupon anymore. It's not expired, it's for their location, no fine print, nothing.... They just chose not to honor it. We asked the server if we could talk to a manager. She came back and stated there was nothing they could do. So we left and went to a place we would then be able to afford.
