This is an upscale modern restaurant. The decor is bright and the restaurant gets a lot of natural light, which is nice. The food is more fusion than traditional Italian food, and it was obvious their pasta was handmade. They did not have alfredo or any kind of kids menu, so unless your kids eat fancy pizza, I wouldn't bring them here. The food was good, but I felt it was overpriced. read more

I was impressed by every bite I had here. I had the soup of the day (mushroom), arancini, and the risotto of the day (mushroom sage). All phenomenal. My husband got the filet and gnocchi which was also amazing. Awesome wine selection, cool atmosphere, and great service. Highly recommend! read more

Service was over the top. Atmosphere and layout was very nice. Try the special drinks. They are all unique and very enjoyable. If you order the Caesar salad ask for light on the dressing. Mine was way too heavy and I didn't/couldn't finish it. My friend ordered the scallops and said they where very good. Very generous portion. The restaurant was very nice, the staff was friendly and the food was good. However, I would not return based on their current Covid practices. The restaurant was PACKED with people. Every seat was taken at the bar (like a foot of space between people, if that!) and the bartender was seen more often than not with his face covering below his chin. The gentleman who appeared to be the owner also walked around quite often with his covering below his chin. Many patrons walked to the restroom without their masks. It seemed to be a restaurant where many people knew one another and didn't feel the need to comply with mask usage and main social distancing. I went to Stellini with my wife because we had heard it was good. Honestly it was amazing. We had the best cocktails from a really tall bartender named Blake I think. The food and service was amazing. My only regret is that we were there during some lady (Kim) I thinks birthday. The group was loud and obnoxious but the staff made our experience worth it. The ambience is the most this place has going for it. 2 of us in our group weren't impressed with the pasta dishes we ordered. My spaghetti came out in "clumps", you know what happens when you cook too much pasta in a pot and it sticks together. Our dish was also overbearingly spicy, taking away from the taste of what had lots of potential. I should disclaim that it was our first time and the other 2 people liked their dishes, and the house salad was very good. So give it a try, but I know of many better Italian places in the area. read more

The food is amazing and the staff is awesome! And their happy hour is great too! The red wine on happy hour is only 5 dollars and it tastes way better than some expensive wines from other restaurants and menus. Had a wonderful dinner with friends and family at this new, yummy establishment! Made reservations for 6:30pm and the place was already hoppin' - the atmosphere was inviting and lively, but not too loud, as many places can be these days. Our waiter Steve was attentive, but not intrusive and provided us with recommendations on both the menu and wine list that were winners! Almost all of my table opted for the Snapper special that evening, which was delicious! Only wish a few of us would have tried other items on the menu to share and sample other, I am sure equally delicious, options. Guess this means we need to go back soon - and definitely plan to!! This place does it right. Scratch kitchen that grinds the meat for the meatballs, hand makes all the pastas, bakes their own bread in house and makes all their own deserts! The food was outstanding, the prices were great, the service top notch and the atmosphere fun and friendly. The lobster bisque is the best we've ever tasted. The polenta is good enough to be a meal on its own. The bread and spread couldn't have been better. I mean, come on! It's homemade bread and butter! Stellini was a treasured, neighborly place to me, as were the staff since they opened and even more so this year. That has now changed, abruptly and under circumstances that are quite unfortunate. I have been living in Grapevine for five years now and know many locals that I run into quite often. That and the restaurants near downtown have made me feel welcome and part of a community. Mgmt and staff were kind enough to be welcoming of my infant daughter and me periodically (who's now 14 months old) as we live in the building. That glass of wine or two I could enjoy, even with my child on occasion meant more than they could know, and took the edge off a really dark time and year. On Friday, November 12, I went to happy hour with a neighbor at Amli who is also a regular. We went just us during the two hour window my daughter's father had visitation that night from 5-7 pm. I had one glass of wine during that period. My friend had half a drink left when I had to get my daughter, so I told her to drink in peace and that we could just get a table and all grab something to eat. I returned shortly after 7 and Michael, in a huff, sat us at a tall table, which may have been the last available. We said we were happy to share the other half with patrons that wouldn't mind. Not long after being sat, two gentlemen and a woman were sat with us. It didn't take long to recognize they were ObGyns who deliver at Baylor Grapevine, where I had my daughter. We got friendly and chatty and it didn't take long for Dr ____ to ask to hold Calla.  She was fussy at first, so I took her back. As I was sitting next to Dr ____, he wanted to hold her as well, so then it became a "who does she like better?" competition. I am happy to let people hold her who want to and that I trust, particularly since we discussed my switching doctors to one of them and complained about my experience at Baylor Grapevine with my doctor. They even paid for my drink. I sipped on that second drink with the table and went to order one more, as we were about to order dinner. Two drinks is my usual and every now and then I will splurge for a third if I have more time, particularly over the course of a few hours, as was this evening.  After a long while, the drink didn't come. When we asked about it, Michael wanted to talk. Apparently he was raising issue with the staff behind the scenes that I had ordered a drink and was there with my daughter "passing her around like a football."  That was far from reality and our table neighbors were having a lovely time. They even stepped aside to tell Michael this. We didn't understand the issue but acknowledged his refusal to let the staff care for us. Needless to say, we lost interest in ordering dinner. My friend, however, did order another drink for herself. When Michael saw she'd offered me a sip, he came and removed it, nearly from her hand, and would not continue service to either of us. That evening, I spoke with Michael at his insistence. I was blindsided by his approach and mindset. He was rude and unprofessional, to say the least, and would not let me finish a sentence. He also would not give any reason not to serve me other than "it wasn't appropriate" and he can choose to deny service to anyone he wants. Meanwhile, a father frequently left his table with his family and approached the bar (to watch the TVs, it appeared) throughout our experience, with his 6-8 month old in his arms, without issue. Furthermore, we were denied participation in my apartment's event last week from 530-730 pm. Apparently Michael intended that we don't come back for service at all--not just that evening. Mgmt was unwilling to discuss productively. I'm not interested in changing minds because I don't appreciate being treated that way in the first place and I have a higher value of myself, my daughter, our time, our money and who we surround ourselves by. Here's the thing:  I don't believe this situation would be handled the same way if I were a single father out for a couple drinks at a family restaurant with a friend. Or had I been sitting with a husband and our daughter. Or with a big family or group. This not only feels very personal and unprofessional, it's differential and it's hard to see it's not because I'm a female in this situation.  A man would never have been treated, addressed or regarded that way under those circumstances.  Frankly, I've never been treated that way by any place in my entire life, much less in my community. Being a single mother with no family close by, getting out of the house matters and gives me a sense of family and connection. I'm also a highly educated, nearly 40 year old woman who carries myself respectfully. I have not been inebriated or inappropriate here--with or without my child. This experience was not only unnecessary, inappropriate, unprofessional and frankly, chauvinistic, it has been hurtful to a relationship that once felt like family. Truly shameful. read more

Found this restaurant on Yelp and made an early 5:30 pm reservation. Parking structure is around the side and in the back - not easy to find. Looked like a pretty new restaurant - you can always tell by the restrooms! Very clean and new. We were led to a table near a musician who played jazzy pop music - very enjoyable. We ate a delicious pizza with sausage and goat cheese, also pappardelle with wild boar ragu. I was worried that the boar would be gamey but it wasn't! Very flavorful and tender. Unfortunately, we were in a rush and didn't order dessert'. Waiter was helpful and friendly. But, must dock a star because the bar was a breeding ground for Covid! It was crazy packed, mostly men watching sports on the TVs. No social distancing, just shoulder-to-shoulder people., no masks. read more

There is good pizza all around the area, and this place shocked me. Great for dates or just hanging out. My next trip will be for Saturday or Sunday brunch because the menu looks great! We should have stopped at the cheese board. I had high hopes for this place. Somebody obviously sunk a lot of cash into the building /location and a good idea. Our waitress was good but she seemed to be the only one working there. The others were on their phones and playing grab ass outside the kitchen. We found ourselves completely distracted with the non working staff, the constant ringing of text messages from the workers phones and searching for who the hell might be running this place. The cheese board was good. However, I asked the waitress what the cheeses were and she said she didn't know, it's just what the chef throws on there that day. I got the Risotto DiGiorno. It was nothing as described. It came out as over cooked risotto with slices of raw carrots and a brown type of gravy. It was topped with a 6 oz "filet" which was more of a broiled Chuck steak overcooked with a drizzle of bbq sauce. I don't recommend. My husband had Ciopinni which came to the table and smelt like a living aquarium. The fish was all over cooked. We paid the overpriced ticket and left. Oh wait, but while we were waiting on our check a guy walking his dog popped in to catch the score of Monday Night football. Yes, he brought his dog in too. When there are so many other great options in Grapevine, I would recommend skipping this one. As for my dish, grab a Dinty Moore next time at the grocery. It would be better. read more

Not for families with children, apparently. We wanted to love this place- we came for the happy hour around 4:30. It wasn't even busy but the second we walked in, the manager/owner rushed over to the hostess to tell her to seat us in the back which was a separate closed off room with nobody else in it, no music even playing. It was so obvious and so rude! We came for the happy hour which you can only get at the bar which we weren't welcome to. It's not even a fancy place to care about the atmosphere with children! Epic Service failure, hard to tell who is in control, the staff doing shots at the bar or suppose manager, who thinks it's alright for the possibly drunk staff to confront patron. This restaurant is extremely overpriced ($135) for the very poor food that is served , zero flavor and not even close to real Italian food flavor. The lobster bisque was salty and not even a flavorful bowl of soup. The three pasta plates were terrible , and one a special of the day , again no Italian spice or flavor. If I could give it less than one star I would , due to the poor host, which seemed to be a manager or owner and that coupled with the poor food flavor. This was a birthday dinner with the family and turned out to be a real downer. When asked about dessert we obviously turned it down and went out for a total of $7 ice cream for (3) at Braums which was terrific/ very flavorful ice cream in comparison to a poor dessert we're sure we probably would have received for about $double , triple the price. The ONLY one bright spot was the server was Mitch that provided good , polite service. read more
