On Saturday November 24, 2023 a serviceman from Stephens Plumbing came at my request because my heater was not working properly. The serviceman (Steve) inspected the heater and said I needed a new thermostat, and an unclogging of air vents, which would require going under the house. He also agreed to work on our outside heater which would require an extra part. The serviceman said he would return the following Monday to complete the work. He did not. When I called the company they said Steve had an "emergency" and he would be back on Tuesday. Steve did not arrive. When I talked to the company they said there was an emergency and Steve would be there Wednesday afternoon. At 4 in the afternoon on Wednesday I called the company and was told Steve would arrive at 4:30. I asked if he would be able to complete the jobs on the invoice because it was getting late. Jeanette (I think that was her name) told me that Steve would not leave my house until the job was completed. Steve arrived at 5 that evening (Wednesday November 29). He said he was unable to finish the job because it was getting late and he did not have what he needed to finish. I thanked him for his time and he left. When I called the next day, the secretary told me I did not let Steve the work. She said he was only going to do "maintenance" anyway. I asked if she had seen the invoice from Saturday and it appeared that she had not seen it. I asked her for a refund because it appeared that Steve had no intention of completing the job he agreed to do. In light of the fact that I wasted three days waiting for a job to get completed and the company had no intention of doing the job, I would like a refund. It looks as though the 125 dollar fee I was charged for an inspection was a waste of money. It was supposed to go towards the work completed but it appears that the company had not intention of completed the job. When I asked for a refund, I was told that the manager had to approve it but he was on vacation. read more

I had Stephens replace a relatively new AC/heating system back in June of 21. long story short the other AC company I worked with under designed the previous system. they closed up shop and left town. so after talking to a few hvac companies I went with Stephens. and am I glad I did. top to bottom my experience with them has been first rate. from estimate to installation to support Stephens has been wonderful to work with. cost was very reasonable. everyone I've dealt with was professional. they came out a couple extra times to dial in the dampers and check on the condenser. always on time. and I know if something went wrong they'd be there to fix. We used Yelp and called Stephens. The tech went to our rental in Orange and gave an estimate of well over $1,000 to do a quick fix, but highly recommended replacement of the heater at a cost of well over $3,000. He said he'd give my husband a call. He didn't so, we called another local, family owned business. They went out the same day, fixed the problem and it was $200. He cleaned it up and everything is working great. Needless to say, we're giving the other company 5 stars. They were wonderful. We feel like Stephens was gouging us and we're old. read more

He was very apologetic and offered to refund my money ( they charge $125 just to show up) because no real work was done. I had a leak, and found Stephen's plumbing through yelp. I really needed someone today as all of the water had to be shut off and I had 3 people in the house who need water. The person whom I spoke to on the phone was very cordial and helpful. I believe it was Ryan. They were able to come out today. I called many other companies who were booked solid. So, I'm writing this review in advance, but I must say that my experience with Stephen's Plumbing so far has been as good as it could get for me under this circumstance. Will follow up after the job, to share our experience. The dispatcher promised to call back shortly, which he did, and was able to schedule me in the same day between 3:30 and 4:30. They sent out their technician named, Louie. Louie was great! Nice young man. He was very helpful and fixed our problem. After he welded pipes together he took time to go over everything and make sure the job was done right and no more leaking would occur and checked all around. He asked me if I knew about their pricing? I said "no", I hadn't asked. He proceeded to tell me, and it was very reasonable! I am extremely happy with the job they did in every way and will definitely use them again if I need someone! I am grateful to have 3 people not miserable left without water for a day or too! After having a very unsavory experience with another company, Stephens Plumbing came in and didn't try to upsell me on unnecessary and costly replacements. Omar was punctual, professional, and very down to earth. He explained what the issue was with a small part and was able to fix my AC compressor with the inventory he had on hand in less time than the horse and pony show took with the other company. He also noticed that a washer that connected the high voltage wires to the compressor was cracked, so he offered to fix that as well to avoid any potential danger in the future. When the plumber Victor showed up I explained the issue to him with my garbage disposal having a leak and not working/making a sound like the motor was jammed. I had already purchased a replacement garbage disposal and believed he would be coming to install the replacement... Victor took the time to first inspect everything and determined that he could fix the issue which ultimately saves me money in the long run (now I can go return the replacement disposal). They tried to charge me an emergency tech fee (125) On a regular working day during normal business hours for the tech to quote me an astronomical fee to just uninstall the water filter and say he couldn't do anything about the leak until the following week. So in a nut shell, a fee to say he couldn't do anything about it. I cut my losses and had another company come uninstall it for a third of the price. Run away while you can. read more

Jose, Manny, and Cory were amazing!! I had 4 other plumbers from different companies come out over a period of a few months. Each time they were able to unclog our bathroom drains, but it only stayed clear for a few weeks. The last plumber I used had to come out twice within about 2 weeks, and the drain was still backing up. It wasn't until I called Stephens Plumbing, when Jose, using a camera discovered the problem. I can't believe how hard these guys work! It was a huge job and they were very professional and pleasant the entire time, barely even stopping for lunch! For a while out hot showers have been interrupted by cold water---not always, but often enough. On Stephens trucks it says something about tankless water heater service so I called. We are so grateful to Williams, an expert plumber and a nice guy. He arrived promptly, assessed the situation thoroughly, and explained what needed to be done. The next day he came as scheduled and completed the necessary work. Williams is very honest; he never tried to sell me anything and was careful not to promise what he could not guarantee---(our unit is 11 years old and we have never had it serviced till now)! Had a appointment for a quote and they gave me a 4 hour window for someone to come out. No one called so at 3:00 I called to confirm and was told they were running late and was still on the list. Finally got a call at 4:30 saying they wanted to reschedule to tomorrow. Worse part is calling and being told I was still on the list. Friday morning (Dec 8) I found my waste lines blocked and water coming up into the bathtub and into a shower pan. I usually call my general contractor friend for help but they were out of town. I have never used Stephens Plumbing but found them in the telephone book saying they can handle anything. I've used other plumbers and must admit I wasn't hopeful Stephens wouldn't try and run me over. I can honestly say Galan and his assistant Robert were perfect for me. This was a same day call and solution. Galan walked the areas of concern, told me what he thought and made a few recommendations. He didn't try to add items nor up sell me. Galan took his time to show me the pros and cons of the options he provided. I made my decision and am happy with the results.
