I called their people out multiple times to get it fixed, which only ended up being a temporary solution. After a year, it's also gapping on the sides. I called the owner several times to get him out here to fix it. He said we should have bought hardwood (for the kitchen?) because they nail down the flooring. The main level flexes where the most walking occurs, so because we bought that, the gapping is our fault (what??). He could have informed us of that in his original quote and we would have purchased a fix so this wouldn't have been an issue. He said since it was over a year, he could have someone come out to fix it at a discount, but was pretty terrible at getting back to me with any date/times. We also have mis-matched pieces because they didn't get the right color for one or two boxes. They did a wonderful job with the hardwood on the stairs and the stain matching for the quarter round. I still wouldn't recommend them or work with them again. I'm having to hire a new contractor to completely replace the floors on the main level. I'm out $3000+

My husband and I are renovating our guest and kids' bathrooms, and Amy was truly fantastic to work with. She was patient, thoughtful, and really creative, and she quickly understood what I was going for--something elevated but still within a budget. She had seen me working with other designers in the store before and clearly picked up on my style and preferences. Amy helped me find beautiful marble along with really complementary floor and niche tiles at great prices, and she even helped make some deals work. She genuinely has a great eye and comes up with tile combinations that feel intentional and a little different. Bryce was also great. After a frustrating earlier experience where a designer didn't send me my designs and then left the job--wasting time and setting things back--Bryce went out of his way to help turn that experience around. He was kind, responsive, and very focused on making sure I walked away feeling good about the store and my experience. He also helped make pricing work on some closeout tiles, which I really appreciated. I've spent at least six or seven hours in this store over the past few weeks, and everyone I interacted with was helpful and pleasant. This Leesburg location is by far 100 times better in service. The displays are clean and prominent. You can get your step goals here if you are walking the aisles looking for the ideal floor, tile, vanity and backsplash. Staff is super friendly. Even in the early morning hours, a cashier is friendly and greets us. A special shout out to the designer, Amy. She has helped us twice in the past week. She has an eye for style and can help with the trends. She walked the aisles with us showing us the various tiles and decor. It was a no brainer to choose them. When it comes to the work itself, the craftsmanship was very good, the cuts are so clean and everything looks amazing. They did very fast work without sacrificing quality. The only areas for improvement I would say they could have are: - Communication during the days of the project, so you know without having to ask when they are coming, leaving, what the progress is, etc. - Ensuring when they put furniture and things back that they pay attention to things like hooking up HDMIs back to the correct places - Doing a better job of cleanup -- they left behind a TON of dust coating everything, sawdust in my basement that I presume blew in from leaving the garage entrance open where they were working, cans/water bottles left behind - Building in measurement/space for lower flooring to not leave a gap in the trim; they came back and did some caulking after I had a water/rain issue, but it still doesn't look as good -- I wish that their molding/trim solution filled the big gaps and I'm going to have to find a way to do that myself To their credit, they were very fast and responsive when I had a water issue and came back out the next day. I also had a crack in my basement ceiling where something pounded through or pounded the drywall loose from the flooring above being done, and they credited me enough money back to be able to have my handyman fix it. The tub in the master was converted into a walk-in shower. New electrical and ventilation were added. The owner Justin was great to work with, communicated almost daily, and stopped by the house frequently to check on the progress of the work and answer any questions or concerns I had. Selvin the team lead is a true craftsman, knows his stuff, and clearly takes pride in the quality of his work. Others on the team worked equally hard and they have all been with Calabrese for at least 10 years.
