    Key 10" Pie
    Cris T.

Well, well, well. I came here after I officiated a wedding at The Liberty Warehouse. I waited on a line but let me tell you it was worth it. I order one frozen 10 inch key lime pie and one 10 non frozen key lime pie. The price was right and let me say it was the best key lime pie I had ever had. The key limes were fresh and the homemade pie was perfect. I saw a lot of people order the chocolate covered key lime pie stick. I was thinking about it as I waited in line. I can see it that sweet and tart taste, but I am more of a traditional guy. They accept cash or credit card. Go check them and order some key lime pies. You will not be disappointed.

Key lime pie was very delicious. Not too sweet. However it could've been more tart. The keys still has the best key lime pie. The vegan carrot tamale was absolutely delicious. Loved the flavor a lot. Line was pretty long on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.

The small key lime tarts were so good yesterday ! I usually get the pie but these little tarts are just as delicious. The filling has just the right amount of lime flavor with a little bit of zest. The crust is so much better than anything you can buy at local retail stores. The people working here are very friendly and kind too.

I had the Raspberry Swingle and while really good, I didn't get much of the key lime taste as the raspberry and chocolate overpowered the taste!

I was so excited to go here! And even more thrilled when I tasted the tart. The place is adorable with a pick up window. All 3 of us had the tarts. And since it was a cold day, my friend ordered a coffee too. You MUST go here! Even if it's a drive to get here-- worth it!

So mediocre! I'm confused how this place is famous! I would not get it again! The key lime pie did not have ANY lime flavor and left me feeling disappointed. I did enjoy the graham cracker crust which was tasty but overpowered each bite. We also got a chocolate dipped frozen raspberry key lime pie on a stick. It was refreshing on a hot day but again, there was no key lime pie flavoring. It tasted like a chocolate covered raspberry. The personal sided pie was $6.50 and the frozen chocolate one of a stick was $9. The line was about 10 people deep when I joined it and took about 10 min. There was only one person working behind the counter. They have picnic tables outside to eat at or you can walk over to the park and sit on a bench to enjoy your treat. No restrooms were available for customers.

Rating: 7.5/10 Date Last Visited: 9/6/2025 We ordered the Raspberry Chocolate Swingle ($9.50) and La Victoria Swingle ($9.50). The swingles are individual servings of key lime pie dipped and coated in chocolate. The raspberry swingle was delicious - there was a good balance between the raspberry jam and key lime pie plus chocolate. It tasted exactly like what you would expect a chocolate dipped key lime pie to taste like. The La Victoria had a spicy kick to it, and I personally was not a fan. It's takeout only but the surrounding area has nice views. Overall, if you're a fan of key lime pie and chocolate, this place is worth a visit.

I went to Red Hook Tavern twice since I needed to try the key lime pies at Steve's. The first time I went, I didn't realize that Steve's closed at 7pm, but we made sure not to make the same mistake twice. The key lime pies are all amazing, and the seasonal fruit flavored ones are even better! The crust is perfectly crumbly and the filling is tangy and sweet. I wish they had a regular frozen version without the chocolate coating since it is a bit too sweet, but the serving sizes are just right. If I had a car or if it wasn't so humid, I'd buy a full pie to go.

Steve's key lime pie is some of the best I've ever had! The shop is a walk-up with no indoor seating, so keep that in mind if you visit during the winter. You'll have to enjoy your pie outside, but there are plenty of benches available. The service was quick and easy, and I'd definitely come back in the summer to enjoy it in warmer weather. Still, it was well worth braving the cold!

Cute sign that directs people to the shop.

Absolutely incredible! The key lime pie is perfectly balanced, refreshing, and unique for a hot summers day. Service was quick, no line at noon on weekday day. The server also gave some great recommendations and answered all my families questions about their menu and store hours (Came back twice in one day because it was just so good). Laid-back vibe by the waterfront which makes this Red Hook gem the perfect spot for a sweet treat with a view.

I spent a day in RedHook and heard so much about this place I had to give it a try. I'm a big fan of key lime pie so I was looking forward to this. I got the small tart and the frozen pie with raspberry. Both pies lacked the tart like flavor I look for in the pie. The crust was standard but for the price I don't think it lived up to the hype.

I was really looking forward to key lime pie. Sadly, Steve's isn't quite what it used to be. The custard filling lacked the creamy texture and that signature balance of sweetness and tartness that makes key lime pie so deliciously satisfying. The graham cracker crust was crumbly and didn't hold together well, making it a bit tricky to enjoy each bite. The treat was edible, but definitely not the zesty dessert I had hoped for.

A cute, unassuming bakery serving up key lime pies -- for someone who doesn't love citrusy desserts... I liked this a lot. Swingle is popular but can be messy to eat -- I'd probably just get a small pie next time!

Really awesome key lime- reminded me of one I had in key west. I liked the regular key lime better than the raspberry one.

I'm wondering if this business is still open? Even if only for curbside pickup? No reviews since March 15th and the website is down, I'm worried they didn't survive this crisis :-( I would love to know if they are still operating!?

I went by about a month ago and they had just closed, siting they would open again after the city opened up a bit more. Send them an email, I might do the same.

I was still deciding when it was my turn in line, and all staff members were patient and encouraged me to take my time. Ambiance: The bakery is small with about four counter seats along the window, but there are plenty of tables and chairs set up outside. There's nothing special about the ambiance, but it's a nice place to hang out and enjoy your sandwich or pastry. Overall, I would highly recommend this bakery!

Even though there is a line, you do not feel rushed or pressured to order quickly. On this visit we ordered plain croissant, chocolate croissant-fresh out of the oven, rhubarb croissant, black forest pastry and brown butter corn cake. The chocolate croissant was amazing. It is triple chocolate and cocoa powder is in the dough. It is filled with milk and dark chocolate, so creamy. The plain croissant was flaky and light. The brown butter corn cake was crispy and caramelized on the outside and soft and moist. The Black Forest croissant is a seasonal offering. It is made with their Triple Chocolate Croissant filled with chocolate cake and sour cherries and topped with mascarpone cream , Rhubarb & Custard Croissant . It is tart and sweet. The rhubarb is roasted and complimented with sweet vanilla custard. They all were excellent. Each were about $8. Highly recommend and don't let the line deter you .
