The barbecue, called Ranch Ihaw Ihaw, will be part of the 99 Ranch store's hot deli department. Meals will include grilled fish, deep fried pork (lechon) and chicken with side dishes like fried noodles and rice. Customers can also order party trays. The retailer notes that Filipino food contains elements of Malay, Spanish, Chinese and American Lechon lechon lechon! Roasted pig! Yum yum! Really crispy skin and tender pork fat.. so greasy but so good! Need to get your pork fix and fast? You should drop by this place inside 99 Ranch and hopefully someone will be with you shortly... cuz the service is horrible.. "Hello, can you help me? Do I order here, there, who is next? Do I pay here?" So confusing, maybe some signage, a bell, would help? It takes longer than needed to get service, really.. even if you are the only person.. Anyway a few of their Filipino dishes for the day I went were: Lechon, crispy pata (deep fried pig hocks), pampano grilled fish, grilled beef and chicken bbq kabobs, guinitan, adobo, caldereta, dinuguan, and pancit palabok. I rounded up a half star, just cuz it's the first review, and maybe more traffic will attract management's attention to change a few things. The place apparently opened around Memorial Day 2013.

I love Filipino food! I'm a big fan of pancit, lumpia and crispy pata. I would have pata everyday if I could. Magic Wok in Artesia is my favorite Filipino restaurant and Pinoy Pinay fast food in Cerritos. Since there is not a lot of Filipino places in Anaheim I have visited this place twice. It's located in Ranch Market, sharing space with a Chinese fast food place. It's not the best location but okay for anyone wanting to get two and three item combos for much cheaper than Kapit Bahay or food from Jolibee. Different dishes are always served and the selection is not huge. Expect to see about 5 or 6 different Filipino dishes only. The food itself is good but much more selection would be better. The food is also not labeled. Overall, it's a decent place for Filipino food but keep your expectations low.

They only have carts on the weekends but walked out different plates. I loved everything we ordered. We ordered the classic sui mai and har gow. This review is specifically for takeout, but honestly, even the takeout holds up on its own. The shu mai are thick, juicy, and packed with larger pieces of pork and shrimp, which I love. You actually get some texture and substantial bites of meat and seafood rather than the overly processed filling you sometimes find elsewhere. The spare ribs are another favourite. They're tender, flavourful, and perfectly seasoned without being overly salty or heavy. And I have to mention the satay. I'm not sure if they make it in-house or use a specific brand, but whatever they're doing, it's one of the best satays I've had and better than pretty much any store-bought brand I've tried and better than a lot of what I've had at other restaurants.

Turns out, it wasn't nearly as crowded as before - though spoiler: the price has increased a lot (I want to say it was $25/lb 10 years ago, and now is $37/lb). Keep in mind too, you can't get a small amount like 1lb - usually it's gonna be 3+lb so your bill is easily going to hit mid-$100 to $200s from the lobster alone. That being said, many people swear this is the best, and that's why they can charge whatever they want. I'm actually allergic to lobster (lol) but am a team player so I just sampled it for the funsies, and had to get another dish to actually eat (went with the beef lok luk). My family said the lobster noodle was good, but not like, fantastic (which we were expecting not fantastic but yeah, mostly came here to a family meeting.) The beef lok luk was also pretty good like, 4.3 of 5 - we just had another version at Paradise which was astounding (like 4.6) though also more expensive and pretty far away. Overall, not sure if we'll come back again as we're more curious about the copycats that have popped up which might be 80% as good and much more affordable. Stay tuned! :)

This helped us get a table much faster than we would have than if we had just shown up and waited. We ordered the large family meal, and there were 12 of us. We also ordered the Newport Lobster, fish fillet with black bean sauce, and an extra shrimp fried rice. Overall, I think the food was good, and the prices are reasonable (except the lobster, which was pricey, as you might expect from anything listed as "market price"). Most of us in the group thought the fish fillet with black bean sauce was the best. I thought it was very good, but not necessarily fantastic. (There are other Chinese restaurants that do it a little better.) The sauce was very good, but the fish wasn't quite as tender as it can be. Definitely a solid 4 stars. Other dishes were good. I think the scallop soup could have been great for some people, but my wife and I both hate cilantro, and there was a ton of cilantro. The pork was also good, and my friends thought the clams were also really good. I found the fried rice a bit bland. And for both the lobster and the crab, they could have made them a little easier to eat by cracking the shells a bit more for us. I hate fighting with my food ... And there was a fair amount of fighting on these 2 dishes. The lobster cost almost much as all the other dishes combined. It certainly looked amazing. And the sauce was very good. But I found most of it a bit overcooked. Maybe it was our fault for asking for a big one. Maybe a smaller lobster might have been cooked a little less. The great sauce (along with the fighting with the shell) might have covered up the fact that the meat was actually a bit tough and rubbery. I don't think I'd order this again. The service was very friendly and pretty fast. And, again, other than the lobster, the pieces were pretty reasonable.

At first I thought it was a Vietnamese restaurant, but it turned out to be more of an Asian fusion place with a little bit of everything. It was super busy, so we had to wait a bit for a table. We were group of 5 and ordered: *Spicy Shrimp Wontons $16 *Shu Mai $15 *Shrimp Garlic Noodles $24.5 *Spicy Pork Belly Soup $14 *Ponzu Salmon Roll $15 *Hot Honey Fried Chicken Baos $32 The sushi roll was just okay, and the pork belly soup leaned salty with a broth that tasted almost like a Tom Yum base plus the pork flavor was a little strong. But the wontons, shu mai, garlic noodles, and fried chicken baos were all really tasty. Overall the food was pretty solid and service was great, too. It might be the only Asian restaurant among other food choices in Anaheim Packing House and we were glad to give it a try. 18 Folds 430 S Anaheim Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92805

One of the draws of eating here are the colorful lit lanterns in the evening. However, we ended dining here in the late afternoon while it was still light out. The inside of the restaurant was pretty much empty and it was a nice day, so we dined out on the patio. Even in the daytime, the colorful lanterns are cool to look at and there is a park area right next to the restaurant. The patio is wide open and completely in the shade. This was a late lunch/early dinner for us, so we just ordered a few different items off the menu to share. Their small sushi menu only has four different rolls and they were out of two of them, so we just had a California roll which was fine. The only sushi protein available is shrimp or krab so I definitely wouldn't recommend them for sushi. We also had an order of the chicken egg rolls. They had a good crisp on them, and the serving size was generous and very filling. The sweet chili dipping sauce had a good mix of sweetness with a little heat. They tasted fine, but it seemed like they were pre-made and lacked a little freshness. Finally, we tried an order of the spicy shrimp wontons off the dim sum menu. It comes with ten wontons, and the shrimp were good but the wontons were a little mushy. They had a nice heat that slowly creeps up on you after a few seconds. Service started out ok as we were able to place our order within ten minutes, but it then got progressively slower. I think there were only two other occupied tables and our three items took almost 25 minutes to come out. After the food arrived, we didn't see a server again for quite a while. Final rating 3.6 stars. These are the times I wish Yelp let you use half points because this experience was right in between 3 and 4 stars. I guess I'll round up to four stars for the relaxing patio and ambiance which is probably even better after dark.
