I'm very disappointed with Stevens Creek Subaru's service department. This is the second time I have had a problem after bringing my car here. After a previous alignment, I discovered that nuts or related fasteners had been damaged. More recently, I brought the car in for an oil change, and afterward it began making a rattling noise that had not been present before. The dealership then said the right front lower control arm was torn and recommended replacing both control arms. I understand that mechanical parts can wear out, but I expected a clear diagnosis, photographs, and a serious investigation into why the noise began after service. Instead, I was left with a major repair estimate and unanswered questions. I no longer feel comfortable having my vehicle serviced at this location and will be going elsewhere for an independent inspection. read more

Upon arrival, it was easy. The entrance signage was perfect and user friendly. I was helped by Michael who informed us that my car should be completed by the end of the day. Checking in was easy and he arranged for me to have a complimentary Lyft ride back home. He sent us a text message and it stated to use the text if we have any questions. Unfortunately, there was a communication breakdown. No one called me back on Saturday to tell me the status of my car or that they will be keeping my car overnight. We called and left a message, but no one ever called us back. Sunday, we called and we spoke to Jenny. She apologized for Michael, he had the day off Sunday, she set us up with a loaner car. They kept my car overnight again. Monday, we received an inspection video of my car, that was cool, but it was difficult to hear and understand the mechanic as he did the walk through. Later, Jenny contacted me and informed me that my car was ready for pick up. I wish we had a better experience. read more

So far, my experience has been mixed. I found a car that interested me online, submitted the pre-auth info, and waited for a response to my request that included specific vehicle, down payment amount, and request for monthly payment. Seems easy, right?! Nope. After countless emails, txt messages, and phone calls from the dealership, I finally received a clear response to my request. Of course, this still required multiple txt messages & a call. In between, I continued to receive multiple calls & txt messages from other people at the dealership. Fortunately, my iPhone blocks all unknown calls/txts. Over 18 hours later, I received a response from Chris at with the exact monthly payment amount. It was 412 pm. I was exhausted, but still needed to contact my insurance company to make sure the cost + car payment would fall within my budget. I'm really bad at math, but my calculations are much quicker than the sales manager. Now, it's past 5 pm on a Friday. Shout out to Jessica Connelly's Farmers Insurance agent!! She stayed late to verify full coverage payment amount for the vehicle I wanted to buy. It only took her 30 minutes!! That includes sending her the details of the car. Now, I have cold feet. A received a recall notice that the gas cap on my 2025 Subaru Forester needs a better gasket to prevent leakage. The notice says it takes 10 minutes to do the job. I made an appointment and was told it could take over an hour. When I got to the service center, Ariel Bardon signed me in. He said it would take over an hour due to a lot of cars being serviced. I explained that I made an appointment in order to reduce the wait. So he decided to fix the problem himself and it took only 15 minutes of wait time for me. I recently went to Stevens Creek Subaru because I wasn't getting sound out of my speakers. During the assessment it was found that my amp was no longer functioning and a replacement was ordered. The replacement was scheduled to take a couple of days and further with the assessment was found that my cabin filter needed replacement as well as a cowl under the front window. I was given a loaner car as ordering the product took a little bit longer than they had expected, but I was kept updated and I'm really pleased with the care I received Jenney at Stevens Creek Subaru was incredibly helpful and her and Michael stayed in touch with me so I was not worried about my car's care. I even received a video showing the inspection of my car which I greatly appreciate it. If I need further care, I will definitely get in contact with Jenney Bezuk. A Model of Consistency--In Poor Service My experience with Stevens Creek Subaru spans over 15 years, and sadly, the one thing they've been consistent about is their poor follow-through. Roughly 15 years ago, I brought my car in for warranty work. When I didn't hear back for days, I called to check in--only to be told the work had been completed a couple of days earlier. I mentioned that I was supposed to be notified, and they admitted, "We should have called." Fast forward to 2019: different service visit, same story. The warranty work was completed, no call, no update. Again, I had to chase them down to find out my car was ready. Recently, I needed proof that the 2019 warranty work had been done. After several attempts to get someone on the phone, I was told I'd get a call back. I didn't. I followed up, was told someone was "on it," and again--no communication. Out of frustration, I visited the service department at a Subaru dealership in another state. They printed out the needed documentation in minutes. In my experience, Stevens Creek Subaru consistently fails to communicate, follow up, or deliver basic customer service. It's a pattern that hasn't changed in over a decade. read more

Husband and I came in to get our cars serviced, appts were 9:15am. Took them 50-60 minutes for customer service to get to our cars and go over what services they needed. What is the point of an appt if you will sit in your car for almost an hour waiting to get helped? Our appt was at 9:15am, they told us our forester would be ready in 2.5 hours (simple oil change and car wash) and our WRX at the end of the day. It has been more than 4 hours and we are still waiting... it was a simple oil change. Usually do it at home but WRX was making a noise and needed to be brought in. So husband said let's bring both in. Employees are nice and friendly but the wait time and service time are unacceptable. WTF!!! read more

Despite having a scheduled appointment, I waited an hour past the time slot (and I even came 10 minutes early!) without speaking to a service advisor. By the way, scheduling an appointment means nothing apparently! Any number of folks can schedule for the same time slot! Pretty interesting system since it practically removes all the benefits of.. having an appointment system? Anyway, they just let the poor porters handle customer service there now since they can't even be bothered to talk to people waiting as they're "busy." It's one thing if I have to wait 10 - 15 minutes past the time as I understand it takes time to talk to customers and ensure they understand what's going on with their car.. but an hour? Not only does this mean they are disrespectful of your time but how can you trust their service department not to rip you off or perform good work if they don't even care how long you wait. Finally, a service advisor came to "check on me," not even to finally check my car into service, and I asked to speak with a manager. Guess what the manager said? "What do you want me to do about it?" Fantastic. Just know if you're leaving your car here this is the type of service and care you'll get. And I'm not just some random customer. I, and my extended family of whom all own Subarus, have been coming here for years. We used to recommend this place to anyone with a Subaru. No more. What a shame. I'll be contacting Subaru (as they send me at least 5 surveys a quarter) and perhaps the GM for the Bakhtiari Auto Group and just let them know how the service department is being run now. TL;DR: I would not recommend getting your car serviced here unless you like cosplaying as an FBI agent staking out a suspect's house for hours. read more

Dishonest!! I own a Subaru and tried to get a factory recall done. I scheduled an appointment and dropped the car off. Later that day they called and said the parts were "back ordered " . Why didn't they tell me before, since the dealer already knew why I was bringing my car in? The service advisor Millis, told me to check back with him. When I did, he never returned multiple messages or texts. I called another Subaru dealer and scheduled an appointment. They told me the parts were available and not back ordered! They also suggested that Stevens Creek did not want to do it because there is no money to be made in recall work. What a shameful dealer. Millis is straight up dishonest! What a stark contrast between my two experiences at Capitol Subaru vs Steven's Creek Subaru! Pete (Peyman) Shahni at Steven's Creek made my weekend :) I was in the market for a brand-new vehicle. A sort of, last minute decision rather than buying used/CPO. Despite already being a laydown buyer and knowing I wanted a Subie and a few of the options to be included (leather upholstery, moonroof, etc), Pete made the purchase experience absolutely seamless. I didn't feel pressured to add on the warranty or anything I did not ask for. Everything was presented on a silver platter and I ultimately made the decision whether to include it. He offered a wonderful deal with the Starlink feature for 3 years, at $100, and that just made sense with all its anti-theft notifications and such. Pete did everything with a smile and had a friendly attitude that just made you forget you were at a car dealership and about to drop $40k on a vehicle, LOL.
