So I recently moved down to Santee from the LA area and have been in search of a good hair stylist because over the last few months, my hair has gotten very dry which I was informed by the lovely Stephanie that it's probably due to the hard water here in SD. It was in such disrepair and unfortunately damaged from a previous experience elsewhere. Stephanie took nearly 5 hours perfecting my highlights. The transformation is absolutely incredible. She was so sweet and accommodating. Seriously, a pro colorist, I showed her a quick picture and she not only met but exceeded my expectations. My hair is very important to me and I have hair extensions with blonde highlights so finding the right stylist can sometimes be challenging. I have tried a few over the past year the last stylist fried my hair. So I made it a point to find the best hair salon in San Diego. So when I typed the best hair salon in Google Stevie The Salon popped up. Thank God !! so I called and I booked an appointment with Ceann on Friday. I brought pictures of what I wanted to achieve. My hair was very gold and needed dimension (low lights) so since my hair was challenging Ceann brought Stevie over and the three of us discussed my hair goals and what we would be able to achieve that day. Basically we put together a plan. I honestly can't believe how confident the conversation made me feel knowing that a knowledgeable stylist was going to be doing my hair. I've been struggling with finding what I wanted to do with my hair for the longest time. I've been an icy blonde for several years and wanted to let my roots grow out naturally, especially because my hair kept pulling brass and warm tones over time between salon visits. No one could really get my hair away from those warm tones. The process of growing it out just looked so messy and it really messed with my confidence. 1. I was scheduled with someone (henceforth referred to C) that doesn't have not one client with curly/textured hair (although I was asked what my hair type was when I called to make my appointment). 2. C showed up 10 minutes late. 3. I showed C a picture of the highlights that I had done in 2019, which did not require that I bleach my hair. C said she had no idea how those highlights were achieved without highlighting my hair. 4. I asked for long layers, a rounded shape to my hair, and more volume (I have very curly thick hair, volume is very easy to acheive). I was given THE MOST basic trim ever. No volume was created, or shape. 5. C recommended that I add some red to my hair. At the beginning of our session I said i want my hair lighter. When she recommended red, C did not mention that it would make my hair appear tremendously darker (I was very clear at the beginning of my session that I have very little experience with coloring my hair. More clarification was absolutely needed). 6. C did not rinse out the shampoo after dying it, and had to return me to the sink. 7. C had absolutely no idea how to style my curly hair. She asked me what product she should put. 8. C asked me if I could SHOW HER how to use a diffuser!!!!! THIS GIRL HAS NO IDEA WHAT SHE'S DOING AND NOW SHES ASKING ME FOR HELP??? 9. I left completely unsatisfied. I called two days later requesting I speak with the manager. He messaged me and said he would call me back the following day (11.01.23) 10. STEVIE NEVER CALLED!! Customer satisfaction= 0 stylist experience= 0 knowledgeability= 0 CONSIDERATION AND RESPECT OF THE CLIENT=0 I never thought I would go through such a horrible salon experience... so unprofessional. Curly/textured hair folks, do yourselves a favor and avoid this place by all means. read more

First and last time coming here. Asked to be booked for a haircut and blowout. The stylist washed my hair, barely trimmed it, barely dried it, no style, no nothing. I was walking back to my car, I SWEAR FOR GOD, thirty minutes after my appointment time. I walked in the salon at 4:30 and was paying at 5:00. So $53 for THIRTY MINUTES of half ass work. I could've gone to a Super Cuts for the same job at half the price. What a joke.
