I would give this shop more stars if I could. I dropped my McLaren off because it was running rich. I told them what I thought was wrong. I was wrong, the part I said to replace didn't need to be replaced. Matt saved me $1,500. They took their time and found the actual issue. They didn't over change me and I was actually really shocked by the final bill. I was thinking it would be doubled what they charged me. This is a good shop. I will never take my car anywhere else.

Oversized off road tires, a software or rod lift, and small details like wind deflectors and a different grill can really transform the look

Totalled my beloved 3rd Gen 4runner. Had it for 11 years and kept it in immaculate condition even with heavy off-road use and harsh winters and mountain driving. Figured I'd just buy another used one but unfortunately all the used ones had 200k+ miles on them and were beat to hell and not well maintained yet still commanded a high price. I wanted another big off-road capable SUV but was unimpressed with the newer generation styles out there, not to mention the prices. Wasn't about to drop $60,000 for a new 4runner or Discovery or even half that for a newer used 4runner or LR4. Decided I wanted an LR3 Land Rover. World class off-road capability, air suspension, seats 7, luxury interior, and powerful V8 Jaguar engine. Never thought I'd ever consider or own a British car but got bit by the Land Rover bug and their innovation. Finding used one under 100k miles, under $10k, and in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition however was a major challenge. I knew it'd be smart to make sure I had anything I wanted pre-purchase inspected. Matt at Stewart's was recommended to me by a Land Rover dealer tech as "the man" when it came to Rovers, and the LR3 generation especially. I had Matt look at one that I thought was great. He found a huge host of mechanical and electrical/computer issues that would have been thousands of dollars in parts and labor to get up to speed. NEXT. Brought in another one and Matt did the same, this time only finding about $500 worth of fixes. I easily took this off the asking price with the seller and landed me a 2005 LR3 in outstanding cosmetic interior/exterior and mechanical condition, 82k miles, for only $7500. After lifting it with the GAP ID tool, Johnson Rods, oversized tires, rebuilding transmission pan/filter/oil with the upgraded metal kit, tranny, diff, and engine oils, sparkplugs, and some other minor upgrades and fixes, this thing was looking boss. Matt was extremely helpful and offered a ton of advice for months on the truck throughout my upgrades and builds. After 10k miles problem free, the truck's EAS system failed an it was undrivable on its bumpstops. Within 12 hours on short notice, Matt had it diagnosed as a failed compressor, had parts sourced, and finished installing a new compressor to get it back up and running great. Outstanding customer service, communication, and knowledge from Matt in every way. I was glad to be able to put some money back into the shop after all the support Matt had given me since the inspection/purchase of the vehicle. I live in NV, and all Land Rover dealers or private shops here were booked out 3 weeks just for an appointment regardless of priority. These guys at Stewart's don't mess around. Shop was organized, clean, and professional. Full of exotics and quality cars. These guys have a reputation to uphold and have set the standard I'd say in at least a 500 miles radius for others to aspire to. If you ever want to buy a car, especially a luxury or exotic or sports, make sure you get a 3rd party inspection. I went through 4 Rovers and almost $1000 to find the one I have now, but it was worth every penny to find something solid....and make sure you only do it at one place... Stewart's...."The only way to fly"

Matthew McCormick, the General Manager at Stewart's Automotive was very easy to work with, professional, reliable and delivers what he promises. Ordered a pre-purchase inspection for a Lambo I was trying to buy and he went through it with a fine tooth comb. Found damage undisclosed by seller. Thank you so much.

I used Yelp to put a blanket request for the Sacramento area, and Stress Free Auto reached out right away! I was able to take my car in first thing the next morning and was greeted in such a friendly and warm way. Knowing they had a few jobs ahead of me, they called a niiiice Lyft and made sure I got home free of charge! From there the communication was excellent. There were continual texts that provided information about their progress not only with searching for the main problem, but also a general overall inspection of my vehicle. Once complete they sent me an estimate, I called to coordinate which things I wanted repaired/addressed, and they sent over a finalized quote that I signed immediately. It was quick, informative, and quite literally stress free The main problem was a cracked exhaust manifold. Seems like an extensive repair, right? Well, they let me know later that afternoon that they were done! Amazing same day service! Absolutely incredible. It's been a month since the repair and I haven't had any issues. So, in my book, that's a job well done! The only small gripe I have is the cost. Again, it was same day service, so it's understandable that I might have paid more than I would have at another local shop, but they did offer a discount on the initial inspection cost. Some other shops roll the inspection cost into the cost of repairs, but unfortunately Stress Free doesn't do that. Plus, a couple of suggested repairs were somewhat of a laughable cost. If memory serves, they quoted me around $60 to replace wipers. I'm not sure if it was a quote for all 3, or just one, but I spent $15 on a wiper on the way home and installed it myself. Whatever, they are trying to make money! Despite my small price gripe, I will be using Stress Free in the future for any vehicle concerns I have!

They responded very quickly, priced fairly, and even provided time slots they had open, so I headed to the shop that same Saturday. When I arrived, they quickly directed me to pull in to start the service. It seems like I had just sat down when they called me back out to show me the the underside of the van. They wanted to know where I'd done the prior oil changes since whoever did them had stripped the tread on the pan from tightening the bolt too tight. I could clearly see that what they were saying was true and the pan had no tread and had been leaking oil this whole time. There really would be no way to do the oil change without also changing the pan. I asked how much that replacement would cost, and told them to go ahead complete the repair along with the oil change. This is my mom's mini van that I was going to drive back down to LA, so definitely wanted to ensure I was safe. I was told it would take 2-3 hours, but was quickly out in about 1.5. They even provided a discount when I paid since the repair was unexpected and fast, which I really appreciate. They pointed out some other concerns, but did not force any repairs on me, which I am grateful for. Will definitely be coming back for any future oil changes and repairs.

I had been using them for…read moreoil changes and had always been happy with that service, so I trusted them with this repair. They diagnosed the source of the oil leak, and because I have an extended warranty, I went through the warranty process and authorized the repair. Their labor rates exceeded what my warranty would cover, so I paid the difference out of pocket. Unfortunately, this is where my experience went downhill. After the repair, my car continued leaking oil for more than a year. I brought it back multiple times, and each visit resulted in another attempt to fix the problem, usually by adding more gaskets. It became clear that they were taking shortcuts rather than properly diagnosing and repairing the issue. At one point, I discovered they had even stuffed rags around the oil pan. After several unsuccessful repair attempts, Auto Stop finally admitted they could not fix the problem. To make matters worse, during the course of their repeated repair attempts, they damaged the upper oil pan. Their only recommendation at that point was to take the vehicle to the dealership. That's exactly what I had to do. The dealership corrected the original oil leak and repaired the additional damage caused during Auto Stop's failed repair attempts, leaving me to pay for work that could have been avoided. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Auto Stop. What should have been a straightforward repair turned into more than a year of frustration, repeated trips back to the shop, additional damage to my vehicle, and significant extra expense.

He inspected them and showed me how each one was clean, dry, and completely fine. He then inspected the rest of the engine compartment and the undercarriage and showed me that it was all in great shape. Finally, he noticed that a previous mechanic had removed the plastic shroud for my front wheel wells and failed to install new clips to secure the shroud afterward. I had wondered about the gap he noticed for years, but I didn't realize it was anything other than wear and tear. He replaced the clips for no extra charge. I know it seems like a small thing, but to me, it speaks clearly to Roland's character: I believe he genuinely cares about doing right by his customers and taking good care of their cars. When I asked him about some issues with electronic parts on my car (e.g. a digital dashboard display), he let me know that his area of focus was mechanical service and advised me to take my car to an electrical auto shop. I was grateful that he knew the limits of his expertise, communicated them clearly, and stuck to them. I felt his quoted price was quite reasonable, and even after he performed more work than requested (still within about a 1-hour time slot), he stuck to his original price quote.
