    Decorated cones

Stickhouse has a fun concept and a lot of potential, but timing mattered during our visit. We are still waiting for the main attraction. Stickhouse is part of a food hall, and when we stopped by there were only three businesses operating at the time. Stickhouse itself was offering gelato and decorated cones, but unfortunately no sticks until next year, which was the main reason we came. That part was definitely disappointing. Ordering is done through a kiosk, which was actually convenient since we arrived pretty late and there were not many people around. It made the process quick and easy without needing to wait for service. We ordered a strawberry gelato cup, which came with a triangle sugar cookie. The gelato was excellent. Fresh tasting, perfectly sweetened, soft and smooth. Exactly what you want to refresh your palate after a meal. It easily ended up being the highlight of the visit. Service was good overall, and the space itself is fun with cool decor and even a few claw games, which adds to the casual, playful atmosphere of the food hall. While we were bummed that the signature sticks were not available yet, the gelato alone made the stop worthwhile. I will definitely come back to try the actual Stickhouse sticks once they are available, because if the gelato is any indication, the full experience might be worth it.

Best gelato I've had in the Bay Area and I've had gelato in Italy. Stickhouse is a gelato franchise from Italy. Love the avocado and the chocolate gelatos. The avocado gelato's texture was so creamy smooth. Perfect sweetness, not overwhelmingly sweet. The chocolate gelato was chocolatey rich and had what looked like chocolate nibs which added a little bit of crunch. Thw mango was also full flavor Alphonse type mango. With a little tart flavor. Other flavors were strawberry, durian, vanilla, mixed berry and matcha. The tiramisu tasted like a combination espresso and caramel. They give a cookie wafer as topping. Also have toppings including chocolate drizzle from a chocolate fountain. Reasonably priced at $8 for 2 good sized scoop. I think this double scoop is the best value. They also offer gelato on a stick. They allow you to sample the gelato. Staff, including the owner Allen, were very friendly and professional. There were actually two franchise personnel from Italy assisting the owner get this gelato location started. Yummiest gelato I've had in the Bay Area.

Hazelnut ice cream is delicious. Very friendly and super fast service. Highly recommended.

Nostalgic flavors from my childhood in a gelato format? :)…read more I came to Marco Polo on a Friday evening and ordered two small cups for my partner and I. This is my third time at Marco Polo and it really hit the spot. The location is in Vietnam Town, on the far right side, next to Pho 90. When I went this time around, there was no lines but there were still people sitting in the store eating their desserts. Parking here can get tough because of the plaza itself so just a heads up to folks who do not frequent the area. What makes Marco Polo so special is their Asian gelato flavors that you cannot really get anywhere else (that to say a lot of places are now expanding their selections). This was the first spot where I could finally get my hands on durian gelato and it was absolutely delicious. The store itself has around 3 tables for you to sit in and is pretty bare boned. It is good for a grab and go but with the limited seating inside and outside you could spend some time here. Service is quick and you are able to try out some samples. This time around I ordered black sesame and Pandan, while my partner got mango and lychee. It was near close so they ran out of mangosteen unfortunately when I went. While the flavors were great, stood out, and were bold, I will say texturally it was a bit icey for my liking but that might have been because they started crystallizing from being out for a while. Overall, this is a small business I will continue to support!

I could tell she was doing her best to keep the line moving along but felt kind of bad that she didn't have any support. Thankfully, by the time we finally got to the front, another person came out from the back to help scoop, and a third to handle checkout. I planned on getting a medium with two scoops and knew I wanted passionfruit but was torn between lemon and coconut, so I asked to sample both. The lemon was good, but I preferred the creaminess of the coconut, so I went with that. The coconut was yummy, but the passionfruit was amazing. That alone is worth a 5-star review. My mom got the Bombolato with Croccantino Amarena (sweet milk with sour cherries and chocolate chips) and Capriccio (hazelnut with chocolate spread) topped with chocolate and chopped hazelnuts. She loved it! She pretty much ate the whole thing, except for half the donut. My only gripe is that I wish they had at least one vegan pastry in the cake section. The seating options are also really limited in the gelato area but luckily we walked to the back and found one open table.

What I had: - Lychee Matcha (double matcha, regular sweet, regular ice) - Yuzu Matcha (double matcha, regular sweet, regular ice). Double matcha was not overly strong or caffeinating to me (love that they do not charge extra for this option btw)- my caff tolerance I'd say is relatively high or above average for sure. Surprisingly, at that matcha level the taste is not overly bitter at all. And the regular sweet is perfect (I normally get 50% sweet at boba shops). Same with the ice level, I think their regular ice level is fine (I normally get less ice at boba shops). The Lychee matcha has great lychee taste, not artificial tasting, it's a great blend of both lychee + matcha. The Yuzu is leaning towards the 'lemonade' profile without being overly citrusy. More refreshing than the lychee matcha, but both are refreshing anyways due to the nature of their flavors! I think I prefer the lychee matcha normally, honestly hard to say which flavor is better! I thoroughly enjoyed both these drinks! Their flavors are blended well with the matcha- not overly sweet in flavor, and matcha is great quality while not overly powerful or bitter. Drinks are of course mixed well and composed nearly perfectly. ---How I Rate on Yelp:--- (5 stars): Exceptional!! -- food, service, and atmosphere all outstanding. Worth going out of your way. (4 stars): Great! -- very good experience overall, minor flaws but nothing major. (3 stars): Good -- decent, acceptable, but there's room for clear improvement. (2 stars): Poor -- disappointing experience, multiple issues (food, service, or setting). (1 star): Terrible -- very bad experience, would not return or recommend.

The service is great, and they make your drinks very fast. The taste is very consistent, and they do have a large menu with lots of different items other than matcha. My only downside is the variety of matcha over the recent year. From last year and this year, the menu for matcha has not changed much, and it seems like I get the same taste every time I go. While the first time was enjoyable, after it just gets repetitive. I love Izumi, but I really wish there was a rotation between drinks.

The gelato was so creamy that it's almost hard to believe it's vegan/non-dairy. The flavors were also so on point and pleasant, without being too sweet. I'm not usually a green milk tea OR oreo person but this flavor could easily convert me. I also highly recommend the Black Tea flavor. If I had to pick between the milk tea ice cream from Dr.ink and this, I'll pick this hands-down! It tastes so much more like milk tea to me, who is a "50% sweet, 50% ice" kinda gal. We tried the three flavors they had (matcha green tea, matcha green tea with oreo, and jasmine tea with oreo). The matcha green tea base is really good and you taste the matcha green tea. The price is very reasonable too. A cup with 3 small scoops of each flavor for $5. We liked it so much that we went back on Sunday to try the black tea and chai tea flavors. The tea flavors really come through the ice cream. The black tea flavor is subtle though, but I like it. So we ordered a pint of matcha oreo and a pint of black tea on their website on Monday, and just picked them up today! Loafy Shark looks to be a brand new startup. There's not a "store front" yet. The owner said she's testing out new flavors and we can find her pop up locations on Instagram. If you are interested in tea-flavored gelato or just want vegan gelato/ice cream, I highly recommend Loafy Shark!
