Came in with my partner Friday April 14 and sat at the bar, when the bartender said under her breath "we don't allow kids at the bar" and walked away. She came back and very loudly said "We don't allow people under 21 at the bar", never once looking at me, never once asked for my ID and never acknowledged me. i had to shove my ID in her hands because she wasn't ever going to ask for it. We left without ordering and won't be back. The absolute disrespect that I experienced was astounding. When did manners die? They have the potential to be an great place like their deep ellum location (the facility, the food, the prices are on point) but right now, they are below average. I went today at 4:30 p.m., the place was empty but it took them 45 minutes to bring an order of tuna twcos and a bruschetta. When I asked, the clearly inexperienced waitress said that it takes that long because of the time it needs to be in the oven which made things even worse and actually funny. Either they don't have enough staff in the kitchen or they are very disorganized. I already gave them three tries and the previous two warrant that much better. Stirr never seems to disappoint! We went for brunch on a Saturday and were seated immediately. We got the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer! It was definitely more spinach and artichoke as opposed to a dip. But the flavor was phenomenal. I got the Texan (a chicken fried ribeye with cream gravy), and my friends got the breakfast melt sandwich and the strawberry shortcake pancakes. They have mimosa pitchers for $15 and lot of other fun brunch drinks. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought my friend a coke float with sparklers in it! Stirr in Addison has been around for a short bit but it's new to me even though I've been to the Deep Ellum and (former) Fort Worth locations. The inside is cute and posh. There are two levels. We sat in the upstairs dining area which is different compared to their Deep Ellum location, but it's a whole MOOD up there (more dining, less day party). I saw guests wearing athleisure to glammed up which I really appreciate because getting glammed up isn't always in the cards THE DJ! The music will have you rocking in your seat and possibly singing out loud... (I definitely hit a little jig in my chair...it did get louder the longer we were there just FYI We started with their $15 mimosa pitcher. Not your typical OJ + champs combo, but I tasted hints of pineapple and the ratio is perfect! Next, we decided to try some apps. Pictured you will see the hot maple chicken (sweet and spicy chicken bites), volcano rock shrimp (sweet and spicy shrimp), and buffalo chicken egg rolls. All delish. Then came the entrees! Here you will see the steak and eggs (with an amazing green chimmichurri-like sauce), chicken and biscuits, brisket hash, and ceaser salad! Also pictured are the Golden Wings and Garlic Chicken Alfredo Flatbread! My final verdict is that Stirr is a cute spot with great vibes! The food is sufficient enough to keep your belly full and taste buds happy while sipping mimosas, but I wouldn't put it at the top of my list for most delicious brunch food I've ever had. Took our server 10 minutes to greet us. Didn't even give us her name. We had a larger party but that's no excuse. The food was decent, we ordered the chicken and waffles and the serving size was terrible. My club sandwich was double the size and cheaper. We asked to switch it out and was told a manager would come.. never came, we eventually got it traded out for the po boy(mid). The whole time I'm thinking the server must not care to be tipped which is why she's neglecting us. No she's neglecting us cause there's an automatic gratuity!!! We asked what it was, we were told by the manager that it was to help with inflation. Why don't you just raise the menu prices 3%? Most people are ok paying $16.50 instead of $16 for an item if they want it. That's more transparent than some random, shady fee that is automatically added to my bill anyway. Prices are accesible, the prices ranged from $10 to $16 dollars or so. The have a brunch menu, and the regular menu. Waiters were masks and gloves. The not so good: it gets crowded pretty easy, so you better make a reservation. Parking is the same as the shopping/food court so you might have to park a bit farther depending on the time. I personally didn't feel affected by this but there was probably too many people close to each other in the small entry area. Verdict: it is a good place for brunch specially for larger groups. It was only about $15 and 2 of us couldn't finish the entire pitcher. We ordered pineapple mimoas. I ordered the chicken biscuit with bacon. It was really good and suggested by the waitress. We also had a white tea shot to celebrate my little cousins birthday. My cousin ordered the brunch burger and she really enjoyed it. You definitely get plenty of food. I only gave 3 stars because there were alot of flies and we were indoors, and another server decided to spray bug spray in the air while people were eating. I understand she was trying to be proactive but that should have been done before they were seating people in that area. Then security came and approached our table and asked us to leave because he needed to remove the table to make room for the rest of night.
