So I went by to the Absolutely Creative Customs shop a few months ago to get a quote for some…read morespeakers for my car. Joe came out and was honest about telling me that I didn't need any rear speakers in my convertible, but instead just some good solid door speakers with good audio insulation and some tweeters installed to give a full range of sound. Add an amp to get some quality sound out of my current stereo to the new speakers, and you're all set. I scheduled an appointment for a week or two later. I showed up the night before to drop it off. Joe was there, and I gave him my key. I was about to leave when he ran back out and told me that I was scheduled for the following week! Wow. I'm smart. Great. Now I feel dumb. Oh well, next week should work. Should've put it in my calendar correctly the first time! So I was going to drop it off the next week, but I was having another shop in town check out some of the mechanical stuff on my car, and I didn't want to have speakers installed if I was gonna end up needing to spend too much on engine stuff anyways, so I rescheduled again with Joe. I explained my thinking and they mentioned to me that even if they installed all the audio stuff and if I ended up wanting it taken out, they do that for free. That's pretty awesome. I didn't want them to have that hassle though, so I waited. My car was in the shop while I was on vacation, and I was supposed to have my girlfriend drop it off at Joe's after the engine work was done. I was on vacation though... and I forgot. :-/ So after messing up their schedule like three times, I finally set up a time and brought it in and they did the installation of the speakers and amp and everything was sounding really good. I tested it in the parking lot and cranked up the volume. The right speaker was cutting out when it was hitting really bass heavy notes. So I went back in and let them know. Joe dropped what he was doing, figured out what the problem was (some insulation had fallen down), and he fixed it in like 20 minutes. I was driving down the road listening to music with my new speakers for the first time, and I was like, "Oh man, so THIS is what this song was really supposed to sound like!" Seriously, the kick out of the Focal speakers is really good, and the quality and range of sounds from the tweeters makes it all so much better. If I had room for a subwoofer in my Miata, I would put one in, but honestly it's fine without it. I was really impressed that Joe and the woman that runs the office were professional and nice to me, despite me being kind-of a pain to schedule and work with.

The technician failed to complete the programming but still charged us $80. To make things worse... When we tried to leave, the ignition would no longer turn. Prior to this visit, there were zero ignition or starting issues. The key would not rotate and the steering wheel was locked. The car arrived drivable. It left on a tow truck. The technician did not understand what had happened and offered no solution. After he failed, there was no clear explanation, no recovery plan, and no meaningful assistance. We were left standing there with a disabled vehicle. Because the wheels would not turn, the tow truck had to drag the vehicle out of the parking space. The company offered no assistance for the tow, we arranged rides, and lost two full days while the car sat at a mechanic. We were out several hours and several hundred dollars due to this failed visit. The owner, Jeremiah, changed his responses multiple times and ultimately did nothing to assist, or take responsibility for the inconvenience. No towing coverage. Nothing. If you value your time, your vehicle, and basic accountability, take this into consideration before scheduling service here. They have always fixed me up. Skilled mechanics, knowledgeable front office that's friendly and always have communicated with me all the way through the repairs. I've had work done on my diesel trucks, an Acura, and my Toyota. I've even had them work on my 78 Camaro that was a nightmare to diagnose. They chased down the problem and fixed it properly. 3 other shops failed to find the problem but they found it. Not only are they a family business but they've always listened and communicated so well. They have warranted several parts over the years no questions asked. From towing , technical repairs to gremlins on my classic car. These guys and gals deliver every time. They are a successful shop and they'll have cars stacked up out front and they motor thru the work. My vehicles have always gotten handled in an appropriate amount of time. Then justified charging "book rate" 6 hrs. labor, $150/hr, for a job he finished in 1.3 hrs. He ripped off 2 stranded senior citizen vets. People with masters degrees don't make $150/hr but he greedily steals double that by charging multiple customers for the same hours. I will be telling everyone we meet traveling around the country to avoid this immoral greedy thief. If he had any conscience he would refund the 4 hrs. of labor he stole from me. One day he will reep the consequences of ripping people off.

Slade and his guys do great work, they are truly experts in their field and know exactly how to build a system to meet your specific needs. All the work was done with the highest attention to detail. They carry the best products in the industry with a wide selection no matter what your price range. My friend and I thought the new location would change the attitude of the people that work there but sadly not the case. Still the same smug unhelpful people. Too bad there is no competitor to give our business to guess we will just go to Walmart at least they pretend to be happy We are shopping there. There is always crutchfield.com. After doing an in-depth inspection and no issue being found, Nate asked if he could drive it around to see if it happened again. After no issues during his drive, he brought it directly to me at the hotel we were at. He gave us ideas on what might have been the cause, answered all my questions (despite some of them probably being ridiculous!), and said they'd be happy to help if we have any issues in the future. These guys went way above and beyond amd showed true concern for our needs and car issues versus us just being a number and a paycheck. Words can't describe how grateful I am for their help and patience (and the fact that it didnt cost an arm and a leg just for no issues to be found!).

Diesel truck 2 bad batteries called the store Saturday night about 10 minutes until store closed, said he was about 20 minutes out and needed batteries. Customer informed store closed at 10 and they were going thru shut-down procedures and cash registers wouldn't be avail, however if could pay with card they could do transaction. Took customers order over phone. Store was closed, he arrived at 1020, Scott helped employees install his batteries. 2. New Yrs 2019 Family returning to Kansas from Montana, Chevy Suburban, Waterpump went out. Customer ordered parts on-line. Assisted customer in store swap-out fan blade assy, they couldn't get it off installed new blade assy. They bought 4 gallons of 50/50 mix antifreeze $70 sum bux plus tax. Customer informed let's see if we can find an empty gallon container, they inquired why. Customer informed we're here to try to save you money also. We found an empty container, refunded customer the money and recharged him for the straight anti-freeze, made their own 50/50 mix of antifreeze, saved customer about $40 bux. 3. Dec 2019 Customer had bad thermostat, purchased parts but not really sure how to change out parts. Employee changed thermostat for customer in about 15 minutes 4. Dec 2019 Customer purchased wiper blades and headlight bulb at another business, they couldn't install them, came into store told us they bought elsewhere but asked if we would install them. Customers parts installed.

Ann was super friendly and truly wanted to help us. She had us drive over to the shop and her foreman looked at the engine and found the problem in less than a minute. Uneven front window cuts, scratches and bubbles were seen on all windows. To the untrained eye this may not be noticeable but to the rest this is glaring issue. Upon return to confront about the situation I received good customer service where they offered to fix my issues but I opted for a full refund.
