    Tri Tip Platter: $14.00
    Stacy C.

Eh, probably a personal thing, but wasn't a fan of the tri-tip platter that I got. The portions were small and I didn't know they put cheese on everything. I don't like cheese. Lol. If I had known, I would've asked for no cheese. It came with side of corn (with cheese), beans (with cheese), cole slaw, salsa, garlic bread (with cheese) and the tri-tip. The meat was a little on the tough side (overcooked) and it was unfortunate that I wasn't a fan of most of the sides and ended up not eating them (cole slaw, beans and cheese garlic bread). I did immensely enjoy their corn though, nicely savory with a nice spicy kick if I remember correctly. Honestly, I just didn't think it was worth the $14.00 I paid for such small portions of everything. I was still hungry after... :/

Stoked cooks up some decent tri tip and some great bread. Another menu that's pretty straight forward. You can choose between a tri tip sandwich or a tri tip plate...sweet and simple. The tri tip is tender and has a good smoked flavor. The stoked sauce and slaw adds sweetness to the meat. The winner of the sandwich however is the cheesy garlic bread. The bread was awesome! I could order the bread alone and would be satisfied. The mix on the sandwich was good but to enjoy the individual flavors, a tri tip plate will be ordered next time. Along with extra bread. Don't miss out on the cheesy garlic bread. Great stuff! Lunch 4/9/2017

The tri tip taco is just wow! Delicious, filling, and full of flavors/textures. It's located at Smorgasburg on Sundays. This booth is a must visit. They specialize in Santa Maria style bbq. The special refreshing fruit drinks are a must try as well. Don't walk past this booth! You'll regret it! Recommendation: Tri Tip Tacos

I stumbled upon the Stoked California BBQ stand at the 'Smorgasburg LA' Sunday market in downtown Los Angeles. Ordering their Tri Tip Sandwich appeared to be a no brainer. I couldn't resist. Unfortunately, it did not live up what I was hoping for; I wasn't completely stoked. The small Tri Tip portion was sandwiched between garlic bread with melted cheese and excess salt/seasoning. Perhaps a personal distaste. Worth noting: the staff was very friendly and pleasant.

This is way over priced, quality isn't that great... burned the toast and the portions are small... tried to sell it as big portion but you be the judge.. platter was supposed to have pork but again let's look at the picture. Brought it to two peoples attention and they could care less. Yeah... pass up in this.

I have had Santa Maria bbq and their Tri-tip is on point here! I got the platter to have a taste of everything and I did not regret it! Their pork belly is nice and tender. Their corn is delicious with a lil spicy kick! Hot links, beans, coleslaw and cheese bread was delicious as well! Recommend trying their melon juice too! Mario helped us out and is a really cool dude! I give him kudos for grilling up our meat!

Came down to BBQ day at Smorgasburg and Stoked was my favorite. We tried a couple BBQ spots but I must say, Stoked is something extra special. I had the sandwich and first off, the toast French bread bun works and the amount of meat they put was plenty. The side of salsa was actually pretty smart, which initially I didn't think it would work. But it was delicious. The wait was long because of the long line but sooooo worth it. Oh and gotta try the lemon juice. AMAZING.

The best BBQ at Smorgasburg LA! Don't keep walking around the festival and stop right here. My father loves smoking food and on visiting from out of state he was wowed by the quality of this smoked food. He said it was better than the smoked BBQ he tried in Texas when I lived out there. Try the BBQ sample platter! Also the Lemonade is lovely.

The Stoked Tri-Tip Plate! Tasty, flavorful, and tender tri-tip!

I ordered the Blood In, Blood Out and my wife ordered the Hispanic! At the Disco. Both drinks were amazing. We also ordered an appetizer of their Smoked Hatch Chili Queso which was delicious in every conceivable way. Additionally, the hostess we first talked to and our waiter were both outstanding. A++ service here. We're definitely going to come back next time we're in the area.

There were several employees that saw us just standing there, but we still waited there for 5 mins before someone told the girl from outside to take us to our table. We were finally seated. Then guy who told the girl to seat us was just standing around d chit chatting with another employees for about 15 minutes before he even came to our table. He never even introduce himself. He just took our order. Another 20 mins came by before our food was served. OUR FOOD WAS ROOM TEMPERATURE. Short Rib was ok. The macaroni was stale and OLD! It was dry and not fresh! We asked for extra BBQ sauce and that didn't arrive for another 15 mins. We had to wave down another employee to try to get the sauce to us. I wouldn't recommend this place! Horrible service. Didn't even come around to see if we needed anything or if everything was good or not. We came here around 1:30pm on 3/16. The restroom was also out of paper towels and soap from the soda dispenser. Poor quality food! Glad I tried it, so I know to not come back again!

Honestly, it almost makes me feel guilty that I don't come by more often! Recently, I saw a review about an incident involving a customer and one of the people who work here, so I feel compelled to speak up. If you come across any negative review about anyone here at the bar, I can confidently say it does not reflect the people I--and many others--have experienced. In all my visits, I've never once seen her or the staff handle anything with anything less than professionalism and kindness. As a patron, one of the main reasons I keep coming back to Maple Block is because of the people. The staff creates such a welcoming, positive atmosphere, which really stands out--especially in an area where you can occasionally encounter challenging situations. Take any negative reviews with a grain of salt and urge you to go see for yourself!!!! Maple Block has consistently been a great experience for me, and I highly recommend stopping by. 10/10 will come again

I usually go with the Angus beef rib (soy tare) and toro beef (soy tare), and the combo comes with rice, salad, and miso soup. At $15.95 (before tax), it's a great value for two meat options. Another thing I like -- though it might not be for everyone -- is that you get to cook your own meat. I prefer my meat done a certain way, so it's nice having that control, and everyone can cook it to their own preference. One downside is that service can be slow during lunch hours, as they often seem understaffed.

The place is somewhat small but does still fit a good number of people inbetween various booth and table sizes filled with grills in them. The staff were very quick and efficient and the food was pretty good overall. I got the beyond beef bowl as a combo. I do wish they let us know about the included miso soup wasn't vegetarian at first because I had to switch it for the seaweed salad later but at least the staff were very accommodating. I guess the negative would be is it felt like a "rushed" experience and the food didn't blow me away. But compared to everything with roast costs, I still think it's pretty decent and they have a good "happy hour".
