I bought a longboard off of Amazon earlier this year. I guess you could say that I am going through a midlife crisis. After about a week of using it, I decided it was time to get a high quality longboard and searched for a shop near my area. I found out about Stoked rideshop and continued to browse their site for around 2 weeks until I decided to drop by. The shop was a little hard to find but I ended up finding it. It's a warehouse at the end of a nice business complex area. I was greeted by Chris and Dave. I explained that I am a noobie looking for an upgrade from my Amazon longboard that my son kept taking from me. They gave me a couple options and I ended up buying a Landyachtz switchblade 38inch. While I was there, I ended up buying some bushings and some 85mm Orangutan caguama wheels so I can fiddle around and setup my board at home. They did not pressure me into anything, actually they had recommended another longboard below my budget but I wanted to go for something known for quality even if It meant spending more. The premises and actual warehouse was super clean and laid back. There are so many things to look at and buy. I ended up going back here 2 more times to buy a Landyachtz dinghy and evo 40. I heard great things about their online ordering, shipping, and customer service. Guess what? Going there in person is way better and it you are local of willing to drive, I guarantee you will leave with a smile on your face :) I am stoked to come back here in the future and love the longboards I purchased from here. My nephews, kids, and even my wife love taking my boards out. Sometimes leaving me with nothing to use. I only wish they would open on Saturday, but I understand these guys need the weekend to spend with family and shred the gnar haha read more

In store: Recently I came in store for some items & the cashier person who helped me was very nice. He stayed on the phone with me until I found the place because it was a bit hard to locate. The shop isn't too hard to find it's in a business plaza. The entrance is their warehouse door so walk through the gate. They guys working were super friendly one was David I believe. Unfortunately, I am too far away from this shop to visit them in person, so this is a review of their customer service and online shop. I recently got a new longboard deck and need to complete the set up, but also don't have a ton of money to spend. Stoked Skateboards was recommended more than a few times on the longboarding forums, so I figured I'd check them out. I browsed their site and they certainly have some good prices. They also allow more options when it comes to the way you can purchase things. For example, most places sell wheels in sets of 4, no exceptions. With Stoked, you can buy a single wheel. Not sure why you'd want to, but you can. I guess this could come in handy for people looking to customize their style by buying the same exact wheel in different colors. Their customer service via e-mail was outstanding. I asked for some recommendations on less expensive slide wheels, and their customer service rep wrote back with a ton of suggestions, including a slightly used set of prototype wheels they were willing to offer me for cheap. They also do $20 sets of Mystery Wheels (used). I haven't ordered any yet, so I can't speak to the condition and brands that you might receive, but it doesn't seem like they'd send out junk either. The other thing that is cool, is you can earn Stoked Points for various things, which you can use to apply a discount to your total when making an order. You get some points just for signing up, and can earn more by making purchases, writing reviews, and "liking" various products and pages they have up. Uhh, so I got my longboard from here and I thought they were average.The one thing that really peeved me and was that when it was ready to get picked up, the guy calls me and leaves a voicemail and says I can get it.So I call this guy again,saying that I got his message and that I'd be glad to pick it up at a specific date. 100 calls later, no one is still reply to my calls. So, when I was just like wth, I'll just show up and pick it up. Turns out they were still on a winter break. Do not order anything online from Stoked Skateboards (stokedskateboards.com). This company is a scam and a half, and is guaranteed to give you an instant migraine and a lot of remorse. Summary of my experience: 11/5: Ordered a longboard from stokedskateboards.com (The worst decision I could have possibly made). 11/6: Receive an e-mail from Justin at stokedskateboards.com stating that the longboard would be shipped on that day or the next. Assured me that I would have the board before the weekend. 11/8: Fedex site shows no tracking information. I called Fedex, and the agent states that the package has not yet been shipped. I called Stoked Skateboards (Justin), and he again stated that the longboard has already been shipped and is in transit. Today (11/9): There is still no tracking information on Fedex, so I called them again. The Fedex representative stated that the package *had* been shipped but missed the tracking scans, and stated that it was in a Fedex van somewhere in cali (a place where it wasn't supposed to be), let me know that it was supposed to be delivered yesterday, and requested that I have the shipper (Stoked Longboards) contact them to resolve the shipping issue. So, I call Justin at Stoked, ask him to call FedEx, and he calls me back a few minutes later and tells me the representative verified that the package is on its way. Five hours later, I call Fedex again.. the rep states that the package hasn't been sent. I ask to speak with his manager.. she tells me it hasn't been sent, either. I have her call Justin, she puts me on hold for a few minutes, then tells me she spoke with Justin and he verified that the package HAS NOT BEEN SHIPPED YET. I ask her if I can have the shipping expedited and am told only the shipper can do so.. so I had her call him back and after being placed on hold again she tells me that the shipper is not willing to expedite the shipping. So I call Justin.... out of nowhere he starts going off about how they didn't ship the longboard yet because he wanted to make sure that it was OK if they used a black truck instead of a silver one, he claimed to have called me to ask but says that the call was dropped, and then claims to have called 3 times after and says I never answered. I spoke with Justin almost every day since the board was first ordered, and every time we spoke he stated that the longboard was already shipped out. It wasn't until Fedex called him directly to question him that he was willing to admin they hadn't shipped diddly-squat, and once this was out in the open he comes up with that random BS about trying to call me because they didn't have the right color Bennet 5.0 truck (absolutely none of which is true). I instantly called him out on his BS (which, after every conversation we had had until this point, was something he quickly stopped trying to claim), and he's like "Well, it will definitely be shipped out today man". When I told him I would like the shipping expedited, he said he couldn't do that. ME: "I could walk to Fedex right now and have a package delivered to your location before 8 oclock today, so why aren't you able to do the same?" Fail Justin (stokedskateboards.com): "So you want me to overnight it to you?" ME: "After you flat out lied to me all week claiming to have already shipped the longboard, yes, that is exactly what I expect you to do" Fail Justin (stokedskateboards.com): "Well, that would cost $120, so I'm not going to do that". ME: "Fine, please cancel the order and refund my purchase" ::ANGER:: All I wanted to do was cruise, and if I had ordered a longboard from any other website I would have been carving and pumping the roads days ago, but because I ordered a longboard from stoked skateboards, I have wasted hours of my time and am left with absolutely nothing.
