I stumbled upon this place when I was looking for a winery to visit that clearly was OK with children visiting. I went with my mom and 9-month old daughter on Mother's Day. When we arrived, I realized I made the reservation for the wrong day! Nonetheless, they were so gracious to accommodate us even on the holiday. The whole experience was literally perfect - food was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxing, the staff were so warm and welcoming, and the grounds were beautiful ! I do love this place. Good wine nice selection. Love the indoor and outdoor seating. It a peaceful view and property to sit or wall around. The food has been good however its very inconsistent. Ive ordered the same things twice because the first time it was so good and the second time it wasnt even recognizable. MEDFORD: Stokelan Winery is on a picturesque property with a historic grand farmhouse, shaded outdoor seating, and an elegant food and wine menu to make an enjoyable day out. Leashed dogs are allowed at their outdoor space and the host will guide you to the right spot! There are 6 wines to enjoy by the glass or a bottle for your group. There is also sangria and frose. We had the "Andrew's Selection" flight which was a tasting of 5 wines. The Catspaw was delicious, a white wine that is lightly sweet and easy to drink. The food menu includes nice appetizers to share and main dishes including flatbreads and sandwiches. There is live music almost every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the summer (check the schedule on their website). The entire staff from our server, to hosts, to the runners were all incredibly friendly and gave Brie a lot of attention. Attened a wedding there a week ago. The wedding itself was beautiful but there were accessibility issues for guests. The wedding venue was not easily accessible for guests requiring a wheelchair. The gravel driveway and 1+ foot drop from the pathed path to where the ceremony and cocktail hour was located was not accessible at all. The floor in the wedding tent was uneven and, where I was sitting, had large divots under the ground covering making it an uneven surface to walk on. Members of my family were heavily involved in the movement and placement of our disabled family member when it shouldn't have been an issue. Accessible bathrooms were not clearly called out and it wasn't until the night was over that we realized there was an accessible bathroom in a separate building down a poorly lit path. We had called in advance to inquire about accessibility. We were assured it was wheelchair and walker accessible but it clearly was not and I'm not sure why the person overseeing the event didn't notice these challenges family invoked in the wedding party was dealing with. read more

The winery was very pretty nothing crazy for Christmas other than white lights but nice location. It was our first time there right before Christmas and the issue that we had was twofold. One was that since we were there for the first time and wanted to sample wines we would've liked to have done a wine tasting and no idea why they would suspend wine tasting, especially on a day where they had a special event until 8 PM. I would think you would have wine tasting all the time and never cancel them. The other issue was that they also advertised there was food trucks, yet there was only one food truck with Mexican food. They said that they generally have food but during the special event. their kitchen was closed. They didn't even sell cracker or something non perishable, which most wineries have. Lastly, I would say that if you're having a special event until 8 PM, then have some sort of entertainment/music. Very disappointing after driving 40 mins to get there. read more

This is a newer winery that is quietly tucked away in the woods of Medford. It is a smaller winery that the owner prefers to keep that way. Please note that this is a drier tasting winery that does serve tapas. Upon driving up to the winery, you will see the house looking structure in right in front of you, along with the outdoor seating to the right of the house. AS you walk up to the wrap around porch, you will be greeted & seated in the location you prefer. We sat outside (we went @ end of summer in Oct) on the porch and gazed upon all of the other outdoor seaters. We did do Andrew's Selection with 5 different wines. I chose the "sweetest" wines. For the flatbread, we chose the Arugula & Proscuitto. I am a sweet wine drinker (Moscato, Reisling, etc.) so the wines that I tried were not overly. They weren't bad, I believe that people who prefer drier wines will be overjoyed with these wines. The wines were hearty & bold. Even the Chardonnay was a bit on the heavier side for me. The 1 I least liked was Kirby's Mill. Def too heavy for me. Simla wasn't bad & Myra wasn't too too dry but drier than I would like. Crossroads was also not too bad. The bread & goat cheese was divine & sooooo fresh! But it did take a lil bit to have that brought out to us once ordered. Our server was ok, she wasn't as attentive & didnt come over as much. Later in the afternoon, it did actually start to downpour so luckily we were @ the tail end of our tasting, but we still had to take cover . SO we ran inside as the rain was really coming down, even on the porch. Everyone was kind of scattered but the staff was trying their best to put everyone in a location to suit them. THat's when we got to take a look @ inside the tasting room. The inside was nice and the inside seating was filled pretty quickly. The seating was pretty close to each other to where you could say it is "cozy" on the inside. This winery is a gem to visit aside from the other major wineries. The selection of wines is a small variety but they have just begun and are trying different things. It is also up your alley if you like drier, full bodied wines. The service was ok but I think it could have been better with our server. I think the pricing is moderate, probably in line with most other wineries. The place is small, cute, & quaint. I went to Stokelan winery on a chilly fall November day and sat in their outside tent. The tent was very spacious and they even had live music. If you don't want to sit outside, they have plenty of options inside. Stokelan winery offers wine flights, wine by the glass, and by the bottle. I highly suggest doing one of their flights so that way you can try multiple different kinds of wine to figure out what you like. I did enjoy their wines and they are more on the drier side. Not only do they have wine but they also serve food! They have multiple different options to choose from so you will not go hungry. I had their charcuterie board and it was good. Stokelan Winery hosted my organization's social event. While I was not involved in the selection of the venue, Stokelan Winery was ultimately a great venue to socialize and enjoy some time with the co-workers. Our event was in December around the holiday season, so the grounds around Stokelan Winery was very much adorned and decorated as such making it even more wonderous. Arriving in the evening we weren't able to really grasp and take in the full wonder of the scenery on the estate, but it was still a marvelous sight to behold with the strung up lights around the structures and trees. The simple, yet magnificent farmhouse structure presents itself on the main drive onto the property, which is a pleasant change from common suburban jungle found in much of New Jersey, especially if you're coming from up North. It is definitely a reminder of the agricultural roots of our State - for the need to preserve this culture and these areas from overdevelopment. There is an ample lot along the main drive up to the establishment, which offers parking within a decent walk to the tasting room found in the farmhouse. The gorgeous wrap around deck of the house offers way to the entrance located on the right side of the house if you're looking at it from the lot. There are a good amount of outdoor tables and chairs scattered about the property enabling patrons to enjoy the outdoors whilst partaking in the offerings at the venue; in the winter, this includes a few fire pits to warm to soul while you're coddled up with beverage in hand. The entire staff, from those indoors to those that hosted us and served in our own private tent, was super great and pleasant. They were incredibly helpful in making selections and recommendations for drinks. The food was also phenomenal. I must also point out that the charcuterie board that was developed and presented at our event was arguably one of the biggest, most beautifully displayed boards I've seen - almost too beautiful and majestic to eat if you ask me. Coming from central Virginia where there were a ton of vineyards and returning to my home state of New Jersey, Stokelan Winery was the first true winery that we visited. It is nice to see New Jersey making its name amongst the nation's wine producers with Stokelan Winery producing some great products in their name. Overall, a great establishment that is worth your time and partaking. read more

Apparently this is a newly opened winery. I loved the property and the people. It's beautiful. Indoor and outdoor seating. They aren't BYOF. They do have a food menu. We did the tasting flight - all of their 5 wines for $18. I'm not a huge jersey wine person but I really enjoyed two. The rose and the Kirby's mill red. Loved the atmosphere!!! We had a little incident with the food but it was taken care of. I don't want to get too much into it but the menu didn't match the actual food which was a problem with my food allergies. The descriptions didn't match what they served. It was handled very well!!!! read more

This winery is a hidden GEM tucked away in Medford farmland! It has ample outdoor dining along with indoor dining, and it would be a great place to host an event. They had a playground outside for the kids, and the grounds were just beautiful. There are mainly light bites to eat here, but the wine is reasonably priced, particularly the flights! The "No Utensils Required" was a plate of different cheeses, meats, fruits, and more that was great to snack on. The best part was probably the limoncello cake, which was perfectly rich and creamy without being too sweet. Our server was prompt and super sweet. The only thing we missed out on was the frozen rose, which is only served on Fridays, so we'll have to come back on a Friday. read more

Pleasant setting but poor quality wine. We visited Stokelan Winery on a lovely Saturday afternoon in October. Unlike most wineries that I have visited, your visit begins at the hostess stand where you are directed to a table for table service. There is no outside food allowed. The winery has plenty of outdoor seating spread out in many different sections of the property. There were two musicians playing acoustic covers of popular songs during our visit. I tried the Andrews selection and the pear flatbread. The pear flatbread was served warm and was pretty tasty with the bites of pear providing a great complement to the rest of the flatbread. The Andrews selection allowed me to try six of their wines. I was disappointed with all six. The rose was the most drinkable, but even the rose was worse than what I'm used to. I was particularly disappointed based on the other positive reviews, but I understand the limits of the region when it comes to wine production. Overall, I would not recommend Stokelan Winery even though it is a nice property for sitting outside. read more

Such a nice local winery!! Located in Medford.... beautiful location... beautiful house! Went on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed sitting outside in the patio area. It was a nice fall afternoon... had the fire pits going... it was very cozy! There are plenty of seating options.. you can make reservations or walk right in. On their website it says it's recommended to make reservations and although there was a lot of available seating options both indoor and outdoor, i can see it getting packed! Service was a bit on the slower side but everyone is short staff these days.... so sit back, be patient and enjoy the ambience! Wines Now they only had 6 wines.. but they were all fantastic! I posted a pic with the wines they have available... but my favorite was the Simla which is a Bordeaux style red wine! Food Gotta get their food while stopping in!!! The chef is amazing and always changing based on what's in season. Very fresh and great quality foods! Our sandwich was suppose to come with soup but they ran it... bummer but even the chips and Aioli dip they gave was sooo good. Definitely a great place to stop by and try! read more

My wife and I Stopped by on a Friday after 5pm to check it out and the place was a little busy but very quiet crowd. You can pick where you want to sit, either porch, front lawn or side yard. There was a chill musician playing all different songs on the porch giving it a cool vibe. Service was very very slow and we weren't even given napkins. It took forever for food and wine to come. We tried the flight , they only have 6 wines and it was just ok. We ordered a bottle of wine and they didn't even put ice in the wine container. The food was good but took forever. We got the flatbread and charcuterie board. I would have taken a picture of the food but It took so long to come out my wife yelled at me to eat before it got cold. read more

First time visit to this new local winery! Everything exceeded expectations. The ambiance, wait staff, WINE, food and prices were all excellent. The property is gorgeous and the interior is modern and chic but warm and inviting. We sat in the library room and enjoyed the Andrew flight which included a tasting of every wine on the menu. We were extremely happy with each wine. The food was fresh and delicious with generous portions. After closing our tab indoors, we were able to finish our glass of wine in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the corn fields and sunflower field. Such a pleasant experience at this new local gem. Such a cute, unsuspecting home for a winery! I love their backstory, their upgraded decor and interior in the old house, and their overall aesthetic. Service was a little slow and had us waiting very long for a check once it got further into the afternoon. Best to go early! Plenty of food selections and their small but mighty wine selections are truly superb. We bought a few bottles afterward for a fair price. Definitely a great spot for the transitional times of the year to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine! Haven't been back since but I would assume they have outdoor heaters. read more

The wine is actually reasonably good not gonna change your life but a pleasant surprise given that it's Medford, New Jersey not the Napa Valley tried the Burrata flatbread and it was amazing. Beautiful setting with lots of outdoor seating as well as some indoor seating. We sat under a large tent where live music was playing. (Suggest they roll up the wall on one side of the tent to let a breeze go through. It was stifling inside and the four fans they had were all pointed to one half of the room - not the half we were in.) Live music is nice but a bit over the top when you can't hear a normal conversation. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Small but tasty selection of wines. Sangria was good, but served in plastic cups, which kind of works against the vibe. Waitstaff is young and friendly but could use some training and experience. Our last meal arrive a full five minutes after our first. Overall a very good place that with more operational experience will be great. I'll go again and recommend it to others. read more

What an absolute lovely setting! Definitely should be a go to when you want to sit outside on a pleasant night under large shade trees. Fire pits were scattered around but not needed when we were there. The wine is produced onsite with some of the grapes grown there. More vines have been planted but not producing yet. We enjoyed the flight of 5 wines. All were good, dry wines-not sweet like some NJ wineries. I prefer the dry wine. They were a little light, not full bodied but very drinkable! My favorite was the Rose' which was perfect for sitting outside enjoying such a pleasant night. The food was a light fare with shareable portions and all delicious! We had 2 flatbreads, the goat cheese & bread and the individual charcuterie. My favorite was the goat cheese with excellent crusty bread. We were told they often have music on the weekends.
