So excited for this place in downtown Lake Zurich! Walked over this morning and got a chi tea latte and apple coffee cake and both were fantastic. Love this place!! Such a great local coffee shop in Lake Zurich. I highly recommend grabbing the garden rocket on a croissant- so delicious!! My other go to is a vanilla oat milk latte. Prices aren't posted but for the same price as Starbucks you get better food and better coffee! read more

I love this place. The vibes are great and I love supporting a local business. I also love how they carry a lot of local goodies in the store like honey and other artisanal products. Only reason I did 4/5 stars is because the matcha latte is an attack on matcha lovers everywhere. It is extremely diluted. It is also a bit pricey. Here's my "double" matcha latte. This coffee house opened up yesterday. I stopped by since I was buying some meat from the butcher next door. The pumpkin latte was good. I will have to sample the baked goods in the future. They bake the muffins and scones in-house. The other baked goods are brought in daily. read more

Understaffed, plan on waiting in line or for your drink. Same person working the register is also working the bar and making smoothies, this doesn't work. Overhead music is often too loud for conversation and listening to commercials ruins the vibe. Drinks and food are good though and the lighting and seating is comfortable - just needs to improve in other areas. read more

I stepped into the stomping ground just before Christmas and found some fabulous gifts. Amazing teas, Natural herbal remedies, And delicious smoothies. I had the chocolate maca, it was so delicious! Nice place. Decent service. The smoothie I got--the dreamsicle-- tasted like nothing; as if someone had blended paper, a drop of orange juice and ice. Their turtle cheesecake was way too rich: way too much butter, sugar and caramel, so to my taste, it was basically inedible. We went there yesterday with a couple friends - the first time we've been inside anywhere for a long time. First, the coffee is amazing. We both got lattes (also they have oat milk!) and it was DELICIOUS. The perfect strength and the syrups weren't sugary sweet/wasn't over flavored. It is right across from the park, so in nicer weather I can see myself grabbing coffee and either sitting by the lake or playing with my daughter. My husband had a bagel and he said it was very fresh and it looks like they have an array of items including donuts. 10/10 honestly, wish it was closer to my house I would literally go there every day. I was so excited to FINALLY have the opportunity to try Stompin Grounds Cafe. I had been wanting to visit them for months, and finally had a chance this morning in between appointments. I was not disappointed! The atmosphere is adorable, and I was instantly greeted upon entering by a lovely young lady. I expressed how excited I was to try a coffee drink, and she immediately started making suggestions and asking what my likes and dislikes were. I decided on the honey lavendar latte (can't recall the exact name) and I was blown away.... It was WAY better than anything I had ever had at the large coffee chains. DELICIOUS! The prices are somewhat high, but the ingredients are obviously very high quality, and the tastes were wonderful. I will gladly spend a little extra for a great drink. I would say their prices are on par with Starbucks, but much much better. I can't wait to return and try some sweet treats.. I also loved how the cafe is also a little shop. I browsed around while waiting for my drink, and I could have purchased several items, and will probably return and buy a necklace I was eyeing. As a small business owner myself, I love to support local small businesses, and these guys do not let down. Please give them a try, they are such a welcome addition to our struggling downtown. read more

Our first time here today. Grabbed coffee, tea and pastries to go. The trendiest place I can think of in Lake Zurich- in a good way! I'm so excited we finally have an independent coffee shop. Such nice decor and vibe, I can't wait until we can eat in. I had the chai latte- homemade brewed with spices, not from a mix. It's the real deal and delicious. We had a scone and croissant. They were high quality- they source them from other bakeries and bake some off in store. Lots of local, unique, trendy food products for sale. The service was friendly and comfortable. Me and my wife ordered two sandwiches. The sore was busy and her sandwich came within a respectable time. We waited some time and then inquired about mine to the barista. He checked on it and said they are starting to work on it. Long after my wife was done eating the girl from the kitchen brought mine. I inquired what took so long and she said the Barista had given mine to another customer and scooted off. No apologies. After biting into the sandwich I determined it was not what I had ordered but probably what the other person ordered. By that time my wife was ready to go so I just ate what was planted IN front of me. On the way out I told the Barista and the cashier what had happened. The response was oh. Not apologies. The Barista seemed overwhelmed with all the orders and not very friendly. I told him that I was not happy and would be telling my experience on Yelp or any other online venues. Once again no response. You can look forward to my online reviews like I look forward to your crappy server ice.
