Cute spot! I tried one of their rum cocktails, and it was very tasty. They have a rather large cocktail menu with all of their spirits. Drinks are $15 and up. Free popcorn. Yay! Service was decent. Definitely check them out.

The service is absolutely amazing! They give the best drink recommendations and have great live music. Been coming here for little over two years and love seeing Chloe work her magic behind the bar. By far the best bartending service I could ever ask for. The place is constantly full of life and good music. Definitely worth it to come and support a local business with in-house distilled drinks! (For real, all the drinks are made in house even the syrups!!)

Stopped by Copper Fiddle for a cocktail with family. We ordered a round of drinks. This visit, I was not overly impressed with the uniqueness of the drinks on menu and quality of service like last visit. I was sad to see there weren't any seasonal specials. They did offer us complimentary popcorn but our visit was cut short by live music entertainment that took over the noise levels of the front bar. Since we couldn't hear each other anymore, we finished our drinks and left. I left feeling bummed.

Love this place and staff beyond 5-stars! They've outdone themselves with the new menu. Fryen gin is a must try if you're a spicy cocktail fan. Music provided the perfect weekend vibe as well.

A true distillery in Lake Zurich? What? Run, don't walk. You need to try this place. Don and Andrew spent time talking to us about their products and menu. They use sugar in the raw (aka demerara) They also do a level four in their barrels of bourbon. Found out about this place by word of mouth. How did we not know about it before? They make their own bourbon, rum (gold and silver), and I think gin. Covid: everybody wears a mask unless you are drinking; Social distancing; several tables and chairs spread out in their back room. Place your order from your table. They will bring you your drinks. I like how they pour glasses of water upon arrival. Don't forget to grab a bag of popcorn all complimentary. Very nice! Hubby tried their old fashioned and I tried their mai tai and espresso martini. All delicious. We will be back for sure.

We came out early evening to try this place and we were very pleased. They have a small entryway but a larger seating room behind the counter. I ordered an Old Fashioned and it was great! It was the best Old Fashioned I ever had. As we sat in the sitting room a person brought us small bags of popcorn (NEVER had that in any other distillery). My wife had a Mai Tai and loved their recipe. The prices are reasonable for a very high quality drink. We met Andrew and were so impressed. We will be back again.

Had my son's rehearsal dinner at Copper Fiddle! They were soooooo accommodating and went out of their way to make the event extra special! Staff was attentive and fun and the owner is amazing! Everything turned out perfect and a good time was had by all!!!

What a fun place! I went to watch my daughter do a quick practice before their Friday night open mic and ended up staying for some fun and great music! My daughter and her ukulele-playing accompanists stayed to perform. And what a surprise when I saw my own bass-playing significant other up on the stage wearing a borrowed bass guitar playing with some people we didn't know! The cocktails were amazing! The service was great and that free popcorn was a very nice touch! I was sure to grab a bottle of their awesome small-batch craft vodka for a gift for a client!

My Meetup group just did the distillery tour and tasting here this past Saturday and we had a blast! The signature cocktails are amazing (who knew you could make mules with bourbon?!) and the "tour" was so fascinating and informational. And can I just say, that I HATE gin, but their gin is so good, I left with a bottle of their Fyren Gin. Seriously, book your $10 tour/tasting and come back another night for some live music. This place is awesome and I can't wait to have another event here ... maybe for a bartending class? (because they offer that too). Seriously, Copper Fiddle can take my money anytime.

I've been wanting to visit this distillery for a while and decided to come here on a whim. I visited with my significant other on a Saturday afternoon. The parking lot is not very large, but parking was not a problem. We walked in and we were the only ones in the bar as there was a distillery tour was going on and that's where everyone was. Copper Fiddle has a wide variety of cocktails for $9. I believe there was around 16. My significant other ordered a cocktail and I ordered a flight of their spirits to sample each of them. I enjoyed all of them. The Serrano pepper "Fyren Gin" was the most memorable as it is different from many other liquors with the heat it packed. All of the cocktails were delicious. They also have a nice cocktail happy hour as well during the work week. The other plus was the complimentary popcorn to go with the different drinks. Our mixologist was very nice and told us about the business and the history of Copper Fiddle. The drinks were excellent as well. Overall, I will definitely be back here in the future.

To the right is an Old fashion! It was delicious !

Such a great little gem in Lake Zurich. The cocktails always impress! A bit on the higher end cost wise, but the cocktails are so good.

Wouldn't recommend the vodka drinks. They taste like potatoes, like the vodka wasn't distilled enough.

There were a few quirks with the soft opening, like limited menu flexibility which was a bummer when it was due to dietary restrictions. However, our waitress was super friendly and accommodating in searching for answers of what was possible from the kitchen. Overall folks seemed happy with food. Husband loved his fried chicken that had nice, thick bacon on top. Fries were hot and salted nicely. Truffle fries weren't much different than regular fries in flavor with just a subtle seasoning on top. Salad was a miss with only 3-4 small pieces of chicken on top. For $19, the execution and portion size could be improved greatly.

The warm lighting made the room feel welcoming and inviting. The Bavarian Pretzel was very stale. I was excited about the dipping cheese and cinnamon butter but was disappointed the pretzel was rock hard, opposite of what I was anticipating. The Chicken tenders came out looking burnt and cooked in old oil. We expressed our concern to the waitstaff, and they were kind enough to bring us another batch. On the contrary, the flatbread and sous-vide wings and Pork shanks were cooked perfectly. Robust in flavor, tender in texture and quite filling. I would definitely return just for the pork shanks!

That said, one of our friends is a foodie like me and loved the menu with plenty of seafood options and he found it challenging to select something as it all looked so good. We started with appetizers of Fire Shrimp, Octopus and Jumbo Crab Cake. We all shared and was absolutely amazing! My wife ordered the Lobster and Shrimp Pasta which she had the week before. Last time it came with a little heat, but this time was a little bland for her but was still very flavorful (so somewhat confusing). FYI the lobster comes in two halved pieces w/ shell (a miniature lobster, not meal sized one) For me, the apps were not enough. I ordered Rice Élan Style w/ 4 Sea Scallops (Arborio rice, butter, sun-dried tomato, spinach, citrus blend, parmigiano reggiano). This was really good and the scallops were so flavorful. I also ordered the Lobster Mac & Cheese. Yes, I was hungry. It was a generous portion and includes chunks of lobster, not like other places where we are searching for where the lobster is hiding. Service was amazing as usual. I expect nothing less. Since it was my foodie friend's first time, they gave him a gift card for a free bruschetta app next time he comes in. It is dimly lit. It not dark as every table has small touch lights. So, apologies for the pics as they may be a little dark. Certainly looking forward to next time!

I'm a big fan of this concept with comfortable seating in a spacious restaurant, plenty of parking,…read moregreat presentation, friendly service, and attractive decor. Compared to similar restaurants in this space, I prefer to go here with friends for its generally quieter atmosphere and overall vibe. Maybe the biggest complaint here is that the food preparation can be a bit inconsistent between dishes, and between different meat types. That is, that the output can range from delicious to somewhat average (and sometimes overcooked), depending on what you order. For example the birria was super flavorful and served with very crisp tacos and a delicious consomme, but the cilantro-lime rice and refried beans felt like an afterthought. The smoked pork belly quesadillas had a great flavor and just about the right amount of fattiness that was short of perfection due to the pork being overcooked. The tres leches cake also had a great creaminess and flavor to it, but parts of the cake weren't really soaked in the milk at all, which created an inconsistent experience - depending on where I took the bite. On everything I tried though, the presentation was excellent and there were enough great things about each dish to overcome some of the shortfalls. Overall though, I feel with improved execution on ensuring that all elements of the dishes are equally good in terms of texture and flavor -- there's a lot to love about Ancho & Agave. But even in its current state, it's still an enjoyable spot to take a group of friends for tasty food in an impressive looking spot.

When we told our name for our reservation we were told it was going to be about 10 more minutes- even though the restaurant was half full. I was super confused because the entire bar was open and there were at least 10-12 open tables. The person checking us in goes "what you've never had that happen before?" - referring to having to wait for a table - SO incredibly off-putting and condescending. I told her she was being rude and she got defensive and giving us all these excuses- that the kitchen was backed up, etc. We immediately walked out. We were fine with the waiting but the way this employee handled things was insane. The way this should have been handled, and how it's handled in hundreds of other restaurants we've been to is: offer to sit us at the bar or ask if we want to get seated and then tell us there's a back up. or even say "I'm so sorry" Like at least show SOME hospitality. I emailed the location to say all of the above, and they did offer to send us something in the mail, but I will not be accepting.
