I've been to Stone Brewery in San Diego, so when I saw a nearby company store near our hotel, we decided to stop in for a sampler. My guy and I love to start off with a couple samples, so we can try out whatever is new or different. I love the Stone Delicious and Tangerine Express IPA. The delicious has a lemony fresh IPA taste and the Tangerine is citrusly refreshing as well. I loaded up on the hot sauces, as they don't last long in my house. In addition to the Arogant Bastard and Punishment Hot Sauces, they have a green Sriracha that I picked up as well. Love the condiments! Came during covid. Currently (13 Sep 20) on their Yelp page it says they don't fill growlers. This hasn't been updated. They totally do. They only do takeout for beer right now, so you'll have to bring your own g(c)rowler or buy one of theirs. If you bring your own, make sure you check their site on restrictions or call them if you're not sure. Everything is through your phone now. You show up, scan a barcode, make a selection, hand over your growler and then pay. Then they hand back your growler and you're on your way. Not sure if this is covid prices or not, but I got my 64oz crowler filled for about $13!!! With tip, I paid about $15. That's a crazy price. I don't know how they stay in business in Pasadena on that price. And of course the beer is super fresh and tasty. read more

First off I want to say that the service was amazing. Super friendly, bartenders, and very knowledgeable as well. I almost rated it a three star because of the environment. Super bright lights are not very conducive to chilling out and having a beer. The place is kind of sterile and boring. Could use some thing to do like corn hole or something like that. Stone is still one of my favorite breweries. First time at this location even though they have been here for years. Located inside of the train station plaza. Parking is underground, free for 90 minutes. Small tap room. Busy on Fridays. People are in and out all day with growler fills. Decent amount of seating and standing space inside. Service was great and friendly from the manager. He was really nice. Our bartender was meh, she messed up my growler fill and started giving us attitude afterwards. They have a beer bottles and cans for sale. Small little shop as well, better clothes then San Marcos. I like the Dodgers colored stuff. Flights - $3 each pour - Build your own. 4 oz each. The beers I got were good. Pints - $5ish - Depends on the beer you pick. Growler - $25 - You get a glass growler and a fill. Might cost more depending on what you fill it with. They have been amazing! Especially during the Stay at Home order. We order through Doordash and not only is it still ice cold when we get it, they are all bottled/canned perfectly and they still add the special touch of a sticker and coaster with the order. We were disappointed we can't enjoy the Enjoy By 4/20 or Enjoy By 7/04 at the actual Tap Room but it's awesome that we still get to try the new releases from while at home! It all started well. Nice place, good beer. but when you tell me the merch is 10.00 more than marked (on all of them) we have a problem. Great outdoor seating area conveniently located next to a pizza place. We were here last Saturday and they had a pop up BBQ stand around lunch time - what a great combo beer and lunch. Went by to pick up a specialty beer as a gift - USC Fight On Pale Ale. I'm handicapped, using a walker for mobility. When I got there, found the elevator to the store was out of order. I trudged up four flights of stairs to get to the store. When I entered, a management person, Johnny, was very helpful. He carried my purchase to the register, rang it up. Then carried it and my walker to my car in the parking structure. That was way above and beyond the call of duty and was exceptional customer service! read more

Unless you already know that Stone is here, I'm not sure how anybody would know otherwise. It's practically invisible and should be called Stone Stealth Tap Room. They have no signage on the outside anywhere. Nothing to indicate "Stone Brewing Tap Room" nothing posted on their door or window either. Just a tiny little A framed chalkboard sign. With no sign, most people passing by this place have no idea it's here or even what it is. Must be the City of Pasadena and their ridiculous sign ordinances. Either that or the actual property owners won't allow any signs on the building. In any case, it's crazy dumb especially when the business is all about foot traffic coming through the door. The good news is... we're sitting outside on patio relaxing. Beautiful weather right now. My wife is loving her Tropic of Thunder and Little Hammer beer flight. I'm drinking a pint of my usual Stone Delicious IPA. These guys really do make some great beer and for that I give them five stars. Zero stars for the lack of exposure of this location. If you are a craft beer drinker, hate it or love it, you already know about Stone. If you are just starting to dabble, starting with Stone is the equivalent of jumping into the deep end with just some floaties. But then you are rewarded with big, bold, hoppy flavors that have a mix of articulate flavors & noses that make you wonder/question what you've been drinking in the past. LA is more of a wine and cocktail town, but in the past few years the beer scene has slowly made it's move with the new wave of gastropubs, beer bars and local breweries. Now, the latest and greatest addition to the mix is the Stone Company Store Pasadena located in the Metro stop plaza, next to LGO and Luggage Pizza. Here you can get tasters (4, 8, 16 oz) to enjoy on the patio or growlers to take home in addition to a bunch of merchandise that includes beach towels, t-shirts, soaps and sauces. There are the standard 9 that will always be on tap in addition to a handful of specialty and seasonal brews that will come and go. What a cool place! This place was pretty poppin when I walked in. I came here because I was sold on Shelley Z.'s review and had to try it for myself. They have all the Stone beers. Prices are as follows: 4 oz. is 1.50 8 oz is 3.00 16 oz is 6.00 Basically you order your beer at the register, then walk to the right near the bar area and give the bartender your receipt to fill up your beer. There is a small patio area and some seating inside the store. FYI, you can even order some awesome pizza from Luggage Room and have them drop it off at your table in the Stone Store patio. AWESOMEEEEEEEEEE! FYI you can park in the parking garage for free for 90 mins! YAY FREE PARKING! I love this place!! If you're looking for super fresh IPAs, look no further than Stone. This is my go-to spot before UCLA football games, as their crowlers (canned growlers) are tailgating game changers! I would say that if you're bringing your own growler, call ahead to make sure they'll fill it. From what I understand, they won't fill anything that's branded with another brewery's name (even if you tape over it) or any growler that has a screw top. The Stone Company Store in Pasadena clearly does not need my recommendation, but I will endorse it fully nonetheless :D In particular I enjoy the casual, laid-back nature of this place, and its proximity to Le Grande Orange, The Luggage Room, the Metro station, and Old Town Pasadena in general. Its placement makes it perfect for a late night drink, pre-dinner flight, or a lazy Saturday afternoon get together. Although they don't serve food, you can always order a pizza from The Luggage Room, and they'll walk it right over to you! The two establishments even collaborate sometimes, with drink and food specials happening all at once. Whether you are a longtime fan of Stone, a first-timer, or you simply like drinking tasty beer, this is one tasting room that's always worth a visit. Their regularly-rotating selection of beer makes it fun, and you can buy beer by the six-pack, can, growler, or bomber. Plus it is also a retail store so you can find shirts, hoodies, tanks, and other Stone merch. If I had to choose any drawbacks, I would point out that the parking garage is only good for 1.5 hours, and the space (both inside and out) is rather small. if you want a beer after 9:30 do not come here. We had to park in the parking structure walk upstairs to go to what we thought would be an awesome beer and purchase in the store. Apparently they shut the tap room down at 9:30 p.m. we were asking please at 9:35 and they wouldn't help us. They said we could buy beer to go. We bought a 12 pack of our favorite seltzers we are fans. I asked will you at least tell us a growler? They said sure so if they can sell us The growler in the place is popping and everyone around us is drinking why can't we buy one pint with our 12-pack? Didn't ask them that but that's how I feel. I've worked in the beer industry for many years and I understand if they close at 9:30 but if you can sell a growler why can't you pour a pint for customers that are buying your store to go willingly after parking in a parking structure in in urban environment. I went here to have a couple drinks before going to dinner. I'd been here before but never sat inside. The beer is good and the prices are reasonable. I understand that I'm not their target demographic- middle aged mom and not super into craft beers. But it was still disappointing, the rude and dismissive way that the staff treated me. I wasn't clear on the ordering procedures and I was treated rudely because of my lack of familiarity with their setup. I apologized for my misunderstanding and got in line as I was told to but I was still treated rudely the rest of my time there. read more

Great spot for a low key, after work, mid week brew. I came here to kill some time waiting for a friend. They have a great, extensive selection of beers from ales to IPAs and best of all, it's so cheap!! I got a 10 oz tangerine express IPA for $5 and some change. A guy next to me got a 6 oz pale ale for ~$3. The tangerine express was a light IPA, not super hoppy; would def recommend for IPA noobs like myself. Not much seating inside, but enough standing room around giant barrels which all contribute to the brewery's vibe. There are a couple tables outside which was nice, especially with the afternoon sun. Can't believe I've only recently checked this place out. Definitely gonna be swinging by here more since I'm always at the Luggage Room anyway! read more
