Cute little cafe with lots of indoor space and some patio seating. They have kombucha on tap, a few beers and wines, coffee, breakfast foods, and sandwich and salad type things. They seem to use pretty good ingredients here, and all the food I saw coming out looked good. FOOD: Rosalia's Biscocho - this is pretty much a breakfast biscuit sandwich. The biscuit was decent, but not very buttery or flaky. I didn't taste the cheddar and jalapeño much, but there was lots of other stuff on the sandwich. The "avocado" looked more like guacamole. I didn't notice the mango aioli at all (but that's fine with me). You get a choice of meat (bacon, ham, chorizo, pulled pork, or veggies). I picked chorizo, which was tasty. It had some kind of a spice to it that I couldn't quite place - cinnamon or chocolate maybe? The home fries were good but not super crispy if you prefer crispy potatoes. Overall it was still very tasty and I enjoyed it. For $8.50 it was also a great deal. DRINK: We tried the Mystic Kombucha on tap - the daily flavor was Hibiscus Rose Petal. This was good, but a bit too sweet and could have used a couple of ice cubes. HOT SAUCE: They have bins full of hot sauce for you to grab, which I love. I saw Valentina, Tapatio, original Tabasco, and green Tabasco. OVERALL: Great place to grab lunch or a drink/snack. I've always walked by this place, but never realized this was the place with large portions and great food! The value of the food was great and the prices were super reasonable. I arrived at 1030 am on a Sunday... no line. By 1040, there was a line out the door that took around 10-15 minutes to get through. Stoneway has an order and take a number sort of environment and has both indoor and outdoor seating. Not sure if they do take out outside of COVID, but it seemed to work well. The smells from the kitchen were to die for- I had a hard time deciding what to get on the menu. I had to try their eggs Benedict and it didn't disappoint. The poached eggs were a little over done, but the jalapeño muffin was a nice change up. Home fries were hidden under the muffin, which was a nice surprise. The hollandaise sauce was pretty watery but also tasty. There was an overwhelming amount of bacon and food on my plate, which I enjoyed. Overall, I'll be back to try the other dishes on their menu. Incredibly disappointed. For a place that markets itself as a healthy organic local restaurant it really does not get much worse than this. I paid a little over $19 for a BLT and a kids mac & cheese and about two minutes after ordering I watched the chef reheat the mac & cheese and bacon in a skillet. If you guys want people to pay $11 for a sandwich, at least make it fresh. The mac & cheese was underwhelming to say the least. The cooks seemed like they were trying to cover the lack of taste with high temperatures. It tasted like what it was. Reheated mac & cheese. The BLT was not actually that bad, but it's a little disconcerting to find a small piece of mystery meat that tasted like it had been sitting on the grill for a couple days in your sandwich. After almost throwing up and throwing my food in the trash, I can't say I'll ever come back to this place again. Especially in times like these, good business practices when it comes to preparing your food can really make the difference between a restaurant surviving and going under. Fix your shit. Came here to do some work and enjoy coffee and maybe lunch depending on how long we ended up staying. My wife got a chagaccino and I got an iced latte. We split a blueberry muffin too. We found a spot in their large open dining area to seat, a bit away from the two open doors since it was about 40° and drizzling/raining (we could see our breath, that's how cold it was). The drinks were good, the muffin was pretty great and the service so far was as good as could be. No complaints. After sitting and working for maybe 30 mins one of the employees came but and opened the big roll up door. Another customer jokingly said "you're really trying to get us out of huh? Haha" which was basically ignored. Within a few minutes the temp dropped enough to be intolerable, we were basically sitting outside. I get it the place was full and there were no tables for new customers to sit at, but that wasn't the case at all. At least 1/4 of the seating was still open. But that temp drop made about half the place clear out in the next ten minutes. Including us. If you're not planning on staying or it's not cold then this place is worth checking out...I guess. But pretty sucky they treat their customers that way. Such a delicious, friendly cafe! Huge variety of goodies on the menu from entrees to pastries to coffees and teas. I got the Turkey avocado wrap and it was PACKED full of protein and flavor. We got the Turkey wrap and the Pulled pork this time and the pulled pork was very sauce-y and tasted great but the Turkey wrap was a little dry and not as flavorful. Stone Way Cafe is like your high school girlfriend you've been dating for 7 years -- consistent, always there for a good time, but maybe not what you want to spend the rest of your life with every day. Their menu is ALL delicious, but lacks a tad of diversity.. however it's always a solid, reliable spot for the occasional weekend brunch or late night munchies. For food: Would 100% recommend the pulled pork anything; my favorite are the pulled pork tacos. And don't think Mama Stone Way Cafe holds back on you: the portions are always SO large I usually have to pack away some at the end. For drink: they are one of the only places that serves lavender syrup for espresso drinks. This always puts a pep in my step. For sweets: I love the baked oatmeal that's served on the menu, or the raspberry bar for a lil sumpin sumpin. Stone Way is also a pay at the counter, take a number place, but service is always phenomenal and kind. Their open mic nights are always fun to watch. I paid too much money for it and I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone ever order it again. Eggs Benedict had a good flavor to the hollandaise, but some dumbf*ck poured it all over the inside of the box, which made a total mess of everything and the english muffins gummy and not something I want to eat again. The eggs were overcooked to the point that the yolks were green and powdery. Ham was thick cut. I paid roughly $40-ish. I would recommend the iHop, Tommy's, or Huckleberry Square instead. read more

The chorizo isn't my absolute favorite of all the meat options - it's a little cinnamon-y to me - but everything else is delicious. They're great for a variety of things- they do great coffee and breakfast and can be a nice place to grab something simple and take it to go, but can also be a great place for a sit down lunch / dinner, or can be a lively location to enjoy local artists playing live music! BREAKFAST BURRITO: they give you an option of various meats (pulled pork, sausage, bacon, etc). We went with sausage and bacon and the burrito also came with eggs, potatoes, some tomato-y salsa. It was VERY good albeit heavy as it's all meat/potato. Maybe could have benefited from some avocado or something, bc it was too heavy for me to eat more than half. That said, I am still very much looking forward to my leftovers tomorrow. CUBAN SANDWICH: super juicy pork, slices of ham, pickles, and cheese. Really delicious and came with a generous side salad. This dish impressed me the most as the flavors were very well balanced and the pork was SO juicy! Aside from the food, I've also dropped by to watch open mic night (Tuesdays' and Thursday's) where local artists trying to make it big and non professional musicians can sign up to sing. Stumbled upon this place after Hashtag and was immediately reeled in by their menu and chill vibe. All I wanted during my first visit was a small, strong coffee or espresso with something sweet to go with it. Their cappuccino with Victrola coffee was just what I needed to give me a boost for the rest of the day. Their thumbprint chocolate cookies were flakey good with almond pieces in every bite and rich, smooth chocolate on top. I knew I wanted to return to try something on their menu. I came for breakfast and was torn as to which item to go for. I decided on Rosalia's Biscocho. They also let you choose which meat: bacon, ham, chorizo or pulled pork; all of which sound fantastic, but I went for the bacon. They really stuffed in some crispy, yet non-greasy, but flavorful bacon! They were also generous with the avocado, veggies, and mango aioli sauce. The cheddar and jalapeño biscuit was fluffy and not over powering as well. The homefries were seasoned and cooked to perfection, too. I enjoyed my breakfast listening to the beats and sounds of DJ Shadow, RJD2, Nas, and Mr. Scruff playing in the background while checking out the display of Japanese anime-inspired art work of Hannako Lambert in their spacious seating area. Had lunch here at the recommendation of a colleague here at the boatyard. It was his "favorite" lunch place. Maybe I just missed the highlights. Hubby ordered the fritatta and I had a green side salad topped with what was listed as "smoked" chicken. I did get a very nice size salad -- quite generous if this was a "side" salad -- topped with chicken strips. But, in all the bites I had there was not even a hint of smoke. And, since it's breast, it was predictably dry. Disappointing. What I ended up liking best about the salad was the mixed pickled veggies that, I assume, were supposed to also work as dressing (not quite), but were super flavorful. I did get a bite of my husband's fritatta and that, I found to be rather dry and lacking a lot of flavor. So, I would call this lunch "ok," but nothing spectacular. In their defense, so much of what is on their menu is stuff I'm not eating right now so perhaps I just didn't hit on what they do best. Absolutely love this place. Always take out of town guests here for a quality meal for a great value. Love the quick service and artsy vibe in here! The cheddar jalapeño biscuit on the Rosalia sandwich is buttery and rich. The breakfast burrito I ordered this morning without a tortilla or potato and was still delicious; the staff was so accommodating with the burrito bowl (see photo). I've been to Stone Way Cafe several times before and have always enjoyed their food, which is why leaving this review makes me sad. Today I ordered the breakfast burrito and while it tasted great, I got a big mouthful of egg shells and bones (the thing on the right is a bone). When I alerted the staff, her response was, "we crack our eggs by hand so that just happens sometimes." I then made it clear that I didn't expect anything in return and just wanted them to be aware, but she was not apologetic and just seemed to brush it off. This was not the response I wanted to hear after having such an awful eating experience. I literally had to spit out pieces of shell that I had accidentally chewed and there were more pieces than pictured (this is about half, the rest were discarded with the rest of my chewed food). I understand that mistakes happen but it would be a different case if it were just one small piece of shell. If this just happens and nothing can be done, I don't see myself returning in the future. read more
