SOME breweries have GREAT beer, But no food or mediocre food. Some breweries have great food but OK beer. Stoneface has GREAT Beer & DELICIOUS food.. Served by friendly staff. They have reasonable prices too. As a flight attendant, I go to a LOT of brewery/restaurants across the country.. Very few have Amazing Beer AND food worthy of a visit for both.

So happy we made it here! From the moment we walked in, it felt like home. The warmth and hospitality were unmatched, and I even got a hug on the way out! Plus, the beers were absolutely delicious--everything we tried was really good! Truly lovely and awesome people here. Can't wait for my next visit! It is such a cool place to hang out!

Nice Thing, a New England IPA.

One of the latest delving with a craft brewery that I haven't tried before. Nice Thing was the name of the beer that Steve and I had. Nice Thing was a Hazy New England IPA that seems to be all the rage for about two years now. This beer had tropical, juicy and hoppy flavor highlights to it. Fairly refreshing in nature and smooth. This beer unfortunately we felt wasn't all that terribly unique... didn't quite have anything to make it memorable and therefore it is kind of like all the other New England IPA's you see these days. Perhaps trying some of their other beer choices would have been more appealing and we would have found something we felt was more memorable but it is what it is.

OG Burger, house fries, kale career with crispy chicken, scotch egg (from the Coat of Arms pop-up in February)

The food is always incredible and the service is quick. Staff is welcoming and the vibe is great for all people--families, couples, friends. Value for price is always reasonable. Cant beat it!

Beers on tap including the full and half clip, duderino, plum sour, barrel aged

Best burger and best beer in the Seacoast area. Hands down. Their Scales NEIPA rivals any top 10 IPA on Beer Advocate.

Great IPA, awesome double IPA. My only complaint is the price seems a bit high compared to other craft 4-packs.

I actually would go as far as saying they are underrated in talks of all the breweries in Maine. They have always been a brewery with a vast amount of variety in their styles they brew. Such as IPAs, fruited sours, porters, stouts, lagers, and so many more. Enough variety you could visit and all your party could find their style. They also deserve a lot of credit for being one of the first if not the first in the state to jump on the non-alcoholic train for beers. This has expanded to basically be as varied in style as their usual beers now. I actually enjoyed their NA Mexican Lager and it was delicious and would be a great option for those looking for NA beers. My wife grabbed their NA seltzer and enjoyed it as well. Since that expansion they have also moved into adaptogen beverages as well as CBD/THC drinks too. They keep expanding their portfolio while also doing what they already do so well! Also for non beer drinkers they did have some bourbon and other spirits available as well. Really great options for all who show up! They don't offer food themselves besides some free popcorn, which was seasoned perfectly! Although if feeling like more food swing in next door to Weathervine and grab some food before to pair with your drink. The bartender was very friendly and apologized when my first choice kicked and from his interactions with other patrons it is clear Woodland Farms cares about their customers! A spot my wife and I will make sure to return to sooner rather than later. You should check it out as well!

Well worth it!] * Young Upstart: 6.6% ABV - a bIt muted for an IPA * Bernuda Tattoo: 6.9% ABV - slight more hoppy than the Y.U * To Vera: 7.5% ABV - fruitier notes as a Hazy WCIPA * Nielsen Schmielsen: 7.7% ABV - as a double, this is quaint As for food, they have a small selection of snacks, sandwiches and "tube meats" and some shareable. the music is good, not mainstream stuff. and the v8be is very neighborhood spot. Come foe the drinks, maybe a snack, but come during the warmer months, as I'm sure the patio opens up and it's a much better scene. Wait staff could be a bit more engaging. Overall, I'd come back to try the food, it's unique to see "tubed meats" on the menu. I'm getting a lot of German influences when. it comes to the menu.

It wasn't my preferred type of beer, but I found it tasty and refreshing. The next morning at breakfast at a restaurant in town, there were small signs on the table for their beers. So that afternoon, I went to Liar's Bench for lunch. I appreciate the messages the universe had sent me. Apart from a challenge getting parking at lunchtime, with several spots in the lot reserved for nearby Murray's Plumbing, there's much to like about Liar's Bench (and that's no lie). The beer selection is varied enough that I was able to get a very satisfying flight. My local friend had suggested I order whatever was the chef's special of the day (which today was a specialty burger), but we instead opted for the BBQ platter for 2, with a large amount of pulled pork, slaw, potato salad, and Texas toast. We sat at the bar and had great service and conversation. I can see why this is a popular lunch destination. Another bonus for me is that Liar's Bench is the closest brewery to a hotel at which I often stay when I'm in Portsmouth, making this a new destination for me when I'm in the area.

Drink order was fast, but food order took some time for a empty pub. The waitress was great, once we ordered. Still the wait for food was a it long... for a empty pub. Food was good, pub food for sure. I had the Steak Tips. Super tinder and full of flavor, they asked how we want them cooked... but then still cook it well done. The amount this give is huge! I had so much food. Mash was great but the presentation not so much. Just thrown on. Veggies could have been left off. They tasted like something from a stir-fry dish. Didn't work with the meal. Other two meals were the captain plate and tacos. The captain plate was huge 6 scallops, 6 shrimp and one piece of haddock plus fried and rings. Haddock was not the best, in fact wasn't even sure if that was haddock. Tacos were great, but coleslaw and chips with salsa could have been rice and beans. Only the tacos were touched. Customers don't like waiting in a empty pub, that's what made me give the 3 stars. One more thing, might want to check the chairs as well, my bf went to sit down and had he attempted to scoot the chair in as he was already sitting on it, the wooden part he was sitting on lifted up as he moved and his finger got smashed in between the wood. He was in so much pain, finger is all bruised.

The menu has changed, removing most things with any semblance of health. I could tell why after I ordered a chicken Caesar salad. The "grilled chicken" on top looked like it had been plucked from a bin of Subway chicken. It was cold and slimy and clearly not fresh. I could tell the food quality had changed in the rest of the things my family had ordered as well, it seems like mostly reheated frozen food. Also, they stopped doing trivia so that's yet another reason why I will no longer be going.

My wife was visiting a friend near by and my brother in law recommended we go here for pizza…read more Well it was a good recommendation for many reasons. First one was that there is plenty of parking. And plenty of outdoor seating for when the weather allows that. When we first got in the hostess told me it would be about 10 minutes, but we were welcome to sit and look at the menu till they called us for the table. It was only a 5 minute wait and at first I was surprised we couldn't just be served at the large high table at the entrance where we were seated and waiting which looked like it was for several parties or even one large party, but even when we were leaving that table was empty so I guess they either save it for a very large party or just for people to sit at while they wait for their table like we did. Either way we didn't wait long so that didn't bother me as I thought it might at first. When we were seated, service was extremely fast, so fast that at first I thought they just want us out. :p but they are just that good. And our waitress brought me my soda without ice which many servers forget and would get me a refill before I was even done with the soda and even asked if we wanted water as soon as we sat and bright us some. When the food arrived (which as I mentioned was extremely fast even though the place was packed), everything was amazing. We started with shrimp and the Brie which were in the specials. Shrimp was fresh and you could really tell, and the Brie had a nice assortment of apple slices, almond slices, bread and cranberries making it feel like you were also having a healthy meal with your pizza and fried food :p. We had the truffle mushroom pizza and the only complaint my mother had was that it had onions and rocket which she didn't like on the pizza, but that was her fault for not reading it on the menu as we could have easily just asked for it not to have that. She just saw truffle, mushrooms and ricotta cheese and said im having that. Which was what I wanted too but I was ok with everything else too. Well we both enjoyed it and I even took the left over pizza to have for dinner later :). I don't live nearby, but it is a place I would recommend to others who go by there and when we come near here again I know where to go eat if I'm in the mood for pizza. The only complaint is that it was too loud for us, almost felt like a sports bar without the sports tvs playing everywhere, however they do have take out as well, so you do have that option too if you live nearby.

Plenty of lot parking so that's always a plus. We walked in on Friday for lunch and it was fairly full but we were seated quickly and orders taken. Very rustic ambience and service was quick. Unfortunately, the food was just ok and didn't knock my socks off. We ordered the Brussel sprouts, pork belly steam buns and the margherita pizza. Brussels were fried nicely but the ginger sesame sauce was very strong and I would probably preferred the sauce on the side. Pork belly buns were just ok as well. We were here for the pizza so were excited to try it - pizza unfortunately was just ok as well. Food is subjective and always based on preference so please take this review with a grain of salt - pizza was a bit doughier than I'd like - I prob should've asked for it to be well done if even possible and the sauce tasted heavy on the oregano - not something I'm a big fan of. All in all - not bad but not great. I just had such high expectations - maybe a different pizza might've changed my mind. But def don't skip out on going next door to try some samples and get some bread - the bread is amazingly delicious.

This quaint gastropub doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside, this seems like a place where locals are regulars and tourists are happy to get a table at this "no reservations" joint. It's dark inside (no photos) and a little cramped. The bartenders are serving double duty mixing and pouring drinks while also playing DJ and spinning vinyl records. And it felt like everyone inside was exactly where they wanted to be at the moment...enjoying each other's company and sharing drinks and food. The menu is about the size you would expect from a small kitchen - a fair number of appetizer dishes meant for sharing, and a handful of entrees, ranging from casual to a bit more refined. The grilled cheese and tomato soup ($19) was made with a hearty artisan bread that hit the spot on a chilly evening. Similarly, the coq au vin ($26) was classic comfort food, with perfectly cooked smashed fingerling potatoes surrounded by a rich, decadent reduction sauce smothering meaty mushrooms and soft pearl onions. Note, the coq au vin did take a long time to prepare, so not the dish to order if you're in a hurry. A couple of not-too-sweet lemon ricotta donuts (with chocolate sauce) was a great way to end the meal.

Well, I'm happy that they were because dinner here was SOOOO good! The bartender helped us choose a bottle of champagne to start. We shared everything. One of each of the deviled eggs each. The maple cranberry was interesting. The sour cream chive one was to die for! The ricotta gnocchi was elegant and fluffy. The sauce made it over the top. The ribs were good, but I'm a Midwest girl. They just don't compare to back home. The clam linguine was seasoned perfectly. It was quite filling. We ended with the Apple Olive Oil cake with maple ice cream. The cake itself was quite dense and dry. The ice cream helped. I would not order this dessert again. Service was quite SLOWWWW, and for no reason as they weren't very busy while we were there. There were long gaps between courses and then once we were finished we kind of just sat there for a while. The food was worth it but something is not running efficiently and could be improved. Still giving 5 starts because it was so good and everyone was welcoming.
