Food is delicious, served fresh and quickly. I love the coleslaw with peanuts in it. The restaurant has a "barny" feel, is loud and cold.

I took my daughter here as a celebratory lunch after her basketball game and the food was great! My daughter got the Mac and cheese with tri tip and I got the pesto pasta with tri tip. We also shared a petite Caesar salad and breadsticks. The portions here are big, so they are great for sharing. What was even better than the food was the service. Adrienne brought our food out to us and even went to grab us some extra napkins and a fork because my daughter dropped hers. She was very attentive and once we were finishing asked if she could grab us a few boxes to go. She was so friendly and made our experience that much better. My friends invited me to have lunch at STONEFIRE Grill last week and after reading some of the reviews I was not to excited per se. to my surprise I actually had a delightful experience. I ordered the tri tip which was sooooo delicious ! I would recommend it to all my friends and family.. I really have nothing bad to say about my experience. If I could give this restaurant a ZERO; I would and that may be to generous! I normally don't write reviews, but do to my past experience I am willing to make an exception. By far the worst customer experience I have ever had! Which is saying a lot because I work in Banking. I started out by calling my order in. Mistake number one! I gave my name and even spelled it out; he still got it wrong will get to that later.... So I ordered the stimulus package with the Bar-B-Que Tri Tip medium, a Caesar salad, and two topping pizza. I also ordered a whole chicken on the side. I asked to pick up the meal at 5pm, so it would be warm for the football game. The man taking my order said, "that will not be a problem at all, oh an by the way you do know you can order online". Really dude......I was driving. The reason why this gentleman wanted me to order online because he could not spell to save his life!!! So I get to the restaurant to pick up my order, there is no one in line so I assumed there would be no wait. Wrong, I tell the gentleman my name and my order and he said he cant find it. He asked for my number, come to find out it was under the name Jasmine? How do you get JENNIFER and JASMINE twisted, anyone? I didn't make a big deal, just decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Yeah, that lasted about 30 seconds.Mistake number two.....I must have been waited on by the runner up for the employee of the month award!!! I have never in my entire life see another human being move so slow in my entire life. Seriously, he had two speeds slow and stop! He said my order was ready and that he just needed to grab the dressing, I ask to order a cheesecake cake (half size). Whelp he rang it up and went on, what I thought was a flipping journey to retrieve the dressing and cheesecake. I kid you not, he took so much time that 4 yes 4 other associates came up to me and asked if I was being helped. Once he finally returned, he gave me my order and said "thanks"! By this time my blood is boiling, I step to the side to check my order and make sure I had everything. Whelp....I think I got so mad that I just saw red. My order wasn't correct, I order a whole chicken on the side, but what I got was two chicken breast. I told him, this isn't what I ordered. He said we ran out of whole chickens so I had to substitute, you should have received a call! JENNIFER did not receive a call, you probably called the infamous Jasmine. I told him this not enough chicken, I ordered a whole chicken because I am feeding men at a football game!!!! He said sorry and he could give me another slice of cheesecake??????? I told him that is unacceptable, he said If I wanted to wait they could make a chicken! What the HELL, I had already been there 30mins you should had started making chicken when you ran out, yeah but that would have been the SMART thing to do! I said, "just give me another chicken breast, I am in a hurry". He complied and I was on my way. Well, the moment I got to my car I tasted the Tri Tip, dear lord it was terrible and cold. The pizza was even worst and of course cold. To make a long story short, I will never ever go back to this place! Seems like they're trained to say "YES" to every request just to give you the false impression that they care about customers. But, the worse is the table layout--jeez, who in the world thought up the table layout design? They go on and on about "'Family-style dining" but only have one long table to accommodate larger families or groups of over 4 people. Someone tell management to unbolt all those cubicle looking booths and put in some real tables were families can sit down and enjoy a meal TOGETHER - not split up in 2 or 3 booths. Incredibly noisy, lots of kitchen noise, exhaust fans, clanking pans, so I guess they play the radio music to try and drown it out. The clientel has to talk loud to hear each other at their table which adds to the cacophony. The menu is large but complicated and you are expected to order as you walk in the door, kinda like a dressed up McDonald's. I love the bbq tri-tip here and their bbq sauce too. I can't get enough of both. The breadsticks are always yummy and so much better than Pat & Oscar's. The caesar salad is great too. I went in on Sunday with my 2 kids and a friend who had only good things to say for this place. I thought it was going to be a sit down restaurant and was immediately disappointed to see that it was order/pay before you eat. I ordered their shrimp special which was against the recommendation of my friend and the cartwheel salad. I like most of the items in the salad but the dressing did not blend good with it. The staff quickly replaced it with a regular green salad. It was ok. When the shrimp finally came out it was drenching in grease/oil. It was gross but I was hungry. I tried my friends tri tip that came out before my meal and it was so soft it reminded me of liver. Do they put lots of tenderizer on this? Kind of scary thinking about it. read more

The woman named Ashley took our order and not only was she unresponsive when I asked her questions, but she acted like she was impatient when she took our order. I ordered my food for pickup because it would have taken a lot longer than it would have been if I would have had it delivered. Upon arriving to the location I was not greeted, stood at the takeout counter for 5 minutes until someone acknowledged me. They said my order would be out in 2 minutes cause the the hold of of bread sticks. The gal that assisted me said "I'll call for you soon". 5 minutes later that same gal was walkout of your establishment cause her shift was over. Now I'm waiting more than ten minutes, nobody knows I'm there, now I have to get back in line mind you almost twenty minutes after I arrive, my food is extremely cold. The only thing that was warm were the bread sticks. After almost waiting 30 minutes cause again nobody knows I'm there I walk out with a cold box of pizza, my chilled stimulus meal and warm bread stick. That's not even the entire part, after I arrived home and had to reheat my food, mind you my steak I ordered medium rare was given to me well done, I came across a long dark hair in my mash potatoes. So after purchasing a cold meal and still having human hair in it I obviously had to throw it away. It baffles me that disconnect your establishment has with its guests. I am deeply saddens at the service that I was given and I will defiantly not hesitate to let people know about your company and everything it had to offer... literally. One of my friends told me he heard good things about this restaurant, so we decided to try it out this past weekend. When we first walked in, it is very similar to Phil's BBQ in San Diego: you order your food at the front, find a table, and then the waiters will bring you your food. I ended up ordering the Tri Tip Individual Meal, which included the tri tip (you're given the choice of either BBQ or cracked pepper garlic w/ gorgonzola butter), choice of salad (garden, caesar, greek, or cartwheel), and two breadsticks. I ended up getting the cracked pepper garlic w/ gorgonzola butter tri tip and the greek salad. My friend ordered the tri tip and rib combo with a caesar salad and also the cracked pepper garlic tri tip. We sat down, got our drinks, and waited for our food. Shortly after, we were served our salads. My friend really enjoyed his caesar salad, but my greek salad was just meh, to be honest. Then we got our main courses - let me tell you, the tri tip is very tasty! It was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor from the cracked pepper and garlic. I think what sold me with this dish was the gorgonzola butter spread. It went so well with the meat, creamy with just the right amount of sharpness from the gorgonzola. Delectable! I tried a piece of my friend's ribs and it was pretty tender and good! Nothing spectacular, but still very tasty - comparable to Lucille's or Phil's BBQ. Oh, and those breadsticks are to die for! If you ever had Little Caesar's Crazy Bread, it really reminded me of that, but with a lot more flavor and seasoning on it! Sooooo good, my mouth is watering as I'm typing this. Kind of regretting not buying some to-go :( Overall, I had a great first-time experience at Stonefire Grill. The service was great, very helpful since it was my first time, delicious food, generous portions, and pretty affordable for what it is! My meal was $12.99 and my friend's was $14.99. This place is perfect for families and individuals. The portions are HUGE and there are leftovers. I ordered the lemon garlic salmon meal, it came with 8 oz salmon, garden salad, and a bread stick. The bread stick are super yummy and the salad was perfect because I just went to the dentist and it was lovely to have all the veggies cut into small pieces. I love my salmon with lots of lemon and their salmon had the perfect amount there was no need to add more. My boyfriend ordered the pull pork sandwich, that tasted like manwich sauce (I'm not a fan of BBQ). We also ordered extra bread sticks and carrot cake. The carrot cake was very sweet and for most of our meal we were worried they had forgotten our dessert. Luckily they did not :D The decor was classy, it had a nice comfy feel to it and the outdoor seating is perfect to get away from the noise. We sat in the perfect location away from everyone since it was date night. We look forward to coming with family and making a huge order. read more

Stonefire is an excellent place if you really want great food at an excellent price. I usually get the mac and cheese! I come here all of the time but Friday's experience really prompted me to write this review. Our server Julia, who we have seen many times, really tried her hardest to make sure we had an excellent dining experience! She made sure all of our food came out as fast as possible and we even saw her running across the restaurant for certain things. The place is great. Right around my job and prices are reasonable. Food is pretty good. I haven't been disappointed yet. Because this is a restaurant type of place u do tip, even though all they do is bring u ur food. U pay at the front for what u want to get and then they bring u ur food. However u have to pick up ur silverware and plates and refill ur own drinks. I took down 2 stars because the very first time I went, the impression wasn't too great. I wasn't sure how it worked because all I saw was a line for take out and that's all I saw labeled. My family and I were waiting on someone at the front desk, we walked towards the tables because no one came to greet us and we kept seeing employees walking by or some talking amongst each other not even acknowledging us until I personally had to tell someone we needed help. I mean y else would we be standing in the middle of everything. Then we had man help us which looked to be like a manager and he didn't even apologize for the wait or anything. Their breadsticks are so good I might be hoarding them in case of a zombie apocalypse. Sh, don't tell. NO, you can't have my breadsticks! The cowboy beans were not impressive, but I didn't really expect them to be. Mashed potatoes were tasty. I enjoy the greek salad. Those who complain about service, well, it's not a place where you sit down and are served. You order your food at the front, take a buzzer thingie with you, and you choose your table. They bring your food out in 1-2 courses. The manager usually swings by the tables once a visit. But once that visit is over and your food has all been delivered, well, you may be on your own...or you may need to flag someone down. my sister and i came here for lunch. the crowd was decent for lunch. my cousin suggested we try it. i was a little shocked that it was an order first and sit down after restaurant. ordered 1/4 chicken with garlic pepper sauce with the tri tip with bbq. it was pretty good. the tri tip had a smokey taste to it and the chicken was tender and juicy. pretty yummy. caesar salad had a strong taste at the first bite but after a few it was really tasty. the only thing i didn't like was that lines moved a li lil slowly. other than that it was great. they are a little hidden, however if it was more on a major street i am sure it would be super super packed! read more

Caesar salad was excessively garlicky for my taste. Ribs and tri tip were served about room temperature. Not sure if this is normal for this place. I grew up not wasting food so I finished what I ordered. Tri tip was moist and tender. The butter didn't melt at all, so I knew it came out cold. Garlic bread was really good. Not sure about this place. Don't know if it is psychological due to the temperature of the food, but I feel a little nauseous. I'll have to reread the reviews to see what others said to figure out the "norm". read more
