I would not recommend ordering food to go. I ordered on line for pick up at 4:30 and waited 45 min for my food. They are unorganized, 4 to 5 people in the pick up or take out section 10 people waiting to be served and no one came to ask any of us our names. We use to love coming here. Being Italian and growing up on lemon chicken, Olive Oil and garlic on everything, this was a pretty authentic Italian restaurant. All be it, fast food style. Now, we are very disappointed, time and time again. Recipes are clearly not being followed. Zero consistency, lacking zest and flavor. Pizza, how can you screw that up?? Just received one, all dough no cheese or sauce or flavor. And the wait is way too long. When you watch the frantic employees running around throwing things into to go boxes it explains a lot! Ordered a veggie sandwich based on the menu description. It's literally a slice of 2 small veggies on too much bread. The bread is basic. I'm so disappointed. First off let me say my coworker and I were at a snooty work luncheon where we shared a carrot cake and it wasn't very sweet and neither of us liked it much and she looked at me and said, "I like the carrot cake at Stonefire grill much better." So we went the very next day and I have to agree it's, hands down, the best carrot cake I've found in Ventura County so far. HUGE piece and fair price. VERY well made and delicious cake!! You'll be given a little disk and shortly your meal will arrive. It's help yourself to plates, utensils, napkins and after your meal, a take out container for your leftovers. If you order drinks, you'll get a glass to fill, if your having water, remember to ask for your glass at the register. I was impressed at how often the servers came by to check on us, to be sure we had everything we needed. And this service is consistent as it occurred on multiple visits. And the servers were friendly, which was terrific. My hubby enjoys the 1/2 lemon garlic chicken entree with mashed potatoes and breadsticks. The kale salad with tahini and chick peas usually catches my attention although recently the new addition of quinoa salad with sun-dried tomatoes, pesto, artichokes, and option of omitting the parmesan cheese was amazing. It gets crowed, so going early may be helpful. The outside patio offers addition seating and is usually not as loud as the inside on a busy dinner hour. We ate at Stone Fire Grill on Fallbrook in West Hills. I had a Child's plate of beef ribs with salad and a drink. The lunch is delicious and a great value. This is a great place for those on the go, quick, good food and great value doing it my way. Can't wait to return and do it again. read more

Was part of a sizable group get together (30-35 people) at this location recently. It was during the evening & we sat outside on the heated patio, which served our needs perfectly. The food was served hot, fresh and was plentiful & delicious (tri tip & lemon garlic chicken, alfredo & pesto pasta, plus chopped salad and of course....the breadsticks). In addition to the great food, what really helped make the night a winner was the incredibly accommodating & attentive staff. They all made sure the service was prompt & that everyone in our group was well taken care of. They forgot my Mac and cheese for my kids food forgot the dressing for the Cesar salad.. both portions of mash potatoes were slimy textured and lettuce was wilted for the Cesar (didn't matter anyway cuz we had no dressing) Maybe cuz whoever packed it on the closing shift really didn't care to pack the order accordingly not really sure either way spent $75 for really terrible food which is not cheap! will be avoiding them going forward. Today was our first time at this place. Thought Westlake Village location and supposed to be known for its grill that it would be great.. Not!! Cashier couldnt help my husband who had questions about one of the salads and he didnt ask for us.. not even when my husband mentioned his special diet issues. The kid couldnt care less. Then I ordered a glass of wine with my order, and cashier didnt add it. Perhaps he didnt hear me but he didnt say anything except to offer to get the manager. The evening was topped off by a disorganized kitchen who trickled out our entrees one at a time. With a party of 10 you think they would be paying attention. We didnt get to eat together. Went here for dinner- it's really gone downhill. They have so many people working but it's completely unorganized. We ordered 2 items each plus breadsticks (5 items total), and got our food staggered. So one item came, 5-10 minutes later another, 5-10 minutes later another... The food was awful. Only the breadsticks and 1 food item (pesto pasta) was edible. The tri tip sandwich was gross, the chopped salad didn't taste right (I've always gotten it), the mac n cheese was disgusting - there was no roux/cheese sauce just stringy melted cheese on noodles. My family & I went to the Thousand Oaks Stonefire Grill on Thousand Oaks Blvd. on the way home from a tournament last weekend. The restaurant was pretty busy at the time. Despite how busy the restaurant was, the staff there functioned to perfection. Everyone was extremely polite. I even interacted with a staff member who was so accommodating. I later learned that that staff member was the GM for that location. I was FLOORED by the hospitality of this Stonefire Grill. I love this restaurant! It is very quaint and reminds me of a place where you'd order pizza and sit, talk and relax. The atmosphere is so relaxing, quiet and pleasant. The restaurant is very clean everywhere you look. The bathrooms are spotless. The food is good and they have a large variety. There are people from every age group here. Ordered takeout and arrived on time for a tri-tip salad for two, a half rack of baby back ribs, mashed potatoes, and breadsticks. The order was correct, but the food wasn't. What very little tri-tip came with the beautiful salad was over cooked and even pasty / mealy. Essentially, it was inedible. We had to search for it to begin with and never had an order come like this. The mashed potatoes were excellent, thus the 2 stars. The breadsticks were not warm even though we ate right away upon getting home in 10 min. The ribs were so overcooked, we opened the container and no knife was necessary. The meat simply was separated from the bone. We know ribs and this was not cooked well, but overcooked. We do not recommend folks to go here and will now try other places like Wood Ranch. Great meals before at Stonefire, but for the money -- no way. read more

The reason I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars is because of their service. This restaurant has good food and is in a great location but every time I order curbside service I am left disappointed. They offer curbside pickup but every single time I have to go inside the restaurant to pick up my food....and usually after waiting curbside for more than 25 minutes. I ordered tri tip for my salad and the first time they put chicken in my salad instead and the second time there was hardly any trip tip. I am just so disappointed because this restaurant is so close to my home and has pretty good food. But I don't think I'll ever be going back after this last experience. read more

Love this place! They don't have enough garlic on the breadsticks anymore though. Very bland. I really miss the spinach salad too; it was the best salad of all. I had my daughter pick up food for the family today using some bonus cards I had previously gotten. I had 7 in total and previously used 2 and some on a third card. When she went in today Julia had to help her out because they said there was no money on the cards. I'm not sure if whoever rung me up last time I was in there had given me back the used cards instead of the ones with a balance on them. This is unacceptable as a business and will never return.
