Stonesedge located in a quiet corner of Whistler, so I really like it there. The chicken wings are very good here, I would say it is average for the ribs and fries. One thing that bothers me here is that if you order on more hot sauce that comes with the chicken wings you will be charged $2.5. While the chicken wings already cost us $18, the additional charge on the hot sauce seems ridiculous. The owner of this restaurant needs to re-think of where they should make money, sauce is not the way sir ! read more

After reading the reviews we were super excited to sample the brunch menu. We were the first to arrive right when they opened at 9am. The place was so dirty we were immediately grossed out. We knew it was from the night before because we waited outside until they opened and we're the first people seated. When we asked about meals we had seen on the internet the waitress told us the restaurant had recently changed hands. The server was very friendly but unfortunately the food was below average. The sausage seemed as though it was cooked the night before and microwaved- tough and dry. The potatoes reminded me of making a batch of play dough with my kids- overloaded with salt. TLDR: just go to McDonalds instead. There was a pice of food floating in my soda, I asked for it to be replaced which they did. After drinking a bit I noticed that the inside of the glass was absolutely dirty, there were small pieces of I think orange pulp everywhere, leftovers from a cocktail or juice served in the same cup I guess. That one was also replaced though. I ordered burger with soop but it arrived without a spoon. I had to ask for it. The burgers themselves were burned, both of them. Its also similarly priced to other burgers in the area which were not half as bad. So its not even a barghain. They have several variations, but I had the "Benny" which was the closest version to a classic eggs Benedict, however it was different. I enjoyed a happy meal with a large group here tonight. We were walk-ins with no reservations but they very quickly accommodated us and even moved extra tables over when additional people joined us, which was great. People seemed for the most part to enjoy their experience and had good things to say about the menu, and the service...although many were groaning on the way home after eating the waaaay too decadent Smores Parfait! As someone who can't eat dairy, gluten or rice without getting sick, I was overjoyed to see dishes featuring spaghetti squash, my go-to pasta substitute! However, the dish I wanted, the Chicken Meatball Bowl, which featured three chicken meatballs in a coconut curry sauce, didn't have spaghetti squash - it had rice noodles. Since spaghetti squash as a side ($4.00) was available, I asked if they could sub the spaghetti squash for the rice noodles. The server immediately said, "That'll cost you extra." I said I didn't mind paying a small charge, not really thinking about it at the time. However, when the bill came, they had charged me for the full cost of the bowl ($22 - which was steep for the portions even if I hadn't subbed the noodles out), PLUS the full cost of a side of spaghetti squash. First of all, I don't think the cost of giving me spaghetti squash vs. rice noodles is that much more expensive that you need to charge for it, but I'm willing to pay a small substitution fee for the extra effort - but you need to take into account that I asked you to sub out the majority of the dish for some squash - I didn't get more food, I got less, and I paid more. In looking at the menu, it would have been much cheaper for me to order the Chicken Meatballs as a stand alone dish, which are available on the appie menu ($12), plus a side of spaghetti squash ($4). The bowl was probably worth $16, but I paid $26. Don't I feel like a sucker now. read more

This was a great welcome to Whistler for me! I arrived early, and I was ready for breakfast! The restaurant wasn't super busy when I arrived, and I was quickly seated at my choice of table (there were lots so they let me pick.) Staff were friendly and clearly expected it to be busier. I got the Garden Benny on the server's recommendation, and it was pretty tasty! Unfortunately, because it was a long weekend, they weren't doing any promos or specials, but the benny was good. It looked a bit small when it arrived, partially because they use small pieces of bread rather than an English Muffin for the carb component, but nevertheless it was good. The eggs were runny, the sauce was delicious, and the balsamic drizzle was a total highlight. I also loved the potatoes because I am a sucker for fried potatoes - I can't help myself. The decor is really nice - rustic hipster kind of thing. I enjoyed my meal and I'd definitely be back to try more items. read more

The kids meals were easy and simple, adult meals were perfect! There were healthy options which I absolutely loved! My dish was the squash spaghetti with tofu, sprouts and tomato with mushrooms. The flavors that were used made the dish incredibly flavorful and I loved every bite! Totally filled me up! The service was perfect and they accommodated our group about an hour earlier! Great food and beers to satisfy any tastebuds! This place is a little hard to find. It's across the street from Moe Joe's at the end of the street. We had a group of 11 adults and with this large of a group reservations are necessary. Our waitress Jordie was very accommodative to late arrivals and food restrictions. The beer and cocktail selection is limited, but everyone in our group found something they loved. I had the parallel 49 that was a scotch barreled that I would recommend. The winter salad was excellent and the portions are perfect for one person. I had the venison which was very tasty. This place is known for their game meats, but has a good alternative options for vegetarians. It is a very causal place so leave those heels at home. We stopped by Stonesedge as part of the Whistler Tasting Tours. Although we were able to only have one dish (the ox-tongue fish tacos), we thought it was the best dish out of the 10+ places we visited over the course of two tours we took over the long weekend. Other things include a huge patio, friendly servers, and a nicely decorated space. I normally would not review a place without spending more time there, but it is a new establishment and I noticed that there are no reviews up yet on it. Just helping to spread the word! Wow, what a difference a hundred metres makes. This is the place we should of came to last night. We strictly stuck to appetizers tonight, but had our fill. The Mountain Picnic was an excellent introduction to local fare. The Warm Beer and Cheese Dip was excellent. Chewy and I came here for their late night menu (after 10pm) since we arrived to Whistler late and was looking for something to satisfy our late night munchies but not have a complete meal. We arrived around 11pm on a Saturday evening and was seated promptly. We ordered the duck mac and cheese and truffled mushroom pate. The mac and cheese came in a small cast iron dish laced with only 4 stingy pieces of roasted duck and covered with bread crumbs. The cheese sauce was creamy and cheesy and overall the dish was satisfying. The pate was acceptable, at best. The flavor of the mushroom was aromatic but it was soaked in a thick layer of truffle oil. The pate was complimented with crostini and rosemary crisps. The accompaniment was nothing to rave about as well- tasted like what I can find at the grocery store. After having our order taken, we were pretty much ignored by our server. She didn't come by to ask how our meal tasted and didn't fill our water glasses which were empty (until we flagged her down). Overall, our experience was very poor. The food is just mediocre and the service didn't make up for it. I'm not sure how this restaurant received such high ratings. There's many better restaurants in Whistler, don't waste your time here. read more

We shared the Canadian Old Fashion and it was smooth... i don't even drink and I liked the taste :) We shared the smoked bison poutine, hunter's bowl and burrito bowl... The poutine was amazing, a bit salty especially with the smoked bison, but still very good. We got the hunter's bowl based on yelp reviews, it was tasty, tho a bit too much pasta. My favorite was the burrito bowl! the kale chips, grilled peppers, guac, quinoa, etc... SO AMAZING! definitely needed a bit of green next to the other bowls! read more

This place is a nice facility with friendly service but after that, it falls down because of the quality of the food. We came in for Sunday breakfast at a time when it wasn't very busy. Carol ordered Eggs Benedict and I ordered Bacon and Eggs. It took forever for the food to come out of the kitchen and when it arrived at the table, the plate presentation was disappointing. It just didn't look appetizing. My eggs, ordered over medium, were fried to within an inch of their lives (scorched brown), the potatoes were cut up russets then deep fried and the bacon was so thin you could see through it. The best part of the meal was the toast, thick and crunch but served without jam which I had to ask for. Carol complained that the hollandaise sauce was bland as if it came from a mix. When paying $13.00 for breakfast, I would expect better. read more

When in whistler and in doubt give this place a try and you'll thank yourself for making such a great choice! The decor is very rustic, think swirling wooden stools meet chic west coast. We sat on the patio but the large leather couch in the back of the restaurant would be my cozy spot for the cold winter nights. The patio is beautiful and the service was great. They have heat lamps and blankets for those cold mountain breezy nights. I tried the Falafel, the duck and the Mojito Gelato which was offered as a 3 course menu and was out of this world. We waited and waited, and eventually, they came, but apparently they were in the deep fryer the entire time as they were fairly burnt though still edible. If they were cooked slightly less they'd have been very good. Upon delivery of our falafel we were informed that our mains were going to take 20 minutes as they had a 'big table' which had just ordered. Fine, no problem. Big table was 8 people so no big deal. 50 minutes later, big table has been served and has already finished eating and paying. We were seated with a delightful 1 year old baby who, despite being a dream, was reaching the end of her patience. We'd had 2 beers each, and the falafel and our food still was not finished. OK Can't stay, got to go. Food promised to come immediately, doesn't so I tell them we have to leave. I try to pay, and they refuse, waiving the cost of all of our drinks and falafel. I should leave a worse review, but frankly, this is the only decent place in Whistler potentially, and they gave me 4 beers and an app free cuz they were so r-tarded. Up in Whistler for the festival and came here for brunch. Honestly not great. My boyfriends dish was sort of a mix of everything and not cohesive it said it came with siracha creme fraiche but it was actually just topped with siracha and then Creme fraiche. My smoked salmon benny was VERY small and the smoked salmon wasn't the best quality the "crostini's" where stale and slightly burnt.
