One of our favorites. The food is always consistent and service is normally pretty good. However it can be pretty loud. The boots with the dividers are quieter. But the back tables are very loud and sometimes difficult to hear people across the table. Favorites include the Muskie Burger, Shaved Prime Rib, Lake Perch, and Walleye Po Boy (but the Walleye portion is a little on the smaller side). This restaurant is great. It is always busy and they really try appeal to the "something for everyone". The menu is great and the food is consistent and delicious. The wait staff and bartenders are friendly and care about your experience. They work hard at making sure you are happy. The "All you can eat fish fry" on Fridays is amazing and worth the trip, they only take reservations for tables of 6 and over. My husband and I got on the waitlist for a 30-40 minute wait. We were waiting for almost 25 minutes when a party of five walked in and were immediately sat. I asked the host why that is and he basically laughed at me and said that's a big table. I found that to be extremely unprofessional. We frequent this establishment and have sat three of us at this same table. The host kept arguing with me about how I am wrong etc etc. I am very disappointed that customer service is not a priority anymore. Absolutely love this restaurant! Their bone in wings are so good, I have to have them at least once a month. They have other great food choices as well, such as the burgers and nachos! First time at Stoney Point. Did curbside pickup last night. Super easy and absolutely delicious! We ordered the Bloomin Pretzel. It was huge, flavorful and stuffed with cheese. Two delicious dipping sauces, cheese and ground mustard. Also ordered, the smokehouse burger. Grilled to perfection. Topped with gouda and thick bacon on pretzel bun, sweet potato fries with a warm side of honey to dip the fries. Bourbon pulled pork sliders were zesty, tender tons of flavor. Three served on mini brioche buns, moist. Also a chicken quesadilla for the youngster who ate every bit of it! I didn't taste it but thats because it was eaten quickly. I feel the price might scare away some more frugal diners but please give Stoney Point a try. The portions and quality are worth every penny! We will be back after lockdown ends! read more

The food here will always keep me coming back!! Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because when we were seated, we waited 15 minutes before anyone even came over to serve us. We almost got up& left. But I've never had a problem with the service here in the past. This time around I got the buffalo chicken sandwich with tots and my fiancé got the smokehouse burger. Such a tasty sandwich!! The buffalo sauce has a ton of spice & flavor. The blue cheese dressing tastes like it's made in house. I also snagged a bite of his burger and it was absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection and I love that it's between 2 slices of buttery sourdough bread. The tots are sooooo good as well. The food came out really fast for how insanely packed it was. I was expecting to wait a lot longer. After the initial wait of getting a server, she was super attentive after that. One thing to note is that during horse races it is SO loud. Like almost can't hear yourself talk loud. This didn't bother me because we went out for a casual meal and some beer. But I wouldn't go here for a date during the races. Great, family friendly place that is also our favorite date night. Drinks are always good. Love the Smokey old fashion. The only critique I have is I wish they would level up their wine selection. The only reason we skip out on Stoney point is if I'm craving good wine. Food is awesome. I love the wings and the Shaved prime rib sandwich. Fries are perfectly crispy. I've given this place multiple chances after repeatedly messing my food up and need less to say they never surprise me. I've gotten wings that came with feathers, shrimp that wasn't fully cooked and an order that was submitted late (32 minutes) with a hint of terrible manager resolutions. I've been to the super bowl party in 2018 which was great but everything after that has been nothing short of pathetic. It just happens to have a good location and a decent look. Other than that this place is a disaster waiting to happen. I also happened to get pneumonia during the super bowl event which I don't want to blame them for but maybe it was a sign from the gods to never come back. Stopped by the Stoney Point for lunch this afternoon. I'd say this is a pretty typical neighborhood sports bar with the exception of being able to place bets on horseracing. If I lived in the area this alone would bring me back to this establishment again. They have a separate lunch menu available and I believe every item was a flat price. I decided to go with the seared ahai tuna salad. I was impressed with how generous the tuna portion was for a lunch serving. The salad also had walnuts, avocado, and mini oranges. Very tasty! I ordered an iced tea to drink and that was pretty standard. I found it a little odd that the waitress just brought over a second full iced tea without asking me if I wanted more....I didn't. This left a full untouched iced tea on the table when I left. Maybe the Oregonian in me taking..but super wasteful. There was a very small arcade section in the way back so maybe kids are allowed here during certain hours of the day. For a sports bar in the Chicago suburbs, I'd say not bad. Stoney is a hidden gem! I don't bet on the horses when I go but the food and drinks is what I'm there for! Sometimes it's busy but always get a table in a reasonable amount of time, staff is always polite and attentive! I like craft beers and they have plenty of options to choose from! Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with this restaurant this past weekend. My husband had confirmed a take out order with both managers and when he went to pick it up there was "No recollection of any orders." We had 40 people at our house for a Cinco de Mayo party and no food to serve. In addition, they said if we would wait - they would prepare the food for us. After 30 minutes, a cook came out and AGAIN said there was "No order." My husband ended up late to our own party with no food for our guests. EXTREMELY disappointed. Been here plenty of times and my go to has always been the buffalo chicken dip. Came in with my boyfriend and ordered a corona and blue moon. Placed a food order for just the buffalo chicken dip with ONLY pretzels. Waited about 30 minutes when it was beyond slow. When the order came out, we only had 2 pretzels and a LOAD of chips and celery which we asked not to receive. It's beyond pathetic because we payed $18 total for the appetizer and extra pretzels but did not get what we asked for. We were refunded our money and did not eat our appetizer because the pretzels were black they were so burnt, it was disgusting. Manager and bartender were very apologetic and I understand it wasn't their fault but this was RIDICULOUS for a slow Sunday night. Was given bull crap excuses about the kitchen only having one cook and that she knew our pretzels were burnt and they were being recooked...even thiugh we were still served the pathetic excuse of an appetizer. read more

I've been here several times. I've never had a bad time, but last night really annoyed me! First off, it's basically a sports bar with good food. They have OTB that I have really come to enjoy! If you are in the area I do recommend it for a date spot, etc. The food is pretty delicious. We've had the buffalo chicken sandwich, prime rib sandwich, burgers, etc. The appetizers are good, but a little overpriced. They always have a drink special and a few good Micro-brew beers. My only issue is the service, which is pretty huge in my eyes! Just a few examples...When I asked the bartender about the Cane and Ebel beer on draft her response was, I don't know. When we asked if they had waffle fries her response, I don't know. When asked where we could find an OTB program, I don't know. Are you seeing a pattern? After about the eighth I don't know I was aggravated! I understand you're new, but come on! They really need to step up the service if this place is going to last!
