    Pizza!

Caveat: I prefer Detroit. But this is a solid NY pie. Nice crust. Nice sauce. Tasty pepperoni. Foldable crunchy crust. Just the right amount of grease. Price is right and dudes are cool. It'll soak up a beer or two.

3.5 stars but rounding up for a solid cheese pizza from a food truck! Stony's serves New York style pizza with a thin crust, and I enjoyed my slice of Cheese Pizza (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=yXaZB2xONJDBKf9xnEU7BQ&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg). I liked how bubbly they got the cheese on top, but wished there was more cheese on my slice. I appreciated that it wasn't too greasy. My slice was ready to go, and this would be the perfect late night snack after a night of drinking.

Great greasy, meaty cheese pizza option! I could definitely eat a whole pie from them. I was able to try a free slice due to a Yelp event. This is a great food truck for drunken late nights. Is it the best pizza you will ever taste? No, but it is pretty good! I loved the crust, just doughy enough but still thin with lots of cheese and not a lot of sauce on the piece. I was a little sad I received a piece that barely had a topping on it though :( Great service from the guys in the truck.

It's been a while since I've had some solid large slice Pizza. This was part of a Yelp event that we went to so we got the pepperoni. Really delicious, nice and crispy just the way I like it

Mmmm, Stony's is the bomb.. NY style pizza - perfect thin crust and just the right amount of grease. The crust was a good doughy texture. Tried a slice of cheese and pepperoni. Really enjoyed the simplicity of the cheese slice. The service was friendly. I'd definitely hit them up again.

This was my first time trying Stony's Pizza. I love pizza so I was excited to try the big slices when the food truck visited my apartment yesterday. Customer service was ok. I was greeted with a what's up. Staff were wearing mask. Each slice of pizza was $4.50. I ordered three slices. I was expecting for my three slices to be put in a small box, but they gave me the gigantic box. The person that took my order gave me the slices and asked for payment. He told me how much my total was after I asked him for the total. I didn't get a receipt or napkins. The pizza is too greasy for my liking. I only ate 1 and 1/2 slices because all I could taste was grease. I will not be trying Stony's pizza again!

Great stop after heading to West 6th. They had cheese and pepperoni slices for about $4 and the slices were MASSIVE. Filling and great thin slice pizza.

Great thin crust pizza and the pepperoni's are huge. Didn't have to wait too long either with a decent line.

I prefer the mini but they're sold out a lot which shows you how spectacular this place is. My go to is the nutty valentine. The donut is always warm, fresh, and crispy. And the toppings of Nutella, cinnamon, and strawberries adds dimension & the perfect story. There is plenty of patio seating and lots of parking outside. There can be a line on the weekends and they tend to sell out so keep that in mind. The staff is friendly and service is quick!

When we went our choices were $9-$10 donut base desserts. I say base because the toppings cover up the donut visually. Despite that, there's no covering that scrumptious taste and texture. Wowaweea. Yes, you feel your cells expand and pants tighten and it is for sure run club pre and post, but quite worth it. These divine donuts have that cakey interior I love so much. We had the Puddin': cream cheese icing, vanilla pudding, fresh bananas with nilla wafers. According to the menu. Ours didn't have any nilla wafers and the presentation was uneven, hence the four stars. I didn't miss the wafers. The icing and pudding were one goopy topping and the bananas slices were half scattered slices and half banana chunk that I had to separate. Side notes: Gourdough sits on a corner with parking spots that are not free. There's a pay via QR code so you'll need a phone or something to scan that. Boo for digital shackles. Next note- I feel like this is a low key meet up spot. Like the way they tried to make the first train cars on the MTA the singles car? There was a series of singles getting doughnuts and they were a little done up for the occasion. Who knows. With the little IG ready love seats and doughnuts made for sharing, you could walk away with extra sugar.

I had the Migas taco and the La Reyna taco. Both were excellent. I loved the veggies combination on the La Reyna taco. I would want to stop in and eat these every week if I lived in Austin. He couldn't decide which he liked better, but mentioned that the steak itself had amazing flavor. Do yourself a favor: free up two hours on your day off; order some tacos; order a Desnudo coffee or matcha or hibiscus tea and enjoy the tree-shaded outdoor dining area while you wait for some truly outstanding tacos.

The owner makes it a point to connect with customers, which was refreshing. You can tell this is passion-driven. You order via QR code at your table, then pick up out back when it's ready--easy. Everything is prepped daily in a Commercial kitchen and finished on the truck, and he proudly shared that the ingredients, spices, even the meats are sourced from Spain. Vegan paella? Incredible. Patatas bravas with vegan aioli? My personal favorite, sooo good. My husband loved the jamón serrano sandwich. And whatever you do, don't skip the sourdough rye with tomato spread. I sat down yesterday to eat a $13 lunch special: brown stew chicken, rice and peas, steamed…read morecabbage, and plantain, and bit into a piece of chicken that was refrigerator cold. Not lukewarm. Cold. I bit it a second time because I genuinely couldn't believe it. Meanwhile, the rice was so hot it was still visibly steaming from what I can only assume was a microwave, drowned in a watery gravy I never asked for, next to the old cabbage with solidified liquid. I brought the plate back to the counter, explained the chicken was refrigerator cold, and asked them to reheat it. I'm writing this today with an upset stomach. I wish I could say this was a one-time issue. It's not. I've been trying this restaurant, on and off, for over 15 years, and I kept giving them chance after chance because I wanted so badly for it to be good. I first met the owner when he ran a food truck, before the restaurant existed. I was excited; there weren't many Jamaicans in Austin at the time, and I was happy to support one. The rice and peas was so bad I threw the plate away. Years later, I tried the restaurant location. I ordered curry goat, took it to my car, and found the meat flavorless, fatty, and poorly trimmed; basically inedible. I threw it away in the parking lot. I later ordered oxtail through Uber Eats: flavorless again, poorly prepped meat, and an actual rock in the rice and peas. I tried introducing the child to Jamaican food with one of their beef patties, and it was dry and flavorless. Yesterday I ordered the "safest" thing on the menu, brown stew chicken, specifically because I no longer trust myself to spend real money on anything more ambitious here. I still got food that had clearly been microwaved and reheated unevenly, served with a piece of chicken that was still cold. Are we really selling microwaved leftovers out of an established restaurant with a huge kitchen? Jamaican food is something our culture takes real pride in. This restaurant has had a decade and a half to get it right, and instead I've watched it consistently cut corners on seasoning, on prep, and now on basic food safety. I don't say this lightly: if you want real Jamaican food, this isn't where you'll find it, and depending on the day, what you're served may not even be handled safely.
