I cannot say enough about the level of service I received from both Brett and Ray. I have an existing unit and was looking to get a smaller unit that was temperature controlled. I called in and Brett went over the sizes and cost of units and held a unit until I was able to come in to check it out. I was also in need of the truck that they offer. Brett made sure to hold the truck for me on short notice for our move which in turn gave me peace of mind in knowing that things were taken care of. When I came in to pick up the truck, I was warmly greeted by Ray and he walked me through the whole process. Everything was so streamlined. From start to finish which was such a relief especially when moving. At the end of the day, I returned the truck and there was Ray ensuring that I had a great experience. It's really unfortunate that I have to post a bad review for this Storage, etc. in Chatsworth. Everything was going well until the one thing that we were there for went out and that was the climate control. It got so hot, in the triple digits, that I had to quickly get out paperwork and artwork and all kinds of things that are sensitive to heat. They didn't even have the decency to notify any of us tenants that this had happened to the air-conditioning in our building. I found out because I showed up on the first of the month right after they received my auto-payment. They knew for weeks in advance and then admitted it was going take another week or two to get it fixed-- it could take longer. That's a whole month of our stuff getting blown with hot air, dust and dirt. I first asked for a discount. Corporate refused. Mind you, they have offers to get people in with the first month free and free access to their moving truck if it's available. But I guess in situations like this when they have good tenants paying on time for climate control they can't extend any courtesy whatsoever. So, of course I had to start removing all of my things immediately. My allergies were off the charts with dust all over my things and now all over me too, blowing out of the air ducts. What a cluster! Well, I'm on here to let everybody know--don't use this place! They care more about maintaining their Beverly Hills offices and have the audacity to withhold the days when I was within my right per the contract to receive a check for the full month's rent. Normally I would've given several weeks notice but these are extenuating circumstances. They know I'm not going to go to my attorney and have them write a letter to this vile company or even file an insurance claim. It's not worth it. The guy writing the check to me from his Beverly Hills desk wants to be paid. As a small business owner myself, we have never treated customers in such a manner--ever! And we've always accommodated clients when things happen. Repeat customer interaction and referrals are so important--so is your reputation!!! Well, I can't give them a good recommendation after this-- never will. They royally blew it. There are better storage facilities elsewhere. read more

Alex & James have been SO amazing! They provide excellent service and are so friendly. They're ready to assist you with any questions you may have and are extremely responsive. I appreciate how clean and organized the facility is and that there is someone on-site in the office during business hours. The prices are fair and transparent and I appreciate how much value I get from both my unit and Alex and James. The area is also gated and very safe which is EXTREMELY important for me as a young woman. I can't say enough good things about this location for Storage Etc. I have been storing here in December 2024. I feel safe when I am at the facility. The staff is terrific. Especially Alex. He goes out of his way to make you feel like family. I hope he gets a rise. People with excellent customer service seem rare these days. I appreciate Alex and the rest of the staff. This is a secure place to store your stuff. It is also clean and well-lit. We checked out some other facilities first. This one addressed all our needs. Another one wanted to make us buy their insurance, why would anyone do that? Clean, friendly manager James as noted in other reviews, climate controlled, secure. Another one we went to the manager wasn't there, the door was boarded, wth. The price for this one was better, and is climate controlled, the size was good for us. You use a code to get in the gate and into the building. Found this on yelp and didn't disappoint. read more

This is an overdue review however I wanted to take the time highlighting this location and the amazing staff for their services. The storage units are affordable and supplies are readily available in the office, if needed. The facility is spotless due to the immense care and dedication of the staff. I feel safe and secure at all times and overall had a great experience is the year that I needed to have my personal items stored. After downsizing, I have no reason to hold on to the storage unit but if I need to return for any reason in the future, I would definitely return in a heartbeat. read more

Was always happy with the location, never had a problem. It was 5 minutes away from his place. James and Jennifer are two of the most nicest , most attentive property managers you'll ever meet. Was absolutely thrilled to find Storage Etc! Not only are they very conveniently located, the staff couldn't be nicer. Karen showed me around and helped me reserve a unit, and James made the process of renting it incredibly easy and efficient a week later. The units are clean and well maintained, the cost is very affordable, and you truly feel they care about their customers and the service they provide. Karen even got water for one person we passed by while she was showing me units because it was a hot day and he was doing a lot of heavy lifting. This is an excellent storage facility! We chose it because of its location and ease of entry/exit. It's very clean and well-maintained. An important feature is the wide driveway/gate which easily accommodates a large moving van, unlike other storage facilities. This made it extremely easy to move in and move out -- no need for a shuttle. Managers Bob and James were super helpful and flexible; they promptly handled our requests and quickly responded to phone and email messages. Would definitely choose this facility again and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for storage in the Northwest San Fernando Valley. read more

I am happy to say that I was returning an item to storage today, Thursday March 14, 2019, and while the elevator closest to the storage unit was still out of order, they did have both a sign that elevator is out of service AND NOW a map showing how to get to the elevator on the other side of the building. This was much better customer service than a few days ago, when there was simply a sign elevator was out of order with a vague reference to the elevator "on the other side of the building." Having the map there showing WHERE the other elevator is located is a great improvement for customers. Thank you. read more

This location is great. Best service I have gotten from a storage place staff is friendly. Place is clean and taken care of and looks like any other storage place. The are prices are similar to other places around but what made me choose this place was the security I never rented from a place that had alarms on all the units. Plus the hours to access are pretty sweet everywhere else you go they don't let you have access after 6pm at this place is 9pm. I have to get into my storage after work which is 7pm so this place the perfect fit. Totally recommend to check this place out. Perfect place to store my dominator and nipper wheels. Sucks that they seemed under staffed with one guy in the office but they still give awesome service. read more

I've lived in Los Angeles County for most of my life, and over the years I've had several self-storage units. My experience with Storage Etc. in Chatsworth was by far the best of the lot. I originally rented a medium-sized unit a few years ago as I was preparing to remodel my condo and move to a larger home. In addition to ordinary household goods, I needed to store artwork, musical instruments, and electronics, so a climate controlled space was a must. Eventually I rented a second, larger unit. Unfortunately the pandemic forced me to delay my plans, and I ended up renting both units for much longer than originally planned. However, in all that time, I never lost a minute's sleep worrying about my stored belongings. Everything stayed in perfect condition through good weather and bad. Access was always easy, and there was always someone helpful in the office if I had a question or needed to borrow a dolly. In particular, the manager, James, was an absolute standout. When it came time to move my things out he went out of his way to accommodate me and to ensure that things went smoothly. There are only a handful of businesses in Los Angeles that I would recommend wholeheartedly. Storage Etc. in Chatsworth is one of them. read more

I have to say. I don't really like storage units. Moving also sucks. I did have an encounter with Arthur the night security guard. He had an amazing balance of professionalism and kindness. Martin enjoys being in charge and is quick to reinforce charges and costs and has the biggest stories talking about customers.
