I found that Letty was very nice and patience with me. I had no idea what to expect, due to the fact all my arrangement were made in advance over the phone. When I arrived in Chula Vista, CA, she showed me several units and assisted me in my decision in what unit I would need to meet my need. When my items final arrived, she was very helpful with the movers and me. I have been using Chula Vista, Storage Outlet, since I been to this area. I find the staff to be honest and I am very assured of the safety regarding my household goods. When I needed to down side, Letty again, worked with me to make sure I was renting a unit that met my current needs. Whenever I come into her office; she always has a smile and a spirit of helpfulness. She an excellent manager for the agency and she put you at easy. I do not mind paying the additional insurance, because I feel that I'm in safe hands. The facility is very clean and well lit. The hours are very accommodating for me; they are open 7 days a week, 7am to 7pm. I feel that my storage items are safe in this facility, and I find no complaints regarding the care that I receive from Storage Outlet. Storage Outlet was my first contact with Chula Vista, and they represent the business aspect on how one should be treated. My experience with Storage outlet has been nothing short of a nightmare. Recently, my storage unit was burglarized, and the lack of security measures in place was appalling. It's clear that this company prioritizes profits over the safety of their customers' belongings. The facility's security was laughable at best - inadequate lighting and a complete lack of onsite personnel. When I discovered my unit had been targeted, the staff showed minimal concern and offered little assistance in resolving the situation. Not only did I lose valuable possessions due to their negligence, but the company's response was equally disappointing. They dodged responsibility, refusing to compensate for the security breach and the emotional distress it caused. Save yourself the heartache and avoid at all costs. TIP: Buy your lock at Wal- Mart or somewhere else if you want to save $5. Locks are about $15 if you buy from them and just over $10 at Wally World. Liz was so friendly and helpful and continues to be. She showed me 2 storage units before I decided on a 10x10 and got a deal 50% for 2 months, and price goes to normal on 3rd month. I had the option of paying both months in advance or paying month by month, that was a huge relief! They have a dolly you could borrow from 9 to 9 (it seems hours have been extended from past reviews). Although 9 to 9 are convenient hours compared to 7 to 7... It didn't give me much time to run and load things after work hours. My mom used this storage in the 90's when we moved from San Francisco and she reminded me of this place. read more

The property manager paul is a thief. Has master keys to everyone's storage unit. Multiple reports have been filed. We lost over a $100,000 in merchandise. Fraudulently stolen from us. He calls the police to say tenants of over 5 years are trespassing to conceal his brave actions to steal. I would never use this place unless you want your shit stolen.he took what he wanted. He should be arrested for grand theft.we are trying every legal means to get all are belongings. If there are any tenants from this unit that have experienced the same concern we have a number to contact. read more

This was my first storage unit experience, and it was great here! The staff is very friendly and helpful! My unit was on the second floor, but they have easy to use freight elevators that made moving in and out go smoothly. The property is well secured with 24 hour on site security and every unit has an alarm that is activated by your personal code keyed in when you enter the facility. The prices are very reasonable and the location is great for central Chula Vista. I highly recommended the Chula Vista Storage Outlet to anyone who lives in the South Bay area. read more

My unit got broken into over the weekend. when the manager Paul called to ask form me, he was very rude, and very dismissive. he asked if I would like the corporate number. I said yes then Paul hung up on me. The manager Paul, and DM Albert have not been helpful. I have been told this "happens all the time" and that "maybe you'll get lucky and find nothing of too much value was taken". I was told I was not eligible for a refund. I will stand-outside the facility every free chance I get until my money is returned to me. read more
