Very disappointing experience! First, we were seated timely, but we waited 8 minutes (I used a timer!) to be initially addressed by our server. Management clearly is unable to effectively schedule to meet the needs of the restaurant. Second, it was very hot. I don't think their air conditioning was working at all, even though the server said it was just "broken." Management clearly refuses to invest in adequate repairs to meet very basic standards. However, she fixed this one specific issue by relocating us to a cooler part of the restaurant. Third, there is graffiti all over the restaurant. Not just in the restrooms, but even on the walls of the booths. It's clear that nobody values cleanliness here. If it's this dirty in the dining room, imagine how dirty the kitchen is! Fourth, the sound system is terrible. Half of the restaurant is nearly silent, and the half that does have sound is cracking terribly. Is the manager oblivious to atmospheric enjoyability or just plain deaf? Fifth, the booths are terribly uncomfortable. Have you ever tried to sit naked on a pile of gravel and busted glass? These booths are worse than that! Sixth, there were AT LEAST seven lightbulbs out in the dining room. Is management blind? Seventh, the prices are OUTRAGEOUS! Have you heard of inflation? Well, it met up with its evil mistress named scam, and together they produced an illegitimate tyrant baby name SCAMFLATION! That's right, you get sky high prices, poor/slow service, and mediocre food, all of equals SCAMFLATION! Over $100 for two people? Shame! Eighth, this place has NO dining etiquette or decorum! Nearly every patron consumes their food with their hands! The restaurant even provides them with plastic gloves to encourage this childish behavior! Didn't your mother ever tell you not to eat with your hands?! In conclusion, the manager should be immediately fired, have their health cards revoked, and be permanently banned from working in the restaurant industry! Their practices are a safety hazard to others and they bring shame upon themselves and the broader dining industry. It is absolutely unsurprising that the parking lot here is nearly always empty! Terrible place! Shame! Shame! Shame! P.S. Some folks say that I'm "too critical," but what does that mean? Does it mean that I am doing a COMMUNITY SERVICE to my fellow Yelpers? Does it mean that I am doing a favor to the business owner who needs some sharp criticism to save their failing business? Does it mean that I'm pretty much a saint, volunteering my eloquent penmanship to serve the greater good? If so, then I am happily "too critical!" P.P.S. The food was good and prices were fair for fresh seafood. It's a straight up copy of hot n juicy crawfish, which I enjoy. So why am I giving them a one star review? My wife and I were considering oysters. We asked where they were from as oysters vary greatly. The waiter said "Moscow". I didn't get the oysters and I was afraid to ask anything further. Needless to say I felt very guilty eating my meal and won't go back. This place is getting their seafood from Russia, probably because it's cheap. That said, given Russia invaded Ukraine and there are sanctions on trade, I'm not sure that is ok. If it is legal, it's not moral. I really don't want to be supporting Russia's economy right now. If you are ok with that, that's your conscience. Side note, this place appears to be Chinese owned. China is clearly fine with Russia..that said, they chose to come to the USA for its opportunity. My advice would be; take this place with a grain of salt. It's not necessarily bad, but it's also not great...it's very mediocre and I don't blame them. We live in the desert, white America, of Henderson Nevada. Seafood is mainly frozen here from everywhere it's imported from so expect that due to location. My problem however is the pricing, it's priced as if it's fresher or maybe "less frozen" than one would expect. They did provide a great atmosphere and service was also great! When we were unhappy with an extra side dish that was super pricey, which was a whole lobster fresh from the tank, overcooked like a rubbery frozen dish, the wonderful manager checking in on us acknowledged our unhappiness and was so kind to remove the cost from our nearly $200 bill. This was our first time at a Storming Crab restaurant and it definitely did not disappoint! The outdoor and indoor decor is fun and festive, and a great place to accommodate a large group. There was only two of us and we ordered the baked mussels with cajun sauce and the Combo #6 with Mix All Three sauce in mild. Everything was so flavorful, fresh, and delicious! They provide you with plastic bibs and gloves which make the experience more enjoyable and less messy. The seafood appetizer bread they gave us was out of this world! So flavorful!! In fact, after we ate the complimentary bread, we placed a separate order for another basket. Yum! Jade was our waitress and she is hands down one of thee best waitresses! So attentive and friendly! Not to mention she is also the bartender which is great because she went out of her way to make me a BLENDED strawberry Margherita which they don't normally make because the blender they have is specifically used to puree vegetables and sauces. But she did it!!! They also celebrated my birthday by singing and providing a complimentary cheesecake at the end of our meal! We settled on fried okra & hush puppies along with splitting the #4 and #5 combo boil bags! We were able to substitute eggs for corn. The Cajun flavor was excellent! Went there with my girlfriend and all the items we got tasted cheap. We got the fried catfish and scallops, and neither of them tasted good. We also ordered the fried pickles and calamari. The calamari was alright, but the pickles would just slip out of the hard batter when we tried to eat it.
