Came in by myself for lunch one day and got seated immediately at the bar. Took about 5 minutes to order a basket of fried alligator, during the wait they brought out something called "seafood bread" which was probably the best appetizer I've had anywhere. Had to pay to get a second one but the $5 were well spent. The alligator was good for being in Springfield Missouri, can't expect fresh bayou food all the way up here. Overall good experience and the restaurant's rating is too low for what it is, too many people here wanting to complain about gratuities and their high expectations. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. I came in last night for a 1 lb king crab boil, an order of catfish with fries, an order of Alligator with fries, and seafood bread. Our order was $100. When I came in they were closing an hour early because they were slow which I was unaware of at first, but out of respect I asked if they were still serving cause they looked pretty empty. Lady responded with yes and said she was going to seat us, then was just told they were closing early so I couldn't be seated but I could get a to go order. I asked if I could still get the seafood bread (which is a free appetizer for coming in) cause I was pregnant and needed food asap cause I have fainting issues, to which she responded yes. I made my order and I double checked on the bread cause she still hasn't brought it to me while we were observing the menu, and she informed me that I had to order it and pay for it since we weren't sitting in, even tho I asked previously since they were and hour and 15 away from close time and there were people who were seated at the time but we weren't allowed to be seated. It wasn't too big of a deal so I just added it to my order. I get home and immediately realize our order was COMPLETELY messed up. Our seafood bread was undercooked and soggy. instead of getting a whole order of catfish and a whole separate order of alligator, they split the order and did half and half in one container. My crableg boil was supposed to be medium Cajun, but when I got it, IT WAS WATER AND GREASE, no Cajun boil, no flavor absolutely at all. I immediately called and I live only 5 minutes away from the restaurant, and nobody picked up. I called several times and even left 2 voicemails. Being that I was pregnant and needed food I went ahead and made some food and decided I would go back the next morning for a refund. I called the next day and spoke to the manager and explained the situation to him and was told if I called the night before or came back in that they would have refunded me, but they were not going to refund me and would give me a 10% discount the next time I came in. I demanded a discount because I was a repeat customer and wasted $100 on food that was completely messed up and would not be returning for the bad service, because I had called while workers were still there and they refused to answer the phone and had the doors locked. I even offered to show them my call logs, and bring them the food from my trash. But all the mf has to say was "I'm sorry" no sir your not sorry. Their food is too overpriced for the quality anyway, I just hadn't felt like cooking last night but ended up having to anyway and wasted money ‍ don't recommend, there's better places to go to. read more

1 star for the food being good, waitress was super rude.We explained how we wanted the bill split and we asked if she understood just to avoid any mistakes. She walked away rolling her eyes and went to the front counter mimicking our table while they all stared at us. Restaurant also charges gratuity for tables more than 6 without letting you know or warning you about it. We were here and couple weeks ago trying to get seated and they were refusing to accommodate us even though the restaurant was half empty. The manager then came to talk to us and I informed him we would just go somewhere else and he said then go somewhere else. He also put his hand on my shoulder which made me very uncomfortable . We left the restaurant that evening and tried to give this place another shot today. Will not be coming back here. read more

"The" most amazing waste of time and much money. Plus the service was absolutely terrible!. For lunch we ordered the half pound Snow Crab. Which was, essentially half a crab leg and 1 1/2 potato for $32. We ordered "garlic" favor. Got something that approximated Cajun favoring. The crab meat in sauce was to spicy hot eat. We subsequently ordered a Poor Boy sandwich. Which, by the way, was also "awful"! The price for lunch for 4 people was about $145. I do not recommend this place AT ALL. The amount of food served was pretty meager. The price was excessive. I think this restaurant will go the way of its predecessor I.e., vanish. If this is typical of restaurants moving into Battlefield Mall, it's not going to last ether. If you have the choice, go to Mickey D's. read more

I have gone there several times, and it is the best seafood I've had in Missouri. It's quite fresh and is good quality. Their seasonings are very good, and the waiters I have gotten have been very kind. I would recommend this place to any seafood lover! read more

My niece wanted to go here for her birthday because she said she loved the food. The rest of the party were 1st timers. So a couple of us moms went early to make sure they would have enough seating and the board in front of the restaurant said if you purchase $25 of gift cards you get $5 extra towards the bill. My sister purchased $250 worth of gift cards from the manager whom we were speaking with about the 17 people who were on the way. An hour later after we were all seated, the manager came to inform us that the gift cards couldn't be used until tomorrow. That wasn't stated on the board outside the restaurant, that wasn't on the receipt, and the manager knew those cards were going to be used that day for the birthday party. That was pretty shady and I wouldn't recommend doing business like that. That type of behavior put a sour taste in my mouth and I lost my appetite after that, as well as, the other adults so I can't really give a review about the food. The kids had fun which is the main thing. They refunded the gift cards, changed the board outside to let others know about the next day requirements. Do with this as you will. read more

Never again. Not even almost Cajun food. It's like their only ingredient is garlic. SoMuch Garlic. However, our waiter was very nice.

We have been going here on and off since they opened Saturday we ordered food to go after I hot home with the the food there were several problems crab legs were overcooked the garlic butter boil was a joke there was hardly any i had to melt butter for the crab legs the aligator bites were hard as a rock spent over 100.00 dollars i called and talked to the manager Mark his attitude was like so what. It was not a good experience to say the least we were regular customers and have decided we will not go back just like many new restaurants at first they make sure all is great after a while they just do not care about quality of the food read more

I am not pleased I went last night I honestly wish I would have waited till today cause I went close to closing so maybe mybfood was rushed it was not flavorful my corn and potatoes were still hard my shrimp was rubbery as if it had been over cooked and tye only thing that I would say tasted okay was the crab legs which barely had any meat they were very small i thought bratwurst was going to be in it but I believe it was a polish instead which was not good a couple month back I tried my sisters and hers was much better than mines and that meat was not the same for the price I spent I will be giving them a call this morning I expected way better food I am disappointed. read more
