It felt like we were eating inside a cave. Amazing food and great wine selection. The wagyu steak was so savory and flavorful. Staff were amazing! Would recommend this place if you're in town.

Great place for a date night. This restaurant is located inside of a 'cave' at Cliff Castle Casino. The ambiance is quiet and romantic. The menu is small and leaning toward the steakhouse vibe. The food is hit or miss, but mostly on point. The caesar salad with anchovies is delicious, although a bit high for what you get. I ordered the Flat-Iron Steak (Ten-ounce Certified Angus Beef with a Crawfish Beurre Blanc, Smashed Roasted Yukon Gold Potatoes & Grilled Asparagus) and it was crazy spicy, even though no heat level was mentioned. We love the friendly service here and the wine is reasonably priced.

    What a nice atmosphere

What a beautiful birthday treat. A delightful menu and we enjoy the cave dwelling atmosphere.

My husband and I enjoy coming here for special occasions - such as birthdays and anniversaries as the prices can be high. I have tried many items over the years but personally love the salmon and the filet mignon. The staff has always been lovely and personable. And a bottle of Quilt is a must.

Reservation required. Small seating area and time frames. Worth the trip. Burata for an appetizer was delicious. The rack of lamb and diver scallops were both amazing. Except the veggies on lamb but those a red just a side note. The dessert tray is pretty and difficult to choose. Everything was very yummy. The service was great. The atmosphere a little strange but intimate. Go for the food!

So incredibly good! We've eaten here before and weren't that impressed but they have a new executive chef and you can tell! We will be back!

Not only did they give me a wonderful wine recommendation, but they also went above and beyond by creating a special plaque for my mother-in-law, which made the evening even more memorable for her. They even sent me a photo beforehand to make sure everything was exactly what I had requested. I'm so grateful to Moscato for helping make my mother-in-law feel extra special on her birthday. Their thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and customer service were truly top tier.

The artwork shipped from Sicily, the sparkling silverware, and above all: the food! It all begins with a warm herb bread served with a classic olive oil dip. Then, I usually get the Shrimp Scampi and it has never let me down. The shrimp is perfectly cooked, adding a rich flavor to fresh pasta. The server, Pablo, was also very attentive and had great recommendations, including a lemon cake that my parents, who normally don't like lemon flavored deserts, loved. I highly recommend making the drove to Camp Verde if you want to be transported to Italy for a night!

The meal was excellent--the fish topped with shrimp was fresh, beautifully prepared and absolutely outstanding. The real surprise was the August cocktail menu. The drink menu is incredibly creative and sophisticated, with unusual house infusions, fresh herbs, amaros and ingredients you rarely see, even at dedicated craft cocktail bars. My cocktail was beautifully balanced, fresh and herbaceous--not overly sweet--and clearly made by someone who understands the art of a phenomenal drink. Great food, exceptional bar service and a genuinely fun atmosphere. Nic's was one of the highlights of my visit to Cottonwood and a place I would absolutely return to. Highly recommend sitting at the bar! Especially if you're traveling solo with the great service you'll never feel alone.

There were three of us, and did not have a reservation. They offered the bar, which we accepted. Started with drinks. We are at a steakhouse, so went with a classic old fashioned, which was good. Ended up ordering two. For starters, had calamari, the New Zealand Mussels and clam chowder. All were excellent. For dinner, did the bone in rib eye with baked potato. Again, everything was great. The only thing on the steak was that there was a little too much butter. Butter is good, but not in abundance. The ambiance was what you'd expect for an old school steak house, dark interior, booths and a classic bar.

Wow, wow, wow! We've visited Manzanita Restaurant twice now and both times have been…read moreextraordinarily memorable! The owners, Suzanne & Randy, have created a special dining experience in the heart of Verde Valley Wine Country. This hidden gem offers an eclectic menu that truly sets it apart from anything else in the area. To steal my wife's description, "Manzanita Restaurant is a culinary oasis in the middle of nowhere, where flavors collide, and memories are made." SERVICE: The staff is warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. It's obvious that they take pride in ensuring a memorable dining experience. We couldn't have felt more welcome or had better dining experiences on both visits. WINE: Manzanita has a decent selection of wines by the glass and bottle. It's not the largest, but there's something to pair with all dishes. Both times we had a fantastic bottle of Zinfandel from Geyserville, CA, which paired great with our meat entrées. The bottle price is very reasonable, as we used to be members of that winery and know what they charge. FOOD: Outstanding gourmet game specialties and German delights. We've tried several soups, sides, and main dishes and have enjoyed them all. Soups of the Day have ranged from Pumpkin Purée, Ostrich, to Manhattan Clam Chowder. Salads can be added as a side or as an entrée, including adding Chicken Breast or Grilled Salmon. We've also tried a couple appetizers like the Edamame & Roasted Brussel Sprouts In a ginger soy glaze with sesame seeds, and the French Escargot served in mushroom caps with garlic herb sauce. Main entrées we've tried include an Orange Roughy Special with red cabbage, a Manzanita Salad with Chicken Breast, Fried Shrimp, Coconut Shrimp, Bison Tenderloin with vegetable medley, Venison Medallions Special with a creamy mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes, Antelope Steak Special, and a Prime Rib Special. There's nothing I wouldn't hesitate to order again. I'm half German and love German cuisine, but amazingly I've yet to try anything from that part of the menu. They have a couple pasta dishes as well. The restaurant is not overly fancy or extremely modern, but it's slightly upscale, comfortable, and the food and service are both stellar. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking a unique dining experience, this family restaurant won't disappoint. We can't wait for our next visit!

My husband loves chicken Marsala and their marsala was up to his standards. He ordered it over pasta and loved it all. The ambiance is excellent, the service superior (our server was Eileen and she is the best!). This restaurant is a true hidden gem, worth driving to Cornville to eat there. I highly recommend it. I have only the best compliments for this establishment and staff. It is well worth the trip to go there and enjoy!
