I came here with a friend on a Saturday for a light meal at 4:30 pm. We won't be coming back. The food was very subpar in its presentation and taste. See pictures. The way the mac and cheese sticks looked seemed like a joke. They were thrown onto the plate with a plastic cup of dip (which we felt did not compliment the flavour of the dish at all) and wilted shredded lettuce... The sticks tasted very good, though. The French Onion soup was disappointing--it was watery and also looked ugly, with sunken cheese on the top. But the flavor wasn't too bad, despite the texture and being overly salted. The worst was the hummus plate. The hummus did not taste like hummus at all! More like a garlic dip. The amount of it was ridiculous--it was a whole plate of things to dip in it and the tiniest scoop of hummus. We sent it back. The prices for food here are sickening. This ridiculous hummus plate was $14ish, and these 7 pieces of fried cheese were SIXTEEN dollars. Our check was fifty dollars, for soup and fried cheese...? We didn't have any drinks. We were looking for a place to eat late night and found the Parlour Room and we got there only to be told the kitchen closed and no food was available. We met a gentleman outside and he said he worked at the Keg Room across the street, they had a late night menu, and would be happy to make us food. I wasn't expecting a pub to have such tasty frozen cocktails or to whip up a phenomenal turkey burger lathered with cheese bacon and avocado, literal melty gooey goodness (we swapped out Irish cheddar), it was a great choice! The vibe was classical sports bar, a perfect place to catch a game! The best part was the staff everyone was so nice, willing to go above and beyond to make a customer happy, but by far 5 stars go to Colm, he was the nicest, most accommodating server, and ultimately made our late night dinner outstanding!!!! read more

While they did have one wall, the outdoor structure had a full open side and dividers between tables. We opted to sit on the sidewalk as it wasn't raining so didn't need to be in the structure. Massive one level pub with a wrap around bar and a noise level that is above normal in terms of decibels. Don't expect to have a quiet conversation here. Visited last night (also had dinner at The Keg Room a couple years ago) around 6:30 PM and the place was already crowded. Table service is reserved for those ordering food, otherwise--for drinks, it will be a seat at the bar. The atmosphere was cute with Celtic décor and a sports bar feel---many large screens adorned the walls. Staff was helpful and we were immediately sat towards the back of the restaurant. Service was also satisfying with wait staff checking periodically for when we were ready to order food as well as frequent water refills. Happy hour was in full swing and we both opted for their Pinto Grigio at $7.00. A red blend was the other wine option. As far as beer and cocktail specials, I don't have information to offer. Food. We kept it simple but note, the menu was very diverse and offered appetizers, sandwiches, salads, traditional Irish fare, flatbread/pizza, burgers and entrees. We decided to go with one of their flatbreads--the Dragon Fire. In addition, I was in the mood for fries and our waitress suggested to go with the curly, seasoned fries. The Dragon Fire flatbread was sufficient for two with about 4 pieces each. It was quite delicious and prepared with sesame glazed chicken, shaved red onion, garlic drizzle, sweet chili glaze and mozzarella. I really enjoyed the savory and sweet combination (fear not---it wasn't dessert sweet). The curly fries was a hearty portion and I equally enjoyed it. First of all, this is a huuuuge venue! The layout is a big rectangle, with an also rectangle shaped bar in the middle of the room. Prices for cocktails and frozen were in the $14-17 range, beers were in the $8-11 range -- pretty in line with NY expectations. I tried the cherry sour beer, which was pretty good! Didn't taste like cherry in a medicinal way. Music was predominantly 2010s pop/top 40. Lots of huge TV screens throughout the bar. Nice bartenders! There is outdoor eating with heat lamps at several of the dining rooms. The restaurant is right near Macy's 34th street.
