Looking for good meat? This is your stop. The chili has great meat and is tangy. It comes with a bag of Fritos so you can't go wrong. I think it's a little pricey though - $19. The chicken wings are good. They come out hot and flavorful. I've tried the sweet chili and the lemon rubbed. Both are good. They have a large selection of beer, wine, seltzer and cider. Daily specials are posted near the front. The service is quick and efficient. They can split the bill for groups which makes it very convenient. This is a casual racing themed restaurant. Outdoor patio has picnic tables for larger groups. It's nice to sit indoors, too. There's a big parking lot for easy access. I like it here, but because of the price of meat, many menu items are higher than most casual eateries.

I've always considered this one of the best burger spots, which is why it's so disappointing to say that our last few visits haven't lived up to expectations. This time, we all ordered from the specials menu. The BLT sounded incredible--heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, pesto, lettuce, mayo and Dutch crunch bread--but unfortunately, it really fell short. The bacon was chopped and sparse, and the sandwich itself was quite dry. With a description like that, I expected bold flavor, but it ended up tasting pretty flat. It definitely could have used more bacon and more mayonnaise to bring it together. My sister ordered the chicken pot pie, which was also a letdown. While it was packed with chicken, it lacked flavor and was extremely dry--so much so that she ended up just eating the crust. That said, not everything missed the mark. Our friend ordered the Wagon Wheel burger and said it was delicious, which is more in line with what I've experienced here in the past. Historically, everything I've ordered has been consistently good, which makes this recent experience even more surprising. The location is great with ample parking, and the service continues to be excellent. The staff was attentive, even seating us outside and turning on the heater to keep us comfortable. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, though I personally prefer sitting outside since the music indoors can be a bit loud for conversation. I'm hoping this was just an off day because I truly want to keep recommending this place--it's been a go-to for us for a long time.

Came here midday on a Saturday & were able to get seated right away. Solid classic burger & fries ($20ish) and tried their elote special, which was in the spicier side. Service was good, server checked on us a few times and the food came out quickly. Fun, casual vibe.

03/21/2026 One of our friends introduced us to this place, so we met up here to try their burgers for two birthday celebration. What we ordered: -Motorcycle Monkey ($21) -Hatch Back ($20) -Dually ($27) -American Muscle ($19) We all devoured our burgers! I'm not usually a big burger person, but I enjoyed the one I had here. It was delicious! Service: Our server, Gia, was attentive, accommodating, and pleasant. We had a wonderful time celebrating the two birthdays here--can't wait to come back!

When the food is good, the beer cold, people nice, and the vibe is on point, there's no reason not to hang out here a lot. I've spent my share of time here and one of my fav hookups is an American Muscle burger with sautéed onions, fries, a side of chipotle aioli, and an ice cold Alesmith .394. Life is good!

Once again STP hits it out of the park! Today in the specials board...the carnivore. Flat iron with chimichurrr, tri-tip, and a hatch chili sausage. Perfection, tender, flavorful and juicy. Great indoor and outdoor seating, spectacular service. Oh, and the "mechanic shop" vibe is super cool as well :)

This is the filet mignon wedgie salad. Just what I was craving yesterday. Hubby had the burger and fries. Delish!!

When we want great smoked beef, BBQ and brisket, this is where we head. Service is always perfect and food is extra well prepared. Daily special put this place over the top.

Came here to eat before a college football game. The brisket sandwich was good and I really like the barbecue sauce. They have crispy french fries which I always appreciate. I don't know why certain restaurants always seem to get french fries wrong. There are specials board changes, so always check that out and they will have something new. The owner is also on social media with short video clips of the different dishes. He's whipping up.

Came by for a quick bite. We came at a random time so it wasn't too busy. I liked the aesthetic of the restaurant. We seated ourselves and the service was quick. We ordered the elote which was on their specials menu and a burger. The elote had a little bit of kick to it and was pretty good, it came with a side of chips as well. The burger was solid and came with a side of fries and ranch.

This place is AWESOME. Car themed and really cool vibes. Had the chili and the Mexican lager. Chili was the BeST with brisket and a bag of Fritos. The cup was filling but would get the bowl next time because it was so darn good. The service was spectacular and really helped me navigate the menu with my dairy allergy which was much appreciated. The bathroom is pretty rad which is something I never thought I would say.

Came here for lunch we did not regret it. The ambiance and menu catered to gear heads or car enthusiasts. We ordered "lug nuts" which was cheese curds , western bbq salad and the stogie ( Cuban sandwich). Prices were reasonably $19.50 and up for burger and sandwiches. The best part is that the burgers and sandwiches come with fries which is rare now days. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we were trying to decide on what to order .

The food was so delicious. I ordered the dually burger and the brisket that comes in it was so soft and well made. I'd come back just for that. It's a nice chill place, you can seat inside or outside. Easy parking.

Visited 10/18/2023 Wow Hello My San Diego Foodie Friends. I ran across this place a few weeks ago on Yelp and thought it was just another Burger and Beer joint. I spent some time checking it out on The Internet and Yelp. I was intrigued with the menu and response they were getting from different groups of people and decided to check it out for myself. I'm sure glad I did. First I have a Favorite Burger Place in Pacific Beach. The Food Box has the best quality Gourmet Burgers I've found anywhere in San Diego till now. STP Bar-N-Grill for me has tied it up with The Food Box for Amazing Burgers and Fries. They both use Grass Fed Black Angus Beef and both hand form there 1/2 pound Beef Patty's. Both have all Fresh Veggies and make their own sauces. I'm now in love with both places. STP has a menu with a great selection of Specialty Burgers, Sandwich's, And a few Slow Smoked BBQ Plates. Today I chose The OLDS 442 Burger. It's a 1 pound Burger with 4 different slices of cheese, Sautéed Onions, Lettuce, and Tomato. Comes with A nice amount of some excellent Fries, Tots, or Curly Fries. I was definitely Not Disappointed. Cooked a perfect Medium Rare and served piping hot. The seasoning was spot on and the flavor of the meat showed the Quality of The Beef. For Dessert I had The Butter Cake w/bourbon glaze, piping hot with Whipped Cream. Damn that was Tasty. Lots of seating inside and on the patio. Plenty of Free Parking. The food is a little pricy but not for the Quality Ingredients used. Worth Every Penny for a very special Burger Place. Check out my Menu Pictures for prices and Selections. Can't Wait To Visit Again and Try Another Fabulous Burger.

When big sports events are on, they show sports other than that TVs stick with the old school car theme and show programs on cars

    Can I take my dog?

Only service dogs are allowed indoors. However, they do have a small outside seating area (no shade) where you can bring your dog 🐕.

Is there anything fun for the kids to do, games, play area?

Thanks for your inquiry. We do not have kids games or play area. We do have kids meals on our menu.

How's the tap menu? Do they have TVs for football?

I don’t drink beer but what I saw on the menu was a pretty good selection. Yes TVs for games

I visit Havana Grill whenever I want some tasty oxtail.  I noticed oxtail was one of the specials.  Last time I visited the oxtail was on the regular menu and you could order it anytime. Oxtail was extremely tender and juicy.  The mix of beef flavor and the spices in the sauce were delicious.  This is my favorite oxtail dish in town. French fries were crisp and had a delicious fried flavor.  The oil was fresh and there was no aftertaste.  Excellent fries. Pineapple upside down cake was dense and did not have a fresh baked aura.  The outside part was starting to harden like it was getting stale so I guess it was baked at least a day ago.  Cake had a mostly mild flavor.  I didn't taste the pineapple though the top was lined with it.  I did taste a ton of ginger flavor.  It appears pieces of ginger were mixed in with the pineapple.  I love ginger as part of soy/ginger seasoning for fish but not in a cake.  This is one of the worst pineapple upside down cakes I have had.  My favorite is at Roy's where you have to give them 30 minute notice and they bake it to order.  Roy's version was piping hot out of the oven, was moist and fluffy, with amazing pineapple flavor. Staff provided fast and friendly service.

The chicken was cooked well and the sandwich had a solid balance of ingredients. Fries weren't too salty, good amount of potato, fried decently and went well with the sandwich. Al Pastor Fish Tacos (with choice of fries) (7/10) - kind of a small portion and wasn't as flavorful as I hoped, but still good. The fish was cooked fine and the al pastor seasoning was there, just a bit mild. It felt more on the lighter side than bold or memorable, but still an easy thing to eat. Fries on the side helped round it out and made it more filling. Bloody Mary (6/10): It's definitely on the tomatoy side if you like tomato! and a bit spicy.
