Overview: 3.5/5, In-N-Out would be cheaper and less greasy, good variety of food options ---- We were browsing UberEats and had never seen this place before. We decided to try them out and saw that they had a BOGO offer on their Double Original Crispy Burger ($13.85)! We got 2, ordered a side of Half Fries - Half Onion Rings ($6.39), and a side of Ranch ($0.79). ---- Dbl Og Crispy Burger ($13.85) - comes with 2 smash patties, white American cheese, thousand island sauce, grilled onions, and a brioche bun - everything but the meat was pretty great - the flavors were cohesive and creamy which I loved, but the patties were a disappointment - the patties were not crispy and they were SO greasy - with each bite I could feel the grease coat my mouth, it was distracting from the rest of the burger - the greasiness made the burger too heavy and I felt like it needed something else to cut through the fattiness - for the price I'd expected it to be better Half Fries - Half Onion Rings ($6.39) - I really enjoyed these sides - both the fries and onion rings remained crispy throughout the delivery and our meal - luckily, unlike the burger, they weren't greasy - they felt light and not heavy on the stomach at all Ranch ($0.79) - they forgot to include it :( - they threw in some ketchup packets tho ---- Notes: - looking at the other reviews it looks like the food is a couple dollars cheaper if you just go to the restaurant in-person ($11.99 vs $13.85 for a dbl og burger), I know 3rd-party services are typically higher but even ordering directly from their website as a pick-up order is a little higher as well - can't really speak to service bc we ordered delivery, the only thing I would say is that it was sad they forgot our ranch - they have a few booths inside and a couple tables outside for seating too - kiosk ordering available - The ambiance is reminiscent of a fast food burger joint, I like their brown booth seats, they remind me of burger patties - I do appreciate that they serve breakfast all day and they have sundaes and milk shakes available too! ---- Overall: I really wanted to like this place, it was too greasy and they forgot the ranch, I would love try it again but maybe eat dine-in and try out their breakfast items
Came and got a double all American burger with grilled onions and a small fries. It came on a brioche bun American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup and mustard. I opted for grilled onions rather than fresh. It's quite easy to make changes from the touch pad ordering screen. The burger was nicely smashed with crispy edges the brioche bun was soft. The grilled onions, though nicely grilled and delicious were Finley diced, I wish it was a slice of onion that was grilled to give it more substance. The lettuce was also shredded, id prefer a large piece of lettuce. Overall a very meaty and juicy burger. The fries were a little thinner than usual which gives it more surface area and crunch. They are also cooked in beef tallow which is nice. They have their own parking but are located next to ko-li and Yakyudori so it can be difficult to find parking if you go at night. I went for lunch and found parking easily. The place has about 7 tables inside and a few outside. They also have breakfast sandwiches which are served all day. I'll probably come back for the pastrami and egg sandwich.
Cako loves coming up here! She never forgets where she gets her favorite treats! Needed to eat and was in the area. Met up with a friend of mine who lives close. We both had the combo OG with double patties. Soooooooo good! As always, nice crispy fries! When she brought out the trays, there was a little paper bowl with a few pieces of bacon. The same worker who remembered us last time remembered what Cako likes! That was really nice of him! The staff is great! They were also busy since it was lunch time. There were also a number of orders to go. This is one of my favorite places to come to! And as always... Cako Approves!
Smash burger was solid. A little salty for my tastebuds but overall was good. A bit pricey for a single patty burger ($10), and it didn't come with fries or drinks at that price, but it did hit the spot after a day of hiking. Indoor and outdoor seating available, and there's a small shared lot with a couple of other businesses. Ordered off a kick so there was limited interaction with the workers, but the lady who brought our burgers outside was nice.
Felt spontaneous after our Yelp event next door, so we decided to stop by here and give it a try. What caught our attention was the burger was cooked in avocado oil, the fry's and onion ring was cooked with beef tallow. We appreciate that because seed oils makes us feel like boo boo. The og smash burger was great, juicy, massive, cheesy, I'd get it again. Wifey settled for bunless burger and did a protein style and side of onion rings. Very reasonable price and we'll come back cause that thang was bomb!

The best burgers in San Diego. I am a smashburger expert and I have tried a lot of burgers in a lot of places and I was amazed with crispy burger. They nailed it with the smashed meat, toppings and buns. Everything worked well with the food. The service was ok. I made the order myself on the screen and they dropped the food off so not much service going on. The place is small and seems clean. As long as they keep maokg good burgers, I can eat on the sidewalk and be ok.
A fast food delight that comes with avocado oil that you can feel somewhat happy about eating fried food, but I will say their burgers are delicious and my daughter says it's 10 out of five stars. Not too crowded on the weekend and when I ordered this on DoorDash, it was pretty good, but I will say the thing that gives it extra star is that they offer sauces at no cost: thousand island, Ranch, and barbecue. Everything truly is crispy like the fries and the burger and the onion rings so overall they stay true to their name. The price is not too bad comparable to many burger places right now, but you still have competition with In-N-Out and probably those who want a thicker patty. Overall eat crispy burger does his job and my kids love it so I'll probably be back.
Finally tried this spot and I thought it was actually like an Asian burger spot lmao. I had a double cheeseburger and added jalapeños. The burger was delicious. Also had an order of regular fries which were crispy. They were delicious but towards the end you could taste the salt as in it was salty (but they were delicious). I did have a food coma after an hour and fell asleep lmao. I would say the prices are outrageous considering it's only a burger spot. I wouldn't necessarily come here for a burger but I had been wanting to try it.

It's really good!! The burgers are made to order. I had the Bigger Better Mack burger and yes it was better! I would suggest ordering a double patty since they do cook their burgers smash burger style to get tray crisp. I ordered with a side of half onion rings and half fries which I appreciated that I could do because I wanted to try both. Onion rings were crispy and your typical style onion ring. The fries were shoe string style and perfect fried. There are quite a few variations of burgers to order, but the staff was very patient & friendly as we stared at the menu for a bit. There are spots to eat. It's pretty casual and clean. I'd definitely come back and try the other burgers they offer.
I love burgers and when new burger places of the "best burger place" lists come out I want to try them. My husband decided he wanted to get this for his birthday. We ordered online and he went to pick up. By the time he got home the food was only mildly warm. The burger is a smash style burger (thin and flat). To be honest the flavor of the burger was so hard to taste because the bun is so thick. I modified my burger from having: melted white american cheese, grilled onions, crispy sauce (thousand island dressing). I don't get what California's obsession is with thousand island dressing on burgers but I digress. I left the cheese and onions on my burger and pickles (taking off crispy sauce) and added mustard. The pickles were flavorless and did not add anything to the burger. I had fries and they were very crispy on the outside but were still a bit too mushy on the inside for my personal preference. I got the single burger, fries and a drink for $12.98 which I felt was a reasonable price considering meals at McDonald's cost more than that. Overall a mid experience. I don't forsee myself coming back since there are better burger options out there.
In terms of ranking, I'd put this place above fast food for certain. But in terms of smash burgers it's pretty mid. So I can't give it 3 stars fairly. But I wouldn't choose this above the friendly or friends of friends,etc. I can say the food was made with fresh ingredients and the staff was super friendly and helpful. But I found nothing crispy about the patty and to be honest, I felt the burger didn't have enough sodium. The fries were similar to McDonald's but also lacking in sodium. They only had Pepsi... take that how you will. I'm not going to complain about the price because I think that's unfair nowadays. My meal of an OG, fries and a drink was about $20. Stopped by on a Saturday around 6:30pm. Not busy. Smallish size parking lot, but there were spots. There is some outside seating, about 4 tables. Place looked clean and staff was friendly. Ordered the Cowboy Burger. They are thin, crispy, smash burgers, about 3 ounces per patty. Can get single, double or triple. Burger was fresh and hot. Jalapeños we're plentiful. They use a white cheese which was food plus mayo and bbq sauce in this version. It's a great combo and flavorful. I didn't get fries so I cannot comment on those, but the drinks are Pepsi products. If you are a Coke fan then you are out of luck. Burger was solid 4.8 to me. I wish 4.5 stars was an option. Good stuff! read more

The average rating of my group of 6 that all ordered burgers is 3/5. The patties were all a little too charred with bitterness flavor. Cheese felt non existent but was there. Fries were first crispy but still felt somewhat stale. I'd describe it all as mediocre. read more

I was expecting more based on some raving reviews on this place... It kind of hurts to give it this low of a rating but the patty itself is the most bland and flavorless I've had. It's got a really soft brioche bun which was a delight to bite into...however the flavor was just nonexistent. For how much they charge, I fear you'd get a much better bang for your buck at The Friendly or Shake Shack Crazy fries had diced onion and thousand island sauce, cannot go wrong but fries themselves were so stiff and worst consistency sadly. Tasted and felt as if they were frozen still but felt warm to the touch? Service is direct and they keep this establishment clean! My friend and I decided to have lunch at Eat Crispy Burger. The was intriguing to me. As we entered, we were quickly greeted by a young lady. The menu was a large one on the wall. We both decided to try the Original "OG" crispy burger. ( The double version ). The burger was tasty! The burger patty itself is very thin so ordering a double is like one burger to me. Between the soft bun, grilled chopped onions, and the thousand island sauce, it quickly became soggy and a hot mess quickly!! I didn't notice anything "crispy" about my burger, though. It was also on the salty side for me. I believe it would be easier to eat it with a fork and knife. Don't get me wrong, it was a very good burger! Overall, a nice burger place!! It's clean and modern. The trash area was well maintained. Parking is a shared parking lot so it can be tricky. They have extra condiments for your burger or fries. The onion rings looked tasty!! Since high school, I can only recall eating a hamburger once. Today was July 4th and I found myself with an ultra rare burger craving so decided to indulge in delivery. Crispy Burger was open and in my delivery zone, so decided to give it a try. Since I like thin, lean steak I figured that I might enjoy a smash burger. When ordering, I appreciated all the customization options, and added free grilled onions, mustard, ketchup and pickle. Also subbed American cheese with Swiss for $0.75 more. The price for this single burger was reasonable, and the flavor exceeded my expectations. Cooked exactly like I requested with not too much meat to bun ratio. The fries and onion rings were both crispy and not overseasoned. I hear they fry in avocado oil and are a local chain, two pluses for me. Will be back whenever my next burger craving strikes, especially since it looks like they have some yummy milkshakes that I need to try. read more

We had one kid's sliders with fries, two all American burgers with fries, and the California burger with half fries, half onion rings. The food was out pretty quickly and was very good. Good burgers and a good price. Can get a smash burger for like $7 and with fries and a drink around $12. They use avocado oil and they let you know they use it when you walk in the store. Love their all day breakfast menu. Never thought I could have a good breakfast sandwich at 7:00pm. It's a typical fast food place, but just a bit nicer.love the sink next to the tables. I had been wanting to try this relatively new location of Crispy Burger for quite some time. I love a good smash burger and the Crispy Burger in Carlsbad has been a staple in my smash burger rotation. I got the original "OG" crispy burger double style ($9.99) with French fries ($2.99). This came with American Cheese, grilled onions, thousand island dressing and a brioche bun. My meal was ready quickly much to my delight. The burger patties were crisp on the edges, juicy in the middle, and packed with flavor. Self serve sauces were a must with the fries. I liked the chipotle ranch the most. We sat in one of the booths which was quite clean except for some grease on the ground which is to be expected at a burger joint. Workers were friendly and efficient and helped us get boxes and bags to bring our leftovers home. Parking was very crowded up front but thankfully there were a few spots on the side available. read more

Finally dropped in to decide on my own if the hype was legit. A few bites in I determined it was valid. I enjoyed the Cali Burger with half fries and onion rings. Definitely worth the visit and walking out from my car. Note they don't have a drive thru. Service was fast from Jonathan. He's super friendly and hard working. The place was clean and bright. Food here is pretty pretty good. I can't say it comes within range of Swagyu but it is a nice combination of maybe 90% shake shack and 10% jack in the box. Jack in the box is never a bad thing imo. They are accessible, digestiable, well sized and juicy burgeys. The "animal style" fries here are so dang good. Look at that presentation! So much sauce, well mixed with cheese and onions. The fries themselves are a touch bland. They could lose 25% of their girth and be 100% better. Burgers here are decent. They patty has like no flavor or seasoning but that maillard reaction is insane. CWISPY. The burger incredients are top notch, as if they were picked up from the farmer's market. Yo, Let me start by saying the Carl's Jr. Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger (DWBC) has been the gold standard for me when it comes to an onion ring/bbq sauce/bacon burger situation. Tonight, the tides shifted. My DWBC North Star is slowly fading and a new contender may be stealing the shine. First time visit and very impressed. Service is beyond friendly and helpful, clean inside and out, located in a small parking lot next to Starbucks off Convoy. Food was delivered, hot, fresh and quick, husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
