    Honey macadamia chicken $15.50
    Stacy S.

I had read so many good reviews of this place that I just had to try it! They're located off of Sand Island Rd., a little further down on the left side, in a small business center that has other eateries and businesses. Free parking is available in the shared lot, but I can see how it would fill up quickly. When I walked up to the eatery, there were several customers waiting outside. When I walked inside, I understood why. This is a take-out only place. There are no tables inside or outside. Basically you order at the counter, then they give you a number and you wait outside for them to call your number. They make your food fresh as soon as you order, so it will take approx 15 min for your food to be ready, if not longer depending on the number of customers ahead of you. I ordered the Honey Macadamia Chicken Karaage plate for $15.50, which I thought was a reasonable price. It came with rice, a Kings Hawaiian roll and mac salad. The plate was heavy so I knew it was a decent amount of food. When I opened the box, it looked like heaven! I couldn't wait to dig in. The Honey Macadamia Chicken was delicious and moist. The sauce was amazing and the batter was not soggy at all. The Hawaiian roll went well with the chicken. I only tasted a little of the mac salad, but that was good too! I will definitely return in the near future to try their other items.

After the Rudy Ducusin family lived in Vegas for 13 years and worked with top chefs Thomas Keller and Wolfgang Puck, Rudy had a passion to own his own business. The family moved back to HI and started their food truck business in 2019 and called it "Str'Eats of Aloha," meaning that it would be hustling through the streets with their take on Hawaiian and Asian-inspired local comfort food. While the food truck operates at various special events, they have a brick-and mortar shop that opened in 2022 for take-out on Sand Island Access Rd in Kalihi. They also offer catering services. Str'Eats of Aloha offers generous portions of local-inspired plate lunches, bentos, and fusion dishes, such as guava smoked pork belly, pork mozzarella cutlet w/ chorizo gravy, and char siu fried noodles. Breakfast and various desserts are also offered. I had the Str'Eats Bento #2 that included furikake rice, teri beef, shrimp katsu, garlic shrimp, mandoo (2 pcs), and char siu fried noodles. The yakisoba noodles are made locally by Sun Noodles and are seasoned in a homemade sauce and topped with generous amounts of kamaboko, green onions, and chunks of char siu. The noodles are very tasty, and I couldn't believe the generous amounts of char siu (some of them chunks even!), minced kamaboko, and sliced green onions! I even used the leftover noodles for simian! The teri beef was also tasty and tender. I enjoyed the huge piece of flavorful garlic chicken, the jumbo shrimp, and the tasty mandoo! All the items complemented each other well! A winner for sure! Very impressive bento that I shared with my hubby and even had leftovers for another meal! I also tried the pork hash (siu mai) and found them to be of a good size and very tasty! Love that Str'Eats of Aloha partners with the Pork Hash Factory to bring these to us! Customer service is friendly and efficient, with the person taking your order very knowledgeable about their menu items. Prices are very reasonable. As everything is made-to-order, be prepared to wait during peak hours for your take-out; it's best to call and pre-order for fast pickup. A very popular eatery, as you'll always find customers waiting outside for their orders. The small shop area is designed for take-out only, as you wait outside until your order is ready. Most of the shop interior is the kitchen and prep area. The walls near the entrance have photos of their menu items, a blue-and-white menu hangs from the ceiling, a hand-written whiteboard of specials stands on the floor, and a clear refrigerated display case that houses their various desserts. Hours of operation are Mon to Fri 6a to 1p, Sat/Sun closed. Located in a row of businesses with Lunch Box of HI nearby (think of the giant konbu musubi and spicy mochiko chicken), free parking fronting the shop and alongside the building complex is available, which is shared among the various businesses. While parking may be difficult to find during peak dining hours, most businesses there are pick-up and go, so spaces become available if you wait. Str'Eats of Aloha also supports local organizations in promoting Hawaii culture and cuisine. Can't wait to try their other menu items, knowing that that food will be of high quality, flavorful, be generous in portion, in having choices, and be of reasonable cost as to its value. May the Ducusin family have continued success with their business!

Brahhhh so ono! My suggestion is to try everything! My wife and I been coming here from before when they only did food truck events and now that they get one shop off sand island and it's only 5 mins from our house it's even better! Everything is ono and you won't be disappointed.

My go to for the best plate lunches! Every food truck event I go to, I always look for this one! And most times, they're there! They are always hustlin' & always have a line. I mostly visit this truck at Pearl Country Club (now Pearl At Kalauao) for their monthly night market. My #1 to get here is their Salmon Katsu Overload and it's only $20!! It comes with 1-2 filets of fried katsu, topped with imitation crab, mayo, unagi sauce & Taegu! Not only that, salad, a bed of rice, & a kings Hawaiian roll. Overall, great deal for such a hefty plate! I'll definitely be looking out for this truck at my next food truck event!

My husband was scrolling in the yelp app and saw several yelpers yelp this place on sand island access road. So today being a holiday we tried them. And boy the yelpers weren't kidding about the food. Thanks to yelper friend Allen N. He had the pork adobo fried rice and boy hes wasnt joking it was good and alot. My husband had their mini breakfast with bacon. Wow 3 eggs any way you like it made and 2 thick slices of bacon. My husband said it was too much rice for him. But it was good. My fried rice was good in the taste and the pork had some fat and lots of meat. The taste was spot on good. I have the leftover for my dinner and my husband will have smoke pork belly plate for he's dinner. No dessert today I ask the cashier and she smile. Maybe this week might have don't know. Will be back again. Please note: They do make it fresh so be expecting to wait for your food.

After reading reviews from Jo Y. and Allen N. I told my wife let's give Str Eats of Aloha a try. Yes this is simple eatery. An interior is just a display counter for their desserts and a register. Along with a menu display sign. Service was friendly. They had a sign letting you know that food is prepared to order and it would take a few minutes to do your order. I ordered a mini breakfast with Guava Bacon. It came with two thick slices of bacon and three eggs made your way. I also ordered the Guava Pork Belly for my dinner. My wife had the Pork Adobo Fried rice. We both enjoyed our food and would not hesitate to come back.. Lots of food for the price. Jo Y. and Allen N. thanks for your reviews of this restaurant. Enjoy

Str'Eats of Aloha is a hidden gem in the Sand Island area. Generous portions, bold local flavors, and a wide selection. Everything made to order, so be prepared to wait, especially during the lunch rush, the line can get quite long. Highly recommend a pork adobo with fried rice. The taste is ono.

    Town & Country

After following Str'Eats of Aloha for almost an entire year, I was finally able to catch the food truck at the Megabon Hawaii 2025. If you know this place, you're familiar with the large plates of food put out on front of the truck, all consisting of local and asian comfort foods such as shrimp katsu, Teri beef, fried noodles, and more. I ordered the Town & Country, which came with two massive shrimp katsu on a bed or of char sui fried noodles, an order of teri beef, and a large scoop of rice. If you see this food truck, run, don't walk to it. The food is ono, and you'll be wanting more as soon as you wake up from your kanak attack.

I heard good things about Str'Eats of Aloha and decided to stop by for lunch. The young lady taking orders was really nice and patient as I asked about the different plates. I ended up getting two #2 bentos , which came with a piece of shrimp tempura, mandoo, garlic chicken, teriyaki beef, noodles and rice. I also got two guava smoked meat plates and a dozen butter rolls. The plates were $14.50 each, and they are really generous with the portions; the plates were worth the price. The garlic chicken was really flavorful and paired well with the noodles. The mandoo had a really nice umami flavor that went nicely with the teriyaki beef and noodles. My daughter and son-in-law both agreed that the smoked meat was absolutely delicious, but everyone agreed that the butter rolls were absolutely perfect! They were super soft and absolutely delicious! This will be my go-to place for butter rolls from now on. I'll definitely be back to try the roast brisket with gravy because I heard good things about this plate, and they were sold out when I got there.

Located I. Sand island, parking can be tight at peak hours, was lucky , got a spot. Called in order, they do get busy. Ordered, Da manapua special, was winnahazzz. Kinda close to when I was a child. 2 pork hash, fried noodles and fried chicken. I also ordered the lechon kawali, was another winnahazzz! They sell desserts, wanted to get the ube cream puff but I think it's on certain days. This shop is only take out. Friendly staff, and many other specials. Will definitely come back, see you there .

Went to Str'Eats of Aloha and got a Bento #2 which came with Teri beef, Garlic Chicken, shrimp Tempura, Mandoo over a bed of fried Noodles with rice and furikake. ok I've been meaning to eat here for a while and I guess it was worth the wait the Teri beef tasted good although not the flavor of old times it was good. The Garlic Chicken was tasty and the noodles were as good as it gets. The Mandoo was okay but good enough and the Shrimp Tempura was pretty good too. The plate(Bento) reminded me of some old Massive plate lunch spot of long ago was so heavy! Parking was adequate although I can see it get crowded at times. The counter girl was pleasant and made the experience good. I definitely would come back again!

Absolutely mean plates for the money. Can't even finish it in one sitting even though the taste buds want more.

We started with a shrimp elote special and the chicken liver mousse. The shrimp elote was unique and flavorful. The mousse was my favorite thing of the night. So rich and creamy and the cherry marmalade paired so well with it. Love that they provided ample bread to go with it. I had to try the la chancla cocktail - the mayo washed mezcal caught my eye. It sounds a little strange but it was very good and was quite strong. For entrees we got the carbonara and zucchini lemon risotto. The carbonara was really rich and the Portuguese sausage added a nice touch. Looking at pictures of it beforehand I was worried the portion size would be small but it's served on a large bowl making the portion look smaller than it is. The risotto had a refreshing tangy sweetness from the lemon. Both have the option of adding on crispy prosciutto for $4. We didn't but saw some that other people ordered and it looked amazing - next time! One of the servers there provided a great recommendation with a wine pairing for the carbonara and let me try a rose before committing. It wasn't something I would normally have chosen but it worked well and I'm grateful for his helpfulness.

Alcohol didn't light on the whole plate so only had little bit and baby couldn't have any. Think no bourbon next time. Just sprinkle some salt and it would be perf. - Chopped - All kine goodies in this salad but the dressing was very "nothing." I added some garlic salt when I ate the leftovers and it kicked it up a notch. - Chicken Pappardelle - The pasta was terrible. So thick and doughy. Took away from the chicken which was okay. Ended up dumping the leftover pasta...which was pretty much the whole thing. - Oxtail Mac & Cheese - This was more like an Oxtail Helper (like Hamburger Helper). Very not cheesey. Baby ate some but think she wanted more cheese. Tasted better the next day. Friends had the Prime. The temp on each was given to the wrong person, which needed to be right since 1 person didn't get the roasted pot. The medium-rare one was cold. Like COLD. Strange. Overall think they fell a little short on the food. Some things GREAT, some thing the opposite, so balanced out. Will I go back? Of course, but now I know what not to get.

I'd never been to their other locations, so this was my first experience -- and honestly, it left an impression. That spot in Kapolei has seen a few restaurants come and go over the years. Before Scratch Kitchen, there was Sugar Cane, and if I reach far enough back, I'm pretty sure a Mexican restaurant lived there too. It's one of those spaces where you hope the next place finally sticks. But the food at Scratch Kitchen? Absolutely delicious. The kind of meal where the pictures alone make your mouth water. If "smell‑a‑vision" or "lick‑your‑screen" technology existed, everyone would understand exactly what I mean. Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully done, and perfect for a Mother's Day treat. Which is why I can't help but wonder what happened -- like so many restaurants before them in that same location. With food that good, you'd hope they'd be the ones to break the cycle. All in all, I'm grateful I got to enjoy that meal with my daughter. It was memorable, delicious, and one of those small moments you hold onto. Marie
