This place is just so awesome! We frequent here when we come to Greenwood to visit family. We love supporting local coffee shops! The staff at strange brew is so nice! Every time we have been in here the entire staff is super friendly & always up for a friendly chat! The brews at strange brew are unique! We appreciate the different "flavors" of beans like pumpkin spice! Strange brew fits right into our keto lifestyle with their beans! They're roasted to have flavor but don't have sugar! It was a win & a treat for us to have pumpkin spice drip coffee & heavy cream but not the sugary PSL latte! They're also pretty much the only coffee shop in town (Besides you know who with the green lady logo) that's open on Sunday! Can't say enough good things about strange brew! read more

Really great little place. The drinks are creative and tasty... I have tried both the Peanut Butter Cup and Fruity Pebbles blended drinks, and both were really good. On top of the beverages, the small food menu is also very good (bagel sandwiches are always a good idea). The decor is quirky and the service is friendly. Great place that is a hidden gem in a non-descript strip mall. Once you walk in the door, the smells, the setting, the paintings and the ambiance surprise you. Original and creative art is available for purchase on the walls. The aroma of roasted coffee and freshly made croissants waft through the air. The staff is friendly, there's a great selection of both coffee and non-coffee drinks, and there's plenty of seating for meetings or hunkering down to get some tasks done. I stopped in this quirky strip mall coffee shop that has a unique vibe that feels cool and fun. Lots of consignment art on the walls; an array of seating chairs and couches, and interesting music playing, loud enough to be heard, but not stifle conversation. I started with a cup of coffee and a Sausage and Egg (w cheese) croissant. Even the simple cup of black coffee let me choose from five flavors. The heated cup was handed to me after placing my order at the counter on the rear right side. I was encouraged to sample the different flavors, settling on the Morning Blend. While I waited, the croissant was heated and brought out to me at a location I selected. The croissant was especially light and fluffy. The sausage patty had a hint of Rosemary which made it take on a slightly different flavor from traditional breakfast sausage. Overall, a very nice option! I wasn't finished with my coffee, so I decided to try out one of their many flavors of muffins. I opted for a blueberry. Nice size and fresh tasting, I liked that the blueberries were still moist. They offered to heat the muffin as well, which I recommend as well. My coffee order was for a single cup. If I wanted refills, they were an additional 50 cents and were self serve. The only waiter activities were delivery of heated items and clearing of plates and utensils after you leave. Strange brew, where have you been all my life?! Or at least since I moved to Indy. A friend and I met here for coffee and to spend the morning together. She suggested it and said I would like it. She was soo right! It's got a fun, almost hippie vibe inside. Very colorful. We ended up staying for a few hours, and had a wonderful time. Definitely a great place to meet friends, study, or just stop in for a drink! Their menu is big, but not overwhelming. Anytime a coffee place has a coconut drink you can bet that's what I'm ordering. Their coconut drink is the 'Almond Joe'. Loved the name, loved the drink. I got mine blended because why not. And I love a good breakfast milkshake, sorry I mean frozen coffee. read more

This place is real cool. I just googled for coffee nearby and stopped in because it was the closest. Vibe is definitely chill. I love the artwork all over the walls and the funny signs. The aquarium was different! It's quirky and eclectic. Definitely makes you intrigued and want to stay! They had a lot of sugar free syrups available which was a huge plus for me. I got an iced chai latte and it was good. I wouldn't say it was amazingly fantastic though. Still hit the spot! They have pastries and food which we didn't have a chance to try. I couldn't get the wifi to work for some reason while I was there. I ended up talking with my friend which is much better anyways. Definitely worth visiting just for the chill vibe. It's quiet. Love the atmosphere, the people are very friendly, the staff is SUPER fast at making drinks, it's not anymore expensive than Starbucks, and the best part (and what keeps me coming back) is the coffee tastes so amazing. I am obsessed with the white chocolate caramel and the Mark. I always get mine iced. It's like a weird mix of sweet tasting coffee drink but strong, good coffee flavor at the same time which I love. It sounds silly but the days I get to stop at strange brew on my way to work are my best days at work lol. Upon entering Strange Brew, you are warmly greeted with a cozying arrangement of couches, walls full of colorful art, and a personality that is both quirky and proudly local. I frequent Starbucks, so if I were to personify each experience, Starbucks would be a young professional - pleasant and efficient, but maybe not the friendliest. And Strange Brew would undoubtedly be your fun aunt with a hospitable, care-free spirit. Super cute coffee shop! They have couches and comfy chairs that give it a really cute atmosphere. If you stay in the coffees are given out in different colored mugs. I'm not sure why I love when restaurants and cafes do this. I just don't like drinking out of plain white mugs I guess. I got a large Americano that was only a little over 3$ which is really affordable compared to a lot of other coffee places I go. They also have breakfast foods, I didn't try any though. Woke up this morning to news that a close friend had passed and was having an awful start to my day. I get to the register, a very friendly worker took my order and let me know it was actually called the Blonde Bombshell. I was shaking and having a hard time getting my card out of my wallet. The girls asked me if I was okay because even though I was trying to keep it together I was visibly upset. I shared with them that my friend had passed and they sympathized and let me off the hook. When my drink was done they even put a little blue dino on my cup to make me smile. It was a small act of kindness that made all the difference to me. Every time I come to get my latte here, they have the best service. The drinks are always on point, the crew behind the counter are some of the nicest people- and not squeaky voiced customer service robots that just wanna take your order and get you out of there, and the space is always clean and smells good. You are immediately met with colors, furniture from a thrift store raid, a fish tank and a hello from the owners or staff - all friendly. Strange Brew has become my go-to study spot on any day off I find. Order, find a table and wait for them to bring it out. From there on out you are not bothered or glared upon to buy other items or leave. Strange Brew does what is often forgotten, so well. They know when to serve and when to allow freedom. They provide a place to come, buy a cup of coffee and do what you need to do, uninterrupted. This is not to say they aren't there, attentive, or unhelpful but rather uphold the age ol' "if you need me, I'll be right over here". The coffee is great ($1.85/50 cent refill). The lattes are great (good espresso and terrific foam) and the blended drinks are quite good as well! Strange Brew feels strange at first (fitting eh?) but slowly feels more normal than any other coffee shop I've been. This was my first visit to Strange Brew after a friend recommended it. The coffee drink was delicious, I got an iced caramel drink based on the recommendation from the barista. The ambience is cute inside. The reasons for my four stars instead of five is because there were few places with outlets and I had come there to work, and there was a very large group of women meeting together for some sort of group but they were very loud. I realize it's a coffeehouse but I felt like this group of women was a little louder than what they needed to be. It made it difficult to stay and work so I had to leave. Overall, great little place! This tiny coffee shop on the south side is totally hidden, but worth it if you happen to come across it. I stopped in to grab a quick latte and prefer to support a local establishment over big business. They staff was very welcoming and friendly. It took no time to go over the menu and figure out what I wished to order. Ordering was simple, but one part confused me. I ordered a Grande latte with coconut milk and the person taking my order had to ask if that was a medium size. That was a first for me as I've not experience that before at a coffee shop. Their service was quick and efficient. The inside decour was cute and kitchy, but nothing really stood out. I had ordered a Caramel Latte with coconut milk. Loved that fact they had coconut milk, because I find almond milk kind of muddies the espresso flavour. The latte itself was okay, not bad but not the greatest either.
