We came to Stratos today to see how things have changed. We haven't been here in a while. There were alot of changes that were just right for this place. The feeling was a feel good place. There is a lot of late night entertainment throughout the week. Dancing, belly dancing, DJ......you name it, they have it after 8pm. We came too early today at 5pm. But we are glad we did. Service was great and the food was fantastic! Huge portions and flavor. We will be back after 8 pm to partake in the fun! If you are close, you should too! See the pics of the food. Been years since we been to Stratos. We stopped for Saturday brunch. Place was very glam-y. The service was ok - they were really trying. I'm sure their service is prob more equipped for night time service since it was empty when we got there. The food came out at different times for a large group so half of us were done eatting by the time everyone got their food. They also changed the menu they had a variety of options and I loved that the menu had photos of everything so you knew exactly what you were ordering. Would I go back anytime soon? I have passed by this place for decades and always wondered what this place was, but never went in. My boyfriend wanted to go. It is a very strange looking place, it was like a club/sports bar/ restaurant. There weren't many people in there for a Tuesday dinner. It was a bit strange. To my discovery, they had a ton of Vegetarian/vegan options! Their menu was a mix of greek and Mexican food. I got the vegetable kabob on top of a bed of rice with pita bread and hummus. All i have to say is O.M.G. The food was amazing!!!! This was so good! The staff was nice, we had three servers helping us that night. I absolutely love Stratos! Their food is great! It's an interesting restaurant because it feature two types of food option. Your choice of either Mexican or Greek. Both are solid options. My personal favorite here is the pozole! I dare say one of the best in town! Few others even compare. For the Greek I like a Gyro and Tatziki as an appetizer. The service is fairly decent though if it is busy it can be a tad slow. Don't be afraid to give them a friendly reminder if needed. The place itself is cool because there is lots of space and has a disco ball in the center. The place turns into a club at some point in the night. Might just be on weekends. I recommend trying the margaritas for drinks especially if you go during happy hour! It has its own parking lot so unless it is packed it shouldn't be an issue. read more

Would give zero if I could. Restaurant had at most 20 people in it including the staff and we only had 3 in our party. Waited at least half an hour in this mostly empty restaurant while they blasted sad pop songs of a YouTube playlist. Food came out lukewarm and the person in our party who ordered the sampler platter instead got 3 pieces of spanakopita sitting on a lonely bed of iceberg lettuce, and our waitress didn't even realize the order was wrong. We asked to send it back and she said the chef must have "gotten confused". Waited another 5-10 minutes for the correct order which was the same spanakopita with the rest of the sampler plopped on the plate. Someone who was not our waitress came by to ask how we were doing and I asked for a manager. This woman said she was the manager, so I asked her to please comp us the sampler platter considering how long we had to wait only for it to be wrong. She said she would see what she could do and came back later to tell us she couldn't comp the sampler because it had been eaten. I told her I didn't believe her but whatever. She left and came back with another person who asked what the issue was and we repeated ourselves. This new person said she couldn't comp the platter because we had eaten it and she would "get in trouble". I'm convinced no one we spoke to was actually a manager. Comping a dish is the easiest thing in the world to do. Restaurants do it all the time. They even suggested some confusing scenario in which we could have been comped for the platter if we had sent it back and...ordered something else? It made no sense. read more

I have heard about this place for a long time now, but I never thought to give them a try, but since I have to find a decent gyro sandwich in the Dallas area because my go-to gyro place in the Bishop Arts area pretty much gave up cause of covid. They only open up from 4:00 - 9:00 pm and there are times I just don't feel like driving down to the Bishop Arts District during that time, so anywho, I think I found my new gyro place. I was in the area, so I called in the order and once I got there, it was ready. I wanna say it was around 3:00 pm-ish and it was dead. I think they had two patrons at the bar, and that was it. I am sure this place picks up during the evening. I say that this place isn't really in the best part of town either, so there ya go. So I got the sandwich home and man, I was really impressed with the way the sandwich looked and the fries were perfectly cooked. I think I have found my new gyro place in the Dallas area. We went here about 8 years ago. I remember liking the food and having seats sort of raised up from the stage. We just wanted dinner, and were treated to some belly dancing, which was neat. It was a little run down then, but we thought it was a fun dining experience. It's changed since then; it's not so much a place to go for dinner, although you certainly can and we did, but it's most definitely more of a night club. The inside has been seriously updated. It used to be a little run down but it's super pretty now. White walls, white cushioned counter fronts, mirrored surfaces, new lights, a Texas-sized disco ball, fun lights and decorations, a raised DJ booth, and a stage. It's most definitely set up as a night club, even offering bottle service. We just went for dinner expecting the same as before. We got there at 7 on a Saturday night and it was dead. The staff turned their heads as we walked in surprised to see us. I made reservations but you most definitely do not need them. We were seated in a "VIP" section, but that's only because no one was here. Not entirely true- 2 other couples were here having dinner, but it's super awkward. I also want to note that while the place has been updated, the table itself is most definitely not. The tables are very well-worn, to put it nicely. But they were the only out of place thing in the restaurant/club. A few other people did filter in over the next hour, but we got the feeling this place isn't meant for dinner. I should have known as their hours are super late like 2 or 4 AM so, not a place for middle aged people to grab dinner. The drinks were good - I got an "Old Blue Eyes" which is vodka-curacao-lemon martini. She got a regular martini. Both good. She got a shrimp dish, I got the lamb chops. We both liked our dinner, they were good but I remarked that it was about as good as say, a resort we once went to. The kind where they claim to be 5-star, but water down the drinks and hound you to buy a time share. That kinda place. Not bad, but not worth the trip. This is a very interesting restaurant and bar. I took my friend here for her birthday on a Friday evening because this is where she wanted to go. We wanted to book a table for 13 people which we were able to. This restaurant turns into a club around 10pm but before then they have belly dancers as entertainment if you go there to eat. Parking is ample if you come early and they also valet at night. The restaurant has 2 stories which is really cool. I'm sure it's a great place to be in the summer. The food was okay. Not too great and not too bad. The octopus was actually very flavorful which was so surprising. Since this is a restaurant/bar, I wouldn't recommend children coming here at all. Even during the day. The atmosphere just isn't suitable to kids. Overall I cant say I had a great experience but it was nice to try out something different. They know how to make you feel special! My family has had a 50th birthday and retirement parties there. Great ambiance and food! During my mother's retirement party, it was a belly dancing palooza! Lol We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Reserving was also a breeze when you call in. I just called a week prior to my event to make sure everything was still good to be on the safe side... but that's just me... It's Thursday night and Dallas is shut down due to a snow storm. I'm here on business and this was the ONLY place open. When I called around 6pm to see if they were open, they made sure I knew they were open till 2am haha. It's difficult to pen how amazing this place was. Greek restaurant, but with house Hispanic music playing and a killer dance floor highlighted by the worlds largest disco ball. I sat in the vip section, the only person in the restaurant this night so I selected prime seating. As a stereotypical midwesterner I stuck to comfort food, a lamb gyro for the ages. They didn't skimp on a single topping, fully loaded and filling. Most gyros leave you not quite full, but not this one. Ok, this place used to be fantastic. Come here all the time. I think with the change in ownership, things have shifted and not for the better. We got seated quickly and they took our drink orders immediately. Awesome. After that it went downhill. We didn't have anyone come by to take our order for roughly 25 minutes. We finally got up to find someone to see if they could take our order. Even that took a little while. Once someone showed up and took our orders, we got our food in a decent time frame. It then took forever for them to bring us our checks. Also took forever to run the credit cards. I don't know what was going on. We thought we were getting punk'd. ThIs is a first.... We picked this restaurant because it happened to be nearby and open late. We had to get patted down to enter. Oh boy! Nothing say "fine dining" like being frisked by 4 armed policemen with bullet-proof vests at the door! The host said it was a Special Event. Call ahead and make sure it's just a regular night before you come. LOL This is a Greek Mexican restaurant. Appetizer: Hummus - Ample portion size. Not bad. Not the best we've had Soup: Lentil -- Very tomato sauce based. Maybe this is the Mexican influence Entree: Beef Fajitas from the Mexican side of the menu. CRAZY HUGE PORTIONS. They would be a 3 star, but they get an extra star for this alone. Then, the Live Band showed up at 11:30pm ... with a full over the shoulder tuba player and two guitar players. Disclosure: This was my first visit to Stratos (lunch). Stratos is a Greek restaurant that features a large bar, dance floor, and outdoor seating. It's a fusion of a night club and restaurant. My Overall Rating - 2 Stars (Atmosphere, Food) Atmosphere - From the road, Stratos is a big white/blue obviously Greek restaurant. Upon entering the main dining room is very dark. It's like eating in a night club. There is also outdoor seating. While we were there for lunch, we could tell that this place is meant for night life. According to the waitress they have belly dancers on weekends. If you're into that, then add a star to my rating. As for me, I would rather just have eaten in a brightly lit place. 1/2 Star. Service - While our servers were nice, it did take them awhile to come by check on us. My drink was never refilled and questions about the menu were redirected to menu description. I had a feeling that if I had a question on alcoholic drinks they could answer it. Overall I was not impressed. No Star. Food - We had lamb souvlaki which was way too dry. However, their pita sandwich was superb. The lamb gyro meat was well seasoned and juicy, the vegetables were fresh, and Tzatziki sauce was very well balanced. It was served with fries but we wished we had ordered the salad with it instead. Also ordered the moussaka. This was also very good. It had a pillory/creamy top with a nice mix of beef and eggplant. I enjoyed this as much as he pita sandwich. 1 1/2 Stars. Will I Return? - No. Unfortunately we always wanted to try Stratos, and now that we have we won't be back. No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I'll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star - Service - You can have a great meal with bad service. But that's also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It's important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars - Food - I'll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it's really all about the food. 1 Star - Will I come back? - If I know for a fact I'll return, I'll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food (2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I'm a Foodie & this is good Greek food. We had the "Meat lovers' Gyro Plate" which is piled high with perfectly seasoned, tender lamb, and the Makaranopita Plate which is feta spiked macaroni baked in layers of flaky phyllo, served with a Dolma, Pita bread and sautéed garden vegetables. Portions are large & yummy. Happy hour runs M-F, 11am to 7pm. We are definitely going to check them out for weekend brunch. The staff is very friendly. I totally agree with other reviews that this spot looks like a strip club on the inside. Also, the club music is "bumpin' up in there" :-) The decor is over the top cheesy and my hubby says that the "booths" are actually old strip club booths. LOL!!! I'm super bummed to have to write this review because we used to love coming here. I think they got bought out because it's completely different. My fiancé and I came here on a Wednesday night around 9:30 and we were the only table in there. After getting our drinks and food, we were completely ignored the whole night. No one came and asked us how the food was, if we needed any refills on our water (which we did), more drinks etc. My fiancé had to get up to ask for a to go box after some time went by and the waiter dropped it off without acknowledging if we needed anything else. It felt like we were an inconvenience for them. I've been a server before and no one had server etiquette. Hands down best Greek place I've been to. Love the vibe, the prices (especially happy hour), the food, and service. Food: S/O ordered a gyro sandwich and he loved it. Said there was a bit too much taziki sauce on top, though. We also got the Avgolemono Soup (which is lemon, egg, and rice soup) which was supremely good for someone who doesn't like egg drop soup! I got their chicken lemonatto, which was AMAZING! The rice was a little salty, but the chicken was sooooo soooo flavorful. It was also the special for the day (about 8 bucks), score! I ordered two margaritas before my meal, which were not that strong. That's my only sore spot. But we ordered it on happy hour, so super strong drinks aren't expected. Serviceable Greek food at fairly high prices. I keep coming here because the parking is ample and its fairly easy to eat low carb or keto. When I'm eating low carb, I eat get the lunch Greek salad (9.95) with gyro meat (another 5.95). Spending 16+ dollars on a salad at lunch is pretty steep, though I will acknowledge the portion size is large and the gyro meat tasty. I wish they would make their own dressing instead of offering the overly sweetened store bought balsamic. When I'm not eating low carb, I request the Greek salad with falafel instead of meat. 3/4th's of the time, they can't figure out how to bill it and end up charging me for a salad and entire appetizer of falafel. I now keep a past receipt in my purse so I can prove to the waitress that's not the way it's done. The saginaki, or flambeed cheese is typically fun and shared by our lunch table. The issue is that half the time the waitress doesn't get it lit and it's just kind of soggy and warm. It's worth a lunch visit, just be prepared for a hit, miss, or mix of both every visit. read more

Pretty decent, but not great gyro. In fact, when we went there today all of us were talking about it did not seem as food as it used to, so that amounted to all five of our opinions. I know Howard Stern proclaimed them to be the "Best Gyro In Dallas" and I will say to that he probably has not tasted that many gyros in the Big D. I also am not a fan of their Tzatziki sauce. It was a bit too chunky for me and lacked the flavor I have come to expect in a great Tzatziki sauce. I don't want my review to sound like a slam though, they are decent and do have some fantastic menu items and it is a fun place. read more
