I am such a fan that I try local Pizza Guys wherever I go and will even endure the long wait times because the wait is worth it. Unfortunately, this spot was not worth the wait (an hour and a half to be exact). There were plenty of good things to say about the staff and the hustle you can see behind the counter. However, my main complaint is that the Pizza Guys franchise normally has a unique crust to it and their crust tastes like a cheap box of pizza crust. The cheese was oddly over salty and the red sauce tasted so bad. Was it edible? Yes. But not the same. In their defense, it was a Friday night and there was clearly a rush to get the pizzas out to the angry customers waiting. I will cautiously try once more on a less busy day, but being a Sac native the food in this town overall does not meet my standards. So far it doesn't meet the standards of what I know as my endearing (and odd) nostalgic love for Pizza Guys.

If this location is under new management because the previous management was going "downhill," then they must be trying to set a new standard for "downhill." If you order from here, expect something to be wrong, expect it not to taste right, and expect to have a problem communicating, especially if you call in. Domino's corporate, if you're reading this, Eddie alone was worth all the new employees x100. He deserved a raise or, at the very least, to stay.

She's doesn't like pizza sauce, but the flavors were very subtle with a little sweetness. The interior does look cafeteria like with a few arcade machines. Though quality is good, price is a bit high. I can get a large at a number of spots around town for less. But sometimes you want quality over quantity. I've never eaten at the establishment, but have always waited for my to-go order. They tend to play pop-country music fairly loud, which competes with the Mexican place next door. Clashing loud music is never a good thing. Keep it ambient and neutral. They always want to give me a plastic bag with paper plates and utensils. Great if I asked for them if I were going on a picnic. But I'm just bringing it home, so no need so better to ask ahead of time instead of bringing it to me at delivery. Just a thought. People there are mostly nice, or at the very least, just above indifferent, what you might expect from young people now days. I'll be back. Not open on Mondays.
