My boyfriend and I come here often and I always stop by to grab a salad while on my lunch break. the pizza is always excellent and my favorite part.. the salad bar! There are so many great toppings and fresh greens. But what makes this place great is the staff! I misplaced an order once (my fault) but the manager was so kind and took care of me! On a side note, I would not recommend ordering through Yelp or GrubHub, unfortunately if there is an order error they are not able to correct it at the Straw Hat level. This pizza is the worse pizza I have ever tasted! The person who answers the phone to take orders cannot understand English very well nor can he speak it fluently. The pizza I ordered was incorrect and the man who took the order could not help me. This remaining location is kind of obscure and off the beaten path from central Fairfield nearer the AF base in an industrial area. I previously hadn't known of it's existence until I saw the sign-spinner guy advertising the place from the Airbase Pkwy & Horizon Dr. intersection. $7.99 for all you can eat luncheon special seemed like a pretty good deal. I entered the somewhat cramped-quartered restaurant. Looks to be owned and operated by a middle eastern family, whom I found cordial & efficient. The pizza and salad bar were just OK. Pizza tasted boxed like a step or two above the best frozen varieties found in supermarkets. The salad bar was a little messy, lacking in toppings, and otherwise unremarkable. For under $10 with a drink however, it definitely got the job done. Bargain eats spot when you're hungry. I would and will return if in the area again. Passable & recommended overall. Ordered 2 pizzas over the phone, the employee on the phone told me it would take 30 minutes. Drove over there 30 minutes later to pay and pick up the pizzas. Employees did not know how to work the register and the pizzas had even been made. Had to stand around for another 30-40 minutes to wait for them to make the pizzas. Finally took the pizzas home, they were comparable to Domino's and overpriced. Terrible service and mediocre food. I will not be returning. read more

Love the food! Service is always really nice. The manager, Veronica, is a sweetheart and really helpful. My recommendation is the chicken bacon ranch or classic veggie with white sauce. the boneless buffalo wings and the garlic twists are a nice appetizer option. It wasn't terrible, it's certainly edible. I also figure the location itself probably has a much better atmosphere. After waiting almost 2 hours I though for sure it would have been worth the wait.....it wasn't. Awesome! My husband called in an order for us and asked them if they would make a customized salad and they said they could. We asked for the garlic twist to be extra garlicky and cheesy. Simple pepperoni pizza with extra sauce on the thick crust. It showed up in a reasonable amount of time, food was hot, and everything was make perfect. We ordered the chicken ranch pizza and requested no bacon. We had our son pick up the pizza and when he got home we discovered there was bacon all over the pizza! We called and spoke to the manager who told us to bring the pizza back and they would reimburse us and give us a pizza on the house. My son returned the uneaten pizza and they not only reimbursed us for that pizza but our entire order (we ordered another pizza)! I was pleasantly surprised! We've always loved coming here. Worst pizza & salad bar! Bad customer service. No one was even at the counter to take our order. Only old pizza to chose from. Tables are dirty. The pizza that did come out was gross. Wilted salad. I usually order from Pizza Guys but idk why I ordered from here! I placed an order online to be delivered to a business but here comes the driver calling me stating "there's roadblocks" and he can't deliver. I call the store because the driver mentioned he was taking the food back(mind you he did not speak English well) and whoever the lady was(sounds Latin) mentioned to me that he was there but couldn't drive up. She tried to correct me and say that the driver is gonna deliver to whatever address I put (understandable) but she almost made me want to feel dumb as if I put a wrong address. I contact the business owner who the food was being delivered to and asked him "if the road was closed" and he said no. He didn't understand why the driver couldn't deliver. So I call the restaurant and request for a refund and the lady was just so rude telling me I have to call "GrubHub" ok. So the driver calls me back still trying to deliver and honestly, this has never happened with any other restaurant that has delivered to this location! In the end, the driver apparently was on the other side of the business. How does the driver miss a business that has their name written in BIG BLUE LETTERS? The fact that this order was for someone else and there were issues to this leads me to leave this review and go about my day. read more

I ordered a large half cheese-half hawaiian pizza to be delivered to my address which is not far from the location. After waiting an hour and thirty minutes for a pizza that was supposed to arrive in 45-50 minutes, I called the location again. The person working the register told me that my order was never sent to the kitchen and I'd basically been waiting an hour and thirty minutes for nothing. I had to call back and be notified, so there was no follow up by the workers to make sure that my pizza was delivered. Pizza Guys may be a lesser quality pizza, but they've never given such poor service. This is absolutely a place I will never order from again. read more
