Called to order a pepperoni pizza and some wings to be delivered. The guy said 50 minutes and it would be there. An hour and a half later I called and he had a horrible attitude but said it was on the way and hung up on me. 30 minutes after I called the pizza finally arrived but was barely even warm and the wings were soggy. If I could give them less stars I would. Horrible service and mediocre pizza make this the worst place I've ever ordered from. I will not be returning to them in the future. read more

About two days ago, me and my family ordered a half an half medium pizza from the place. with my and my mother enjoying The Works, and my little cousin enjoying a pepperoni pizza. After about two hours or so, both me and my mother got food poisoning from our half of the pizza [thank goodness my cousin didn't get it.] and let's say things got messy because of that. BEST PIZZA EVER!!! I have been here a few times and am obsessed! The salad bar is amazing and is always fully stocked with really fresh ingredients. Whenever I needed something or wanted more of an ingredient, the staff was always very helpful and accommodating. After the salad, j always go for the bread twists, which are amazinggggggg- a must have when you go. Then comes the pizza- really fresh ingredients and always warm and delicious. Finally, the pizza cookie is the best way to top of the meal! The staff here is so nice and was so attentive to what I needed and the service was great! Will definitely come back here! read more

The wife and I went to straw hat for the lunch buffet. The pizza looked and tasted like a frozen pizza from the grocery store. There were a lot of TVS on the wall, none with the volume up, none with closed captioning turned on. While we were there, a customer came in to return her pizza and side order, she complained it was cold and nasty...she was most likely right and like my wife and I, most likely not going to return. read more

Me my sister and brother ate here earlier for lunch then we left no less than 5 minutes, i just realized i don't have my wallet...we called them and they said they will check on it, we got there and they have my wallet but my $100 cash is missing. They review the camera, of course they're not gonna check it in front of the camera!they said,the guy who work's there,saw the wallet and took it to the office. And i ask them if they saw my $100 bill, coz it's not there, they said they don't know! How the hell did that happen? when they told me,what they do is saw the wallet and put it in the office right away... So i'm asking them who took my money? and the owner said they don't know?! C'mon if someone didn't try to open my wallet the money was still there!!! This is not right! Is this what u do on your customers? I was working near this Straw Hat pizza during their lunch buffet so I decided to try them out. When I got to the pizza, there was some obviously old pepperoni pizza and a few slices of combination. I took one plate, ate it, and they finally brought out another pizza, which was gone in about a minute as several people were waiting for more pizza. 20 more minutes and zero pizza came out. The employee came out several times to clean tables and such so they knew they had nothing but a couple slices of crusty pizza that were there when I had walked in. So, if you want to pay for a pizza buffet and eat only salad(which didn't look good either) then go for it. This is a poor excuse for a pizza place and management obviously could care less as they haven't responded to any of the yelp reviews or made changes to improve their customer service. I will not be back unless I hear of significant changes. read more

If it was remotely possible to give a 0/5 stars I would in a heart beat, I placed an order around 6:30 through the Slice app that they use for online ordering and got a confirmation that it would be 65 minutes. An hour and 15 minutes passes by and so I decide to call and ask what the status of my order is and the girl on the phone told me that they had just received the order within the last few minutes so I tell them to cancel it and give me back my money and I was told to contact Slice customer service for a refund which I did only to find out from the woman from customer support that they in fact call the pizza place when the order is placed to confirm that they have received it so I was pretty much lied to on the phone the the girl and they confessed to the customer support woman that they were "busy" at the time of confirming the order so they never put it in. I know from experience of working at a pizza place back when I was in high school that working at a pizza place is not that difficult so I don't know what is going on there if is because the employees are forgetful or what. I won't be doing business with these idiots any longer especially now that I have to wait 3-5 days for a refund read more

A really well run Straw Hat location. The food is well made, the salad bar always fresh. They have a lunch buffet special that is 6.99 for all you can eat pizza, salad, and soda. Really can't beat that deal anywhere. Plus they have a decent selection of craft beer on tap and plenty of TVs for watching NFL or MLB games. read more

I have ordered here twice and will never do it again. The first time it took 2 1/2 hours to get my food. This time it has already been over an hour and he keeps telling me my pizza is on the way when I never ordered a pizza. I tried asking the indian guy that answered if my food was made, was it in the car on the way and he kept saying yes maam your pizza is on the way. Server told me they had been having trouble with their draft beer all afternoon. When he tried to pour one, I realized the problem - the beer was warm. I asked for white wine instead, but they forgot to put any in the refrigerator. We ordered a combo pizza with original crust with extra cheese. We received a cracker thin crust with no extra (very little actually) cheese and called the store to complain. I stated to him that our receipt states "original crust" yet ours is paper thin and like a cracker. He stated "we only have one kind of crust so I said cracker thin? I brought the family in today for some pizza and WOW! Great friendly service, our pizza came out quickly and tasted awesome, plenty of food for the right price. The dining room had multiple TVs which was a plus and it just seemed like an all around good environment to go for lunch and/or dinner. Definitely coming back! read more

My first experience was not good. You pay over $30.00 to have a pizza delivered you would expect it to at least be decent When I called the order in they told me it would be about 45 minutes until it was delivered. 57 minute's later they called me back and "asked if I still wanted the pizza and if I did it would be another 25 minute's" (after working 15 hour's that day) I said ok I was wore out and really did not feel like getting out. The pizza would not exceed anyone's expectation's, kind of bland with no flavor! hell you could go to Safeway and pour ketchup over a slice of white bread, slap a slice of cheap bologna on it and you have a Straw Hat Pizza! read more

I was a long time regular, but I can no longer recommend this restaurant. The beer is warm and the food is average, at best. The service is some of the worst I've ever seen in Fairfield. Many times, it was clear that orders hadn't made it from the cash register to the cooks in back. After sitting and waiting for 30+ minutes for food, I've gone to ask for the status of my order. They'll tell you that it's almost done, and 15 minutes later come out with it. This has happened multiple times. Complaints to management appear to fall on deaf ears. They advertise that they have the NFL Sunday Ticket, but don't. If you go there hoping to catch your favorite football team, you're disappointed, unless your game is being broadcast on one of the local stations (I can get THAT at home!). And to top it all off, the posted prices for food and drink are wrong (I'm pretty sure that's illegal) There are plenty of places in Fairfield to spend your hard earned dollars, Don't waste your time here. read more
