We ordered a few pizzas and some sides to share Meat-E-Or Garlicky Chicken Chicken Wings Tortellini with Marinara sauce Unfortunately they were out of chicken wings when I arrived to pick up my order, but I was able to replace it with another pasta so I ordered the Tortellini with Alfredo sauce in its place. Don't Waste Your Time On The Lunch Buffet.... Went for the lunch buffet about 3 months ago and swore I wouldn't go back. Yet I did today with the same results. NO PIZZA at the Pizza Buffet. I was there for almost 30 minutes and the only pizza was half a old, dried up looking one. Looked like it had been there for some time. There were 7 or 8 others all waiting for something to eat. I've been going to this place for about 7 years, and over the years have had some problem with inconsistency. 90% of the time the food is really good, and even when it isn't, Soni, the owner is very happy and eager to make it right. The inside of this place is also really awesome, lots of TVs and they're always willing to put on what you want to watch. Fantastic place! This the best place to watch the UFC/ boxing events! They have TVS everywhere plus a big projector so you don't miss a thing! The pizza is so good! We got a large pepperoni that was delicious and hot with the perfect amount of gooey cheese. Other people at our table got wings and the bread sticks and they looked amazing! Next time we are going to order those as well. They have a lot of beers on tap. I'm not much of a beer girl so ordered a bottle of rosé for only $20 and later a spiked seltzer for $5. Great prices! This is the place to come for UFC fights.(Probably letting the secret out though.) However, tonight is chaos with the front room showing the Canelo Alvarez v Kovalev fight. Ehh! We're here for the Nate Diaz v. Jorge Masvidal fight. Inaugural Baddest Motherbleeper Title is on the line. We ordered a Meat-or (All Meat) pizza and a mini cheese pizza for my daughter. Pizza was decent for such a busy night. It was hot when we got it and it was smothered in meat toppings. Can't wait for the fight to start. If you don't want to pay for Pay-Per-View fights, this is the place to come. Bottomless self serve soda also. Check it out... but get there early if you want a seat. Otherwise, it's SRO. Finally decided to try this place since I live right down the street from it. Sorry to say I'm disappointed. I ordered a small lemon pepper chicken pizza. The taste of the pizza itself wasn't bad, but the issue is this place is WAY OVERPRICED. Like, almost to an absurd level. I spent about $17 on a SMALL size (10in.) pizza. Yeah, it tasted ok, but it couldn't outweigh the bad taste in my mouth from feeling that I got ripped off when I was walking out of the establishment. Did it taste better than Domino's? Sure. Was it so much better than Domino's that I will now go here instead? FUCK NO. I can get a large 3 topping from Domino's for $7.99!! If I'm going to eat pizza, since everyone regrets it afterwards anyways, I'd rather eat mediocre pizza from a chain pizza place, than pay double or triple for pizza that is only slightly better. At least with the former I don't also regret wasting money on top of eating unhealthy pizza. I mean, just compare the prices to California Pizza Kitchen, an actual nice full service restaurant that specializes in pizza with high quality ingredients. Straw Hat's SMALL pizza is the same price as CPK's pizzas, which are unique and made in brick ovens. I can get a spinach and artichoke pizza, or a Jamaican jerk chicken pizza, or some other interesting specialty pizza for the same money I spent eating a basic bitch pizza from here. Fix your pricing you guys. I'm sorry for being so harsh but it's true. You're ripping people off. Your pizzas are nowhere near good enough to justify what you're charging. read more

Have to say for my first time eating Straw Hat Pizza, it was actually pretty darn good and alot better than Round Tables. The place is pretty big for a pizza place. What really stood out to me was the different varieties of beer they had on tap and ofcourse the happy hour!! The manager I assume greeted us warmly and made sure we were taken care of during the buffet in regards to preference of pizza. The price for buffet with or without salad bar is great option. Fun place to bring the kids since they have plenty of games. Plenty of seats as well for large crowds and parties. We had my daughter's birthday here on a game night and rented out the semi-private room. It was easy to arrange, order a party package and we were done! Easy. Blanca assisted us over the phone and was very pleasant, patient and helpful. When we arrived, two staffers helped us. They were also very helpful. I haven't been to many straw hat pizzas in my lifetime. (Maybe only a handful of times) I have had nothing but terrible experiences in the times I have went in the past. A friend of mine invited me out to watch a warriors playoff game. I have never went to this location, only the one off Hesperian. (which is now closed) I was amazed to confirm that the food was way better and higher quality than any other Straw Hat chain I've been to. I also enjoyed the fact that it wasn't overly packed full of people. It was just the right amount, and you can still hear yourself talking to the person next to you with no problem. M guy friends and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings in Union Landings to try and catch the UFC fight. To our surprise, they weren't showing it (and wouldn't be showing any UFC fights till November). My friend pulled up a UFC app that showed which restaurants in the area were showing it (there really is an app for EVERYTHING) and this was the closest place. Luckily it wasn't too crazy packed when we got there. I had no expectations for food. We ordered a large aloha pizza, 24 pieces of wings and a couple pitchers of beer. The wings were delicious! Super tender and almost to the point of falling off the bone. I was surprised! The aloha pizza was good as well, no complaints really. It took a bit of time to order, being that there was a long line and only one person at the register. But everyone was friendly! +1 for having free wifi. This place was PACKED and LOUD when I came here on a Saturday night to pick up some pizza. It's a loud and happening place to be. They have a ton of TVs lined up all around the restaurant too. We ordered two king sized pizzas and a chicken Caesar salad which came out to about $55. The pizzas have the toppings spread out consistently which is always nice to have (annoying when they just throw it on and one slice has 20 slices and another slice has none). After a friend kept posting about their beer selection, I decided to follow their social media. The food and beer highlights only kept enticing. Then I seen they were showing Pay-per-view events..... Now what I remember, they used to have a location in San Leandro but never managed to go. We walked in and noticed they have a happy hour Monday thru Thursday from 3-7pm of 15 % off food and some alcohol dranks. I was scanning the menu when the cashier Blanca was friendly and helpful. She help me with recommendations. I did not see any high chairs and she brought me one, she noticed the arcades were off and turned them on since I came in tow with two active girls. She made sure everything waa good and was on top of cleaning, greeting walk ins, answering phone and bussing tables. It was a great experience and the pizza was delicious as well. read more

On Sept. 17th I ordered a delivery from this Straw Hat location. The order was good but they failed to include a 2-liter that was part of the promotion I ordered. I called in to tell them about the mistake and much to my surprise about 20 minutes later it was dropped off. In this day and age the most I was expecting was a half hearted apology or maybe a dollar off a future order. It is nice to see a company still go an extra mile to make things right and help secure a future customer. I am in Union City and at least 10 minutes from this location. I came in to pick up my pizza, I noticed that the workers were not wearing masks or not properly wearing it. I felt that my pizza was tainted because they were not practicing safe food service. One of the workers was also sweeping around the kitchen area where they were still prepping food.
