Chickarones ended up exactly where they needed to be. never. Again.
    Meghan S.

I don't understand why this place makes it to the top of everyone's favorite fried chicken list. I hate to be "that person" but you can look at the chicken alone and tell its not going to be good. Its pretty, light in color, and not a speck of seasoning in sight. Round trip to YUCK-Ville. My last visit, I ordered the Double dark (2 quarter pieces), greens, mashed potatoes and gravy alongside a biscuit. YES to: biscuit, mashed potatoes, bread pudding sauce HELL NO to: chicken, greens, gravy, chickarones (I can't say anything about the bread pudding because they forgot to put it in my bag--super annoyed with that). The gravy was watery, the greens were super tough, and bitter and the chicken was just awful. I could taste the grease from the chicken and knew immediately it was old. THE CHICKARONES WERE GHASTLY REPULSIVE! MISS THEM ALL TOGETHER! The biscuit was soft and flakey; I used the bread pudding sauce for dipping and made for a yummy dessert. The mashed potatoes are obviously made with real potatoes. With a little more salt, it could be award winning! If you want good fried chicken, just skip this place. Head on over to Mike's.

I was at an antique mall and met a woman who had just eaten at Street Fine Chicken. She said she drives from 3 cities over to eat there and then come into the mall. It was her special treat. That peaked my interest, so me and my husband went there for lunch after that conversation. And it was very good! There is a quality about the food that separates it from other chicken places. There is praise on the walls in their restaurant about the humane care for the chickens served at their restaurant, and I appreciate that. The only critique I have is that their fries are too salty. Maybe it's just me, I am sis notice to salt. But other than that one issue, I love this place.

Sad looking chicken thigh! I think; could be a breast.

What a disappointment! I had not eaten since 9:30 Friday morning; and I was extremely hungry! Got home and I was disgusted of how the chicken looked. I ordered SIN KILLER PERI PERI; Their website says two pieces of thighs. No way! It was one thin piece that looked like a small thin breast! It looked nothing like the photo! The biscuit, which was wrapped in paper and was soaking up the sauce. The brussels sprouts were overloaded with vinegar and overly burnt! The restaurant smelled of urine and some of the tables had dishes from previous customers. Why I'm not sure, because there was one customer, no one in line, so it wasn't as if they were busy. In addition to disappointment in my order there wasn't any utensils and napkins! We're remodeling our kitchen, and everything is packed. I had to rummage through the trash to wash previous used plastic ware in order to eat.

Let me start off my stating this location is really nice and clean with a nice dinner decor. Customer service was absolutely good, cashier was very pleasant and suggested different options based on what I was telling him I had a taste for. Their menu consists of fried or grilled, with an array of options for your sides to choose from. So, here's my honest opinion the Mac & cheese was good and the mash potatoes gave good ole grandma while to them very good. Biscuits came out hot and fresh and delicious. Actually, everything was made to order fresh so there will be a wait for your fried chicken . Street Bites were okay to me , came out fresh batter on both chicken and tenders is good, however once you get through that the chicken is okay. No taste to the chicken once you've gotten through the skin. I definitely wouldn't do the fried chicken again at all but would order the sides for sure. I'm going to give them a second try for the grill chicken and see if it has that flavor to it. I'm a fried chicken connoisseur and it's a no for me... looks amazing and comes out hot and fresh but very blend once you've gotten through bite it. Love the atmosphere and the staff ' try them and make your choice!

    Not worth the price

Do not waste your time or money. When they 1st opened they were great. The past few times I've been very dissatisfied. I paid $25 for this meal delivered by DoorDash and it was awful. The food was lukewarm the biscuit took up most of the tray. They don't seem to care what happens after they get your $$. the drivers aren't equipped to deliver, can't follow instructions or directions.

    Looks juicy, is not.

Due to an episode of the outsider, I had a sudden urge to find a great fried chicken place. I'm in DFW, so my options aren't limited. That said, for our first stop on this fried chicken pilgrimage, we landed here at Street. Good reviews, found in multiple articles as being the best. The restaurant is simple, order at the counter. They offer brined chicken either roasted or fried, and we were there for fried, so that's what we went for. I got a quarter white, hubs had half a chicken, and my kid had a kids chicken sandwich. So here's the deal. The breading on the chicken is delicious, and you can taste that it is definitely brined, so, flavor through the entire piece. My chicken tasted great. But. When I chewed, the chicken did the squeaky thing that only dry chicken can do. I don't know how to explain it, the chicken looked juicy, but as I ventured further, I could see the meat was stringy and shreddy. So, definitely overdone. The brine gives it the illusion of being juicy, but it's actually not. From a sides perspective, the Mac and cheese had the same issue, it tasted good, but I might as well have had a can of chef boyardee because the noodles literally fell apart and you couldn't even pick them up with a fork. Zero stars for the Mac. Hubs had greens, and he said they were ok, but when I tried them, I didn't understand why they were sweet. That didn't seem normal to me. The biscuits really seemed like frozen biscuits, with some honey butter smeared on top. Mashed potatoes had way too many skins, but I guess at least they were rea and well seasoned. The gravy was very much not real gravy, most like something from a packet or a can. A lot of places do that though, and I don't think most people care. I, however, am a southern girl, and gravy matters. My daughters chicken sandwich was in a different breading, but she liked it. All in all, decent, but I wouldn't trek across the metroplex for it.

Easy to order for both dine in and takeout. They have a lot of seating and food came out quickly. Their chicken tenders were flavorful and moist - great dipping sauce options as well. I really enjoyed their wedge salad - it was huge!

Pork chop and buttered biscuits. (Took a bite)

Food absolutely delicious! I had pork chop with mac & cheese. Service started out pretty good with a young man, then he switched out with a young lady. This killed the whole vibe because she was not as attentive and very blah. She sat at a table on her phone the whole time. I wanted another drink, but she didn't even return until we were finished eating! At this point, I just decided to leave. I'm usually a good tipper but geez. Needless to say, the place was very cute and cozy for a cold winter night. Great comfort food!-This was Cedar Springs location.

Street's Fine Chicken in Dallas is a fast casual restaurant and serves high quality chicken dishes. It has a sister location off Cedar Springs that offers table service, but this location is more accessible and just as good. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars Atmosphere - Street's Fine Chicken is in a shopping strip off Forest Lane in Dallas. It's your typical fast casual restaurant - there is a dedicated space to stand in line to place an order, there are plenty of tables and seats, and there is a place to grab a drink. 1/2 Star Service - The staff is very friendly. We took time to place our order, and they were very patient and made several recommendations. Once you order, you get a number, and your freshly prepared dishes will be brought out to you. 1 Star. Food - Street's Fine Chicken is good. Really good. I started with their Little Devils. Splashed with Sriracha and jalapeños, these eggs were cute with a kick. Their Chickarones (fried chicken skin with lime) were big and crunchy. I was hoping for a nice dip to come with it, but instead we just used the table hot sauce. I went with the Biscuit Sliders, which comes with one chicken strip biscuit and one egg and bacon biscuit. Tip: Use a fork. I tried to hold the chicken biscuit sammie, but the freshly baked biscuit didn't hold up. It's ok, because it was still delicious. I mixed the crispy, juicy chicken strip with the biscuit and gravy, and my tummy was very happy. The egg and bacon biscuit was also great, but the chicken strip was king. 1 1/2 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. Honestly, I'm not sure why I don't come more often. Street's Fine Chicken is in a convenient location, the prices are reasonable for what you get, and the food is delicious. Yes, I will be back. 1 Star.

    Sin Killer Peri Peri
    Jason G.

The good news is that they are always busy, so the chicken tastes fresh because it just came out of the fryer. The staff is always friendly and patient as there is always someone who has never been ordering and taking too much time :-). The Sin Killer Peri Peri is moist and has a nice kick, too! It comes with a side, I love the collard greens...and a biscuit.

Show Bird dish for brunch was just okay... too many of the fried crispy onions. There was a mountain of them and they overpowered the whole dish for me.

Street's Fine Chicken located in the strip mall near the intersection of Forest and Inwood.

The menu was fun to explore! Lots of choices of what kind of chicken do you want and how do you want it? I selected the 1/4 chicken dark with the maple glazed Brussels sprouts and a biscuit for $8.95. My dining guest chose the 1/4 chicken white and green beans and a biscuit for $9.45. I read that they brine the chicken in herbes de provence. I love cooking with that herb so I was excited to try this chicken. The flavor of the chicken was excellent and it was nice and moist. The Brussels sprouts were excellent as was the biscuit. My only complaint was the amount of chicken I received in my meal. My 1/4 chicken dark was mostly bones! There was hardly any meat on it at all. And for the price of $8.95, did not seem like a good value at all.

Typically, I rate based on several visits to get an overall picture of the place, but I will bypass the rule if the experience was exceptional (#1). Mike's was downright excellent. I ate the food warm and I ate it cold, and I'm still thinking about it. I tried to save some time by ordering online and also bypass any potential lines. Thankfully, there were none when I arrived, but a very full house of happy eaters despite being well past primetime lunch hours. The staff was friendly in the front but fielding many orders at the same time. I missed the literal pick up window outside, but was happy to get a gander of what it looks like inside. There's plenty of seating for groups and the place seemed a lot cleaner than the divey narratives folks emphasized. Prices were not astronomical, as I paid $14 and $13 for an order of 4 tenders + 2 sides, as well as 2 wings and 2 sides. The tenders were nothing like a Raising Cane's with skimpy portions and high price tags, instead it was plump, crispy, and perfectly fried. The accompanying sauces (Mike's sauce + buffalo sauce) were excellent additions and complimented the crispy fries. I was extremely impressed with the mac & cheese and very flavorful, mashed potatoes and gravy. The wings were no different: soft exterior with a nice crunch, meaty chunks off the bone, and wasn't too greasy. While the green beans weren't the most memorable side, the creamy corn was strangely addicting. Next time, I'm ordering the sides separately and in a large. I can only hope the other locations are just as good and will make good effort to visit them all. It's a rare occasion to be this infatuated with a place, but I'm confident it will be the first on my return list when I'm back in Dallas again. ___________ (#1) Or exceptionally bad.

Bro, plumbing is confusing). Naturally, I had to ask AI where to get the absolute best fried chicken in Dallas, and it sent me here. Ordering online was super easy, though I wished the menu had pictures because I like to see what I'm getting. Exactly 20 minutes later, I got the text that it was ready. The parking lot is tiny. If you drive a big truck, be prepared to maneuver like a pro if it's packed. Inside was busy, but there was zero heavy grease smell lingering in the air. You could easily grab lunch here and go about your day without smelling like a literal fryer. Plus, the crowd was surprisingly chill. Nobody gave off that chaotic, sketch energy you get at a KFC or Wingstop where you feel like you have to lock your truck doors three times just to walk inside safely. It's a really calm environment, which is awesome if you hate loud crowds. Pickup took less than 5 minutes. After a 15-minute drive home, the chicken was still loud-crunchy and insanely crispy. Puts fast-food chains to absolute shame. Fair warning: my first drumstick was a massive sodium bomb that almost made me rage quit and leave a two star review. But I was so hungry, so a quick drink later, piece number two and on were absolute perfection: juicy, meaty, and flawlessly seasoned. So that first piece of chicken just was coated in not-fully-mixed-well seasoning batter or something like that. I am officially obsessed. Come September when bulking season hits, I'm literally going to live here.

It is also disability easy to maneuver if you are in a wheelchair. The interior is small on the inside and nicely decorated with a large ode to chicken. This is not a problem for those who need to bring in a wheelchair, rollater, walker, or stroller as they are impeccablely supportive, as well as very accommodating. On busy days that we have decided to dine in at this establishment, it has never been a problem to manipulate my varied tools throughout the restaurant. Parking sometimes can be a little tight but don't let that worry you because people are always coming and going. For details regarding our most recent meal, please see the following: Appetizer: We order the Deviled Eggs. The eggs were seasoned appropriately and not too salty. Moreover, the eggs were not over cooked and the yolks we nicely whipped. Entry: I order the chicken and waffles while my husband ordered the chicken fried steak. Both were delicious. The chicken was moist and not dry whist the waffle was fluffy with little crispy edges. It was a textural wonderland. I personally do not like syrup or other toppings on my waffles (weird I know) however my husband does and he said the syrup was good. Consequently, when I eat waffles, texture and flavor really matter to me. It was slightly sweet and paired nicely with the seasoned chicken. Additionally, the chicken fried steak melted on our tongues like butter. The meat was not over cooked, tender and the steak cut smoothly on our knives. The umami flavor of the steak and the robust yet well rounded seasoning of the breading paired nicely with the buttery mashed potatoes and the white gravy that accompanied the meal. We have enjoyed eating at this restaurant many times. I have never had overcooked or undercooked chicken. Each time, I am greeted with a kind smile and service is quick especially on busy times. Needless to say that I recommend this restaurant. Yet since this is a review, I will say it. I recommend this restaurant. Happy Eating. Warning: I am not responsible for the overwhelming joy you may or may not experience when eating here.
